What You Need (Ingredients)
- A pound of pizza dough; keep it at room temperature which is the best temperature
- Pizza Source
- A ball of mozzarella
- Two chopped slices of pepperoni or mini pepperoni
- 20 cl of tomato sauce; you will also need for dipping
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper
- Some flour (all-purpose)
- Roller: To roll out the pizza dough
What to Do (Putting Them Together)
- Roll out Pizza slice dough on a lightly floured surface
- Cut the dough into circles by using a 3 inch round cutter of dough as much as you can.
- Roll each circle into a four 1/2-inch disc.
- Fill each disc with one teaspoon pizza sauce,
- Add three sliced pepperoni.
- Add 1/2 tablespoon mozzarella cheese.
- Add a teaspoon of cheese.
- Fold over, secure edges by folding, and crimp with the tines of a fork.
- Fold the dough in half, one batter at a time.
- Put dough together, reroll and cut, so you make maximum use of the mixture.
- Use fork for further sealing
- Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F
- Air fryer calzones for about 8 to 10 minutes, once calzones should turn brown golden.
- Repeat with remaining calzones.
- If you desire, serve with a Pizza source.
How to Crimp a Calzone Properly
