  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Soak French fries in cold water for at least 20 minutes
  • Drain off the water, and pat dry with a tissue. Toss fries with a bit of oil and salt.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and place fries into the air fryer. The amount depends on the capacity. 
  • Cook fries at 400°F for 17-20 minutes. Shake fries every 05 minutes during the cooking process to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Season French fries with a little more salt and serve with your favorite sauce.

Tips

  • Starting at a lower temperature ensures the potatoes come out tender. Increasing the temperature gives them a crispier texture.
  • Season these however you like, but I like to wait till the end to add salt.

shake the basket

Every 5 minutes, open the air fryer and shake the basket to check for doneness or until golden brown and crisp, 13 to 15 minutes

Season French fries with a little more salt and serve with your favorite sauce.
