I still had the 6 quart crockpot after his dad and I split.I tried cooking smaller portions, which never went well – literally not once – because I was basically cooking for myself (refer back to the part where I said my son likes nothing). Even with having leftovers or freezing excess, we were wasting so much food and I hated that. I finally concluded I just needed a smaller crockpot if I wanted to use one, but I couldn’t justify the expense. The power light is a huge deal for me as there have been previous occasions that I forgot to turn a crock pot off due to it’s not having one. The ceramic insert is super easy to clean, and while it came with plastic liners I never use those. The outside of the slow cooker does get warm, but not hot. The brand name, BTW, is “cook” backwards. For the price I couldn’t have done better- and as I’m giving my kitchen a vintage look, I chose mine in pink. Was rather surprised it didn’t come with a cookbook, but with all the recipes online these days, that’s no problem. I cooked up a batch of 15 bean soup for New Years Day and it turned out great. This little slow cooker is cute, I had to have pink because the others colours cost more money, dont understand why? I filled it with water to make sure it worked , I do like it but was disappointed in the finishing touch of the glazing discoloration inside the ceramic pot and it has 2 very noticeable dark marks on the top of the ceramic pot due to missed glaze, I worked in the industry as a potter in the Uk the workmanship is very poor quality but other than that it works well,
I asked the seller for what plug I need. He couldn’t advise and told me there are loads on sale on Amazon. I took a photo and bought an American plug but this didn’t work. But I basically plug this in and drop the chain in. After an hour shut it off and let it cool for another half an hour or so when the wax starts to harden then hang the chain. Easy peasy and I don’t have to worry about contaminating the instapot.

A really nice slow cooker. We’ve owned more than our fair share of slow cookers over the last 50+ years. They’ve come and gone, but this one is definitely a keeper. We actually wore out a couple of them, but many of the predecessors to this one were purchased simply because the offered some new bell or whistle that promised to revolutionize the slow-cooking process. Trouble is, none of them actually delivered any significantly improved (easier, tastier, whatever) food to out table, so each in turn found its way to a thrift shop. As long as this Cuisinart (we got the 4 quart model) continues to perform the way it has so far, it will keep its place in our cookware lineup. The cooker is well made, and has all the usual slow cooker functions, but the thing that sets it apart is its searing performance prior to switching to slow-cook mode. It really does an excellent job. The non-stick aluminum insert conducts heat (up to 400 deg.) very well, and stays hot even after a large roast is placed in the pan to sear. The pan is light in weight but sturdy, and the pan coating makes cleanup easy. Time will tell, but the coating appears to be tougher than the average non-stick, with none of the chip-prone irregularities that some of them have, right out of the box. At this point, I’d give the MSC-400 a solid recommendation.
The best slow cooker out there. We purchased one of these in 2015 and it still works great. Just purchased a second one this year as we sometimes need two for big family gatherings. Cuisinart continues to make a solid product that does the job (temp controls, and timers are all accurate). I would like to see an option to order a replacement cooking pot for our original. It’s still in good shape after hundreds of meals served, but the nonstick has a few scratches due to standard use over the years. I’ll just say you can’t go wrong with the MSC-600. It’s outlasted our other slow cookers.
Best slow cooker I’ve had. This slow cooker has multiple functions, which makes things easier and cuts down on kitchen products needed. One of my favorites is the brown/saute option. Instead of having to use a skillet to brown meat before starting to slow cook, I simply brown it right in the cooker, then start the cooking function. I also appreciate the low and high options, just in case I find myself with less time than I expected before I need to serve dinner. The various functions are simple to use. The insert is lightweight, so I can fill it with items straight from my counter, then carry the insert to the slow cooker. The non-stick surface cleans like a dream, whether I handwash (most often) or occasionally place it in the dishwasher.

Excellent slow cooker, far as I can tell.Five star attributes:- to add to one of the other reviews: the MANUAL for this cooker states it heats to 185°F on Simmer, 200°F on Low, 212°F on High, and 165°F on Warm. (one of the other reviewers mentioned this fact but didn’t state its source). 185°F seems to be the best cooking temperature from a bit of research, and missing from other brands.- very easy to program time and temperature on this, and to change it half-way through cooking if nec.Four stars for:- size. It seems perfect for 2-3 person household and have some leftovers. I would probably suggest one size up from this for a slightly larger group. If you’re just getting into slow cooking… you DO want to make enough for leftovers. They’re great.OTOH, these things are designed to work 1/2 to 3/4 full. So this size (3.5 quarts) may be fine. I’m on my second dish, so I’m still working that out. I DEFINITELY wouldn’t recommend those gian 7 qt ones unless you are sure about needing one that size.With mine, I should be able to make more food by increasing meat size and just using less liquid.I guess with a giant one, you could stack many more veggies under a smaller piece of meat, but it still seems like overkill to go above 4-5 qts imo. This was actually one of the biggest decisions I had to make on this purchase… :)FWIW, this capacity sits nicely on the counter, does not dominate it.Other notes:The outside is hot but you can touch it for a second. But I think all of them do this. It turns out that slow cookers work like this: heating elements heat the air between elements and the ceramic pot, which heats the pot. So, the outside would practically have to get hot. (unless there is a crockpot with an extra layer of casing for ‘keep cool’…but none are marketed that way…so it seems to be typical of this cookware.)Also – it was between this one and the hamilton beach one with the thermometer. Glad I picked this one. good seal on top and *lower temperature* (185) probably trumps a thermometer but then does the hole let steam out??.One question I do have is…this one seems to seal (pulling up lightly on the lid shows there is pressure holding it down).But…on HIGH, it seems to be letting bubbles escape….which I though was a no-no? (shouldn’t it seal fully?)I guess I have some doubts about that….except that I made chicken in it and it was extremely tender, that sort of ‘falling of the bone’ tenderness (tho no bone – it was chic breasts). It was excellent.Also not too much of a concern since I will try to cook on Simmer or Low from now on – makes the meat even more tender than on hi.(Chicken was amzing cooked on hi; Pot roast was very good cooked on HI and then low for a bit…on low only witwould have been super-tender amazingOverall very happy with the purchase and temperature choices, would have gone one size bigger, but this is great.

I love this crock pot. It is the perfect size for an additional unit for entertaining and the display is so visible and it is so easy to use. Would highly recommend and purchase again.
The product never worked right from the beginning. You have to buy a 220/110v converter to run this gadget. The power consumption is 200 w.To be in the safe side I used a 350w converter but the cooker display never came on nor the cooker. Awaiting replacement / refund. Cost of the cooker was Rs.8229.

Easier to clean because it fits in the sink, great crock pot. Like any crock pot the cleaning is a pain because you’re juggling a heavy ceramic pot that has literally spent hours cooking crud onto the surface. However, the shape of this crock helps because it actually fits in the sink. It always comes clean. Sometimes I fill it halfway with water, cut a lemon in half and toss it in there and put it on medium for a few hours and it helps a lot. It works great, I use it all the time and the pattern is pretty sweet too.

Just won’t heat. Couldn’t get this to cook soup even after 4 hours on high. Of no value to me if it won’t even cook soup. This is like the 4 th slow cooker that wouldn’t work on high or stopped working altogether. Where do I get a reliable cooker?
Doesn’t get hot enough to cook anything. I bought this crock pot for my daughter for Christmas – It doesn’t get hot enough to cook the food !!! We have tried chili and two soups and cooked them all day and they never cooked completely – sad it’s beautiful but fail !

None of that digital stuff that we love to hate! It’s shorter and wider than what I’ve had before, but I actually like that for when making frozen meat. My only complaint, and this is very minor, is that the lid doesn’t seem to fit on as snuggly as ones I’ve had in the past, but it’s still good enough to work. All in all, I’m quite happy with this purchase.
