Crock Pot Smothered Pepper Steak


  • 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs beef chuck or round steak
  • 1 lge. onion, sliced
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 (4oz) can mushrooms, drained
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 can French style green beans, drained


  1. Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a plastic bag. Cut the beef into strips; add to bag and shake to coat.
  2. Discard the flour mixture and place beef in crockpot.
  3. Add onion, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, soy sauce and beans.
  4. Cook on high for 1 hour; reduce to low and cook for 6 hours.
  5. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 6.
