The VonShef Electric Hand Mixer is lightweight and compact. It is ergonomically designed to ensure a comfortable grip and minimal strain on the handler.

You can easily disassemble and store the mixer. It does not have a large footprint, which means it does not require a lot of storage space. This feature also elevates it to the level of an excellent on-site tool.

Performance

VonShef 5-Speed Hand Mixer is a pleasure to hold, with a gently curved, generous handle that features a couple of finger slots for an enhanced grip. When the beaters or dough hooks are inserted, the whisk becomes slightly forward-heavy and slightly throws off balance. This generates some vibration, but not enough to be alarming. Due to the lightweight nature of this whisk, it’s comfortable to hold even at high speeds, where it does tend to vibrate.

There is plenty of room for experimentation with five speeds and a turbo button. There is a noticeable difference between the speeds on the thumb-operated switch, and pressing the turbo switch stirs things up.

VonShef 5-Speed Hand Mixer is equipped with two powerful beaters, dough hooks, and an excellent whisk. They click into place slightly too quickly, and the eject button releases them with little effort. We wish they were more reassuringly secure, but they operate with ease. We particularly enjoy the long dough hooks, which quickly cut through bread dough. Meringue, like buttercream and whipped cream, whisks speedily and efficiently.

The unit has five-speed settings, which you can adjust to match the speed required for your recipe. This mixer is ideal for mashing potatoes to whipping up fluffy creams and eggs. Additionally, the turbo boost provides a burst of power when needed.

The slow start button enables you to begin mixing your ingredients without splattering. After the operation, you detach the attachment by pressing the eject button. With your thumb, you can operate the speed setting and other buttons.

Cleaning

This hand mixer is simple to operate and clean. You have to plug the attachments into the power hub and mix your ingredients. After that, you can detach the attachment by pressing the eject button. To clean, swirl attachments in warm soapy water or place them on the top rack of the dishwasher.

VonShef 5-Speed Hand Mixer is a well-made and highly stylish whisk with a lovely retro shape and cream-and-silver color scheme. It weighs 800g and, despite its compact size, performed admirably during our test, owing to a robust five-speed 300W motor and high-quality accessories.

The generously curved handle with two-finger grips is particularly appealing. We prefer a firmer, more reassuring click when inserting the accessories and a better push to eject them, but the attachments remained in place throughout our test.

We highly recommend this affordable, robust whisk not only for its excellent performance but also for its stylish appearance and easy handling.
