- Prepare the Mochi Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, granulated sugar, and matcha powder. Gradually add the water while stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms.
- Steam the Mochi: Pour the mochi batter into a heatproof dish or shallow pan lined with parchment paper. Smooth out the surface with a spatula. Steam the mochi over boiling water for about 20 minutes, or until the mochi is cooked through and slightly translucent.
- Cool the Mochi: Once cooked, remove the mochi from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature. Then transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
