Here Are 6 Easy Steps On How To Cook Frozen Meatballs Now

Do you want to know how to cook frozen meatballs, but cannot seem to get that perfect finished product when you need it the most? Perhaps, you’re preparing for a weekend party and your handy meatballs that could have been the star of your pasta don’t seem to cooperate?

You’re saying, “Oh my! What am I going to do now that my friends and relatives have been confirming their attendance for this once a year event? Would my meatballs ruin the entire month of planning I’ve spent for this gathering?”

Let me tell you something, girl. You don’t have to fret and worry and let those wrinkles remind you of the stress you’ve been having these past few days. I’m going to share with you a classic meatball recipe I got from my mom, and I hope you like it.

The entire process is easy. It won’t make you break a sweat at all! In this tutorial, by the way, I’m going to walk you through several alternatives that you can take advantage of depending on what’s available (oven, oven toaster, microwave).

So, if you’re ready, and I am, too, let’s begin and solve the frozen meatball mystery.

What You Will Need

      • Frozen meatballs
      • Rival Crockpot
      • Sauce of your choice
      • Water

    Alternatives For A Crock Pot

    Oven

If you got your oven, such as the Oster TSSTTVMNDG, in the kitchen, then this will do. Just preheat it to 350 degrees and then spread your meatballs on your baking tray, ensuring each meatball is about half an inch apart from each other. Best thing to do is to spray it with a nonstick spray to prevent the meatballs from sticking to the tray. Bake your meatballs for about 11 minutes until each of them is heated through and they turned slightly brown. Take them out the oven and add them to the dish. As a tip, see to it that the other dish where to add your warmed meatballs is already hot.

Using an oven for cooking frozen meatballs is handy. All you have to do is to set the temperature and the timer, and then get back to your meatballs after 11 minutes or until they turned slightly brown in color. Do not overcook.

    Toaster Oven

Just like in the first alternative, you can also make use of a toaster oven. Yes, this little kitchen friend isn’t only for toasting slices of bread and reheating food, but also for cooking frozen meatballs. I found the Black & Decker TO1313SBDexcellent for this task. It’s efficient and heats up quite fast.

So for this one, let’s start with preheating our oven toaster for 350 degrees F, and then add a foil at the bottom of the rack to catch oil falling from the meatballs. Just follow the same process as with our first alternative and then take out the meatballs after 10 minutes or until they are slightly brown and heated through. Add your gorgeous meatballs into your dish. But since the oven toaster may have little space to reheat a bag of frozen meatballs, you may have to repeat the process up to three times.

So without even saying, cooking frozen meatballs using the oven toaster may not be for those in a hurry to cook in one batch. But if you don’t have any other alternative, then you may stick with this one.

    Microwave

When I’m in a bit of a hurry, I use my Samsung Counter Top Grill Microwave to heat through and cook my frozen meatballs. Just like the oven alternative, a microwave is also energy-efficient, as it does not take a lot of time to perform the task.

If you are yet to get your microwave, I found the Oster OGH6901 perfect, as it has good reviews and its brand has already been established in the appliance industry. Anyway, so with the microwave option, you have to do the same procedure, only that you should only cook your frozen meatballs in two to three minutes in the ‘high’ temperature setting.

As a tip, put a paper towel underneath your meatballs to absorb some oil from the cooking process. Before I forgot, another tip is to check and read your manual to find out the exact cooking time for meat, depending on its weight as well as on the wattage of the appliance.

That’s it! Take out the meatballs when they’re heated through and slightly brown in color. Now it is time to add them to your dish, or just add gravy or tomato sauce on top of your meatballs. You can also make a Swedish-meatball by using milk-based sauce, which is something I prefer over tomato sauce.

According to LIVESTRONG, you can microwave meatballs on high for four minutes, and then stir and heat them for another two minutes for them to be thoroughly heated through.

How to Cook Frozen Meatballs: The Instructions

      1. Get Your Meatballs Out The Bag And Arrange The Meatball. In The Crock Pot. Take your frozen meatballs out the bag. Get your crock-pot and then arrange the frozen meatballs into it.
      2. Add Water To The Pot. Fill your pot with about three-quarters of water of the way full so that you can cook your meatballs properly and that there will be an equal heat distribution.
      3. Distribute The Meatballs Evenly. See to it that your meatballs are evenly distributed the crock-pot, ideally about an inch apart from one another.
      4. Cover Up. Pour the sauce of your choosing onto the meatballs, and make sure that there is enough sauce to cover the meatballs fully. You may pick the traditional spaghetti sauce or a milk-based sauce. You can also choose sweet and source or cream sauce for your meatballs. In any way, you can dress up your meatballs with the sauce that you love. There is no stopping you!
      5. Cook Your Meatballs. Cover the pot and turn it on high for about four hours. After, you should turn it on low for about eight hours. Do not forget to stir them occasionally to prevent them from sticking. When the time passed, you can check and see that your frozen meatballs are fully cooked. And if they are, you can add them to your favorite spaghetti dish or any pasta dish of your choosing.
      6. Serve. There are so many ways than one to serve these amazing meatballs! You can have them as an appetizer or as a sub-dish.

Summing this section up, you should fill your crock-pot with three-quarters of water, and then arrange your meatballs inside it, pour the sauce and cook for four hours and then for another eight hours. Make sure that you occasionally stir your meatballs to prevent them from sticking.

Nevertheless, there are so many ways than one on how to cook frozen meatballs, so choose whichever is most convenient for you. Finally, ease up and relax! Meatballs are very easy, and you don’t have to break a sweat. They’re very versatile, and they can be added to any dish, including pasta. You can also make use of any leftover sauce in your fridge. Enjoy cooking!
