Peach and Pear Custard Recipe


  • 6 eggs
  • 5 tbsp castor sugar
  • 1 1/2 cans (14 oz can) full cream evaporated milk
  • 1 3/4 level tbsp custard powder
  • A few drops of vanilla essence
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 can each of sweetened peach and pear
  • Grapes
  • Cherries
  • 1 aerosol can whipped cream


  1. Beat eggs lightly with castor sugar in mixing bowl.
  2. Blend in milk, water, custard powder and vanilla essence. Stir till mixture is a smooth consistency.
  3. Strain mixture through a sieve into a baking dish. Fill a roasting tray with hot water halfway up the sides, put dish into try and bake in pre-heated oven 180°C (350°F) for 45-60 minutes until set.
  4. Cool before serving custard garnished with drained pieces of peach and pear, washed grapes, halved cherries and whipped cream.
