Mocha Smoothie

Need a healthy pick-me-up? Try this great tasting Mocha Smoothie to kick start your morning or afternoon.

This sweet frozen treat is sugar free and sweetened with bananas. I added chocolate rice protein but you can add cocoa powder or carob powder or even try hot chocolate mix.

For those coffee lovers, add a teaspoon of instant coffee (or a bit of strong brewed coffee) to get that hint of coffee taste and smell. Just the delicious smell of fresh brewed coffee is enough to get me moving. I could literally hold a cup of hot coffee and be just as well off. It’s the fumes that get me going.

This frozen drink is great for warm days or warm mornings when summer gets here…I am ready! Give me a minute to blend up a tall glass of Mocha Smoothie and I’ll be ready for the day.

      • ice

        1. Add all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

      Mocha Smoothie - FAQs

Simply brew your normal amount of coffee, let it cool to room temperature then pour it into your blender to use in your smoothie. Espresso powder: This might be my favorite way to use coffee in a smoothie. Espresso powder tastes amazing and a little bit goes a long way.

Yes, you can add ground coffee into your smoothie and it’s totally ok (and even good for you!) to eat coffee grounds. It’s not only a great way to add extra flavor and texture into your smoothie, it’ll also provide that added caffeine without needing to brew any coffee.

Mocha drink powder consists of a mixture of chocolate and coffee. It can be used to make either hot or cold drinks.

Drinking a green smoothie a day is a great way to curb sugar cravings. As you start to introduce more healthy nutrients and fiber into your body, your energy levels will start to increase. This increased amount of energy should be used to burn calories in the gym.

It’s a no brainer that water is the only calorie-free, sugar-free, money-free liquid option for your smoothie. If you’re drinking smoothies for weight loss, water should always be your number one because drinking water helps you burn calories and stay hydrated.

Bananas and coffee may seem like an odd combination, but trust us, this is a match made in heaven. Next time you’re grinding up your coffee beans, add in some fresh banana chips. This will help add a fresh sweetness to your coffee that sugar and other artificial sweeteners simply cannot duplicate.

Just slice a big banana and put it on a plate in the freezer for about 2 hours or do it before you go to bed and they are perfect for your next morning smoothie. Also, bananas and coffee go insanely good together so that’s a bonus!
