Amazon Prime Day 2022 - FAQs
Amazon Prime Day began in 2015 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. Since then, this event has consistently been Amazon’s largest sale, with significant discounts across all product categories.
Prime Day will take place this year on July 12 and 13, according to a June 16 press release from Amazon. This year, Prime Day will expand to 20 countries and include more small and medium-sized businesses than ever before, according to the press release. Amazon only hosts one Prime Day event annually, so mark July 12-13 on your calendar.
The Amazon Prime Day event spans two days. That means you have only 48 hours to obtain the most incredible discounts. As in previous years, Amazon has unofficially extended Prime Day discounts with pre-Prime Day sales. We also anticipate post-Prime Day sales in the days that follow the event.
Prime Day discounts are exclusive to Amazon Prime members. A membership to Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year (there are some discounts for students, seniors, and other qualifying individuals). If you are a first-time Amazon Prime subscriber, the company offers a 30-day free trial.
Prime members can earn a $10 credit by participating in Prime Stampcard beginning on June 16. Utilize the following four Prime member benefits to activate your credit:
- Stream Prime Video.
- Listen to Prime Music.
- Borrow a Prime Reading or Kindle Unlimited book (or add it to your library).
- Make a regular Prime-shipping eligible Amazon purchase.
After completing these four tasks to fill your stampcard, you’ll receive a $10 Amazon account credit. This $10 credit is redeemable on Prime Day purchases or future Amazon orders.
What are the top Prime Day discounts for 2022?
It isn’t easy to overstate the potential savings of Prime Day. Last year, there were over two million deals in all categories, including home, technology (including Amazon devices), fashion, appliances, furniture, beauty, and travel; this year, there will be even more deals.
