How To Make Dough In Food Processor

Making dough in a food processor is extremely easy. Here are the steps:

  1. Add the flour, salt, and sugar to the food processor and pulse a few times to combine.
  2. Add the butter and pulse until it is cut into small pieces.
  3. Add the eggs and water and process until the dough forms a ball.
  4. Remove the dough from the food processor and knead it a few times by hand to form a smooth ball.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using.

Tips On Using Food Processor For Dough

When it comes to making dough, a food processor can be your best friend. This kitchen appliance can make quick work of mixing and kneading and produce perfectly consistent results every time. Here are some tips on using a food processor to make dough:

  1. Choose the right size food processor for the job. For small batches of dough, a mini food processor will do the trick. For larger batches, or if you plan to make dough regularly, a full-size food processor is the way to go.
  2. Add all the dry ingredients to the bowl of the food processor first, then add the wet ingredients last. This will help prevent the formation of lumps in the dough.
  3. Run the food processor for time specified in the recipe. Over-processing can result in tough, rubbery dough.
  4. If the dough is too sticky after processing, add a bit more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches the desired consistency.
  5. For best results, let the dough rest for 10 minutes before shaping or baking. This will allow the gluten to relax and make the dough easier to work with.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be able to churn out perfect batches of dough every time – and your kitchen will smell amazing while you’re at it!

Factors To Consider When Choosing The Best Food Processor For Dough

When choosing a food processor for making dough, there are a few things that you should keep in mind. Here are some of the most key factors to consider:

Motor Size

One of the most crucial factors to consider when choosing a food processor for making dough is the size of the motor. A larger motor will be able to handle tougher tasks, such as kneading dough, with ease.

However, it is important to note that a larger motor will also use more electricity and produce more noise. If you are looking for a quiet and energy-efficient option, you may want to opt for a smaller model.

Blade Quality

Another key factor to consider is the quality of the blades. You will want to choose a food processor with high-quality blades that are designed specifically for dough-making.

Some food processors come with multiple blades, which can be handy for different tasks. However, more blades also mean more parts to clean, so it is important to find a balance that works for you.

The capacity of the food processor is also an important consideration. If you plan to make large batches of dough, you will need a food processor with a larger capacity.

However, keep in mind that a larger food processor will also be more expensive and take up more counter space. If you only plan to make small batches of dough, a smaller model should suffice.

Easy to use

A food processor for dough should be easy to use. It should have clear and concise instructions. The controls should be user-friendly, and the appliances should be easy to clean.

Easy to clean

A food processor that is easy to clean will save you time and frustration. Look for one with dishwasher-safe parts that can be easily removed.

Additional Features

Some food processors come with additional features that can be handy for dough-making. For example, some models come with a built-in kneading function, which can save you time and effort.

Other models come with a delay timer, which can be helpful if you want to have the dough ready at a specific time.

The amount of money you are willing to spend on a food processor will play a key role in the final decision you make. More expensive models will have more features and be better quality, but they may not be necessary for your needs.

When choosing a food processor for dough, always check the warranty. An excellent quality food processor should have a long warranty period. This will ensure that you are covered in case of any problems with the machine.

Finally, you should also consider the quality of the food processor before making your final decision. Some cheaper models may not last as long or perform as well as more expensive ones. It is important to find a balance between price and quality to ensure you are getting excellent value for your money.

When choosing the best food processor for dough, be sure to consider these factors. With the right food processor, you can make delicious and perfect dough every time.

1. Best Overall: Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor

Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless

User reviews

I am so glad that I finally purchased my Cuisanart 14 cup food processor. It took me months of reading and watching videos to finally decide to buy this brand of food processor. I have not been disappointed one bit! I was really thinking I should save and get a Breville. But I made the plunge that fit my budget much better. I have made pizza dough that turned out wonderful and so fast. I make cauliflower rice all the time. It is so fast and easy. It’s definitely better to try to have your floweretts all cut about the same size. I make butter every week which is delicious and fun and I make home made peanut butter that my husband loves. I also have used it now several times for pie dough and empanada dough. It is super fast and easy and has turned out perfectly every time. It is very sturdy and doesn’t move at all on the counter while I make my dough. It also grates cheese evenly and with very little waste.. Clean up is pretty easy too. I wash it right after I use it, in hot soapy water and rinse well. The only complaint I have is that there are a couple of places that you can’t get in with a towel to dry. But I have found if I just leave it out on a towel for a few hours exposed to the air, those dry completely as well. Also, I have found that if I dry it with a tea towel it comes out shiny and new looking. I don’t use it for chopping garlic, but I tried it once and it worked. It’s just easier to do that by hand with little clean up afterward. I wanted to cover these points for you to hopefully make your decision faster than mine. It works just great and is much more budget friendly. I am very happy with my purchase.
Love it. It markedly shortens my prep time for meals. I had to get used to the set up as it was not intuitive for me, possibly because I am left handed. Also, pay attention to the line on the feeder tube as it will not work if food is sitting in it higher than the line. It is easy to clean so I don’t dread the clean up when I need to use it and it does not take up a lot of counter space. The slicer and shredder discs work great and the processor blade makes quick work of cutting and dicing foods. It is a big help in the kitchen.
What’s not to like. $.02 from a tuff customer. Get it. Small footprint on counter. Easy attachments. Very powerful – nut butters, tahini, hummus etc. Quick, even, easy processing – no need to keep pushing food down to process, as with my Vitamix. Removable blades – clean-up’s a snap. Noise control – no neighborhood ear protection required, as with my Ninja; my neighbors are thrilled.
Good appliance. This food processor works great. We still have it and use it alot. It has not given us any problems at all. The parts still work and look brand new. This appliance is easy to use and easy to clean. If you need a food processor this one is great. It comes with a few different blades also.
The 80s called. They want their food processor back. Well, not quite. And too bad, because that would’ve been a good thing. Odds are, that if you’re looking at the Cuisinart Pro Classic food processors you’ve caught wind that these are the flagship food processors with their roots in the 80s – probably the last decade of US Made, bullet proof manufacturing. From what I read, and now have experienced hands on, with my new Pro Classic 7 Cup, the styling is dead-on 80s, and there are hints of 80s build quality, but as a whole it’s not 80s through and through. The base, the blade, the discs, and the stem are close, and I might even say close enough, but time will really tell. The lids are better than the bowl — BUT THE BOWL, unfortunately, is just as bad as everyone has been saying. If the bowl were even up to the rigidness of the still sub-80s quality of the lids, I think I might have given this 5 stars – if not for the movement of the paddle switch. I really do like the over-all build of this food processor, even though it still falls short of its original 80s version. But, that aside, the clean design and simple functionality is a product done right. It makes sense that this is a flagship. I could imagine the larger Pro Classic sizes are probably even easier to use, with the double paddle switches on front. On my 7 cup I have to flip the paddle switch up for continuous on; a single paddle press down, like on the larger sizes, would be even more intuitive. It’s also worth noting that the movement of the paddle switch on this 7 cup is just OK; it’s not a precise and satisfying rocking and clicking into place like on a Vitamix. But, that wouldn’t be fair to compare this to that, I’m just relaying what some may want to know. This Pro Classic 7 takes a lot of pressure to click the paddle up. So much so, I could guess that I may have gotten a subpar switch (though technically not faulty). I think it’s worth adding something that I was curious about before I purchased this. In the video provided by Cuisinart, the woman demonstrating the Pro Classic 7 notes that the dough blade is included. The product details page on amazon and the kit I received do not have it. But, I thought I should relay that I’ve read that, due to the flour capacity limitation, you won’t even need the shorter dough blade for the 7 cup. And even on the larger sized Pro Classics, where you can fit more flour, America’s Test Kitchen claims that in their tests the steel blade was 15% faster. In other words, at least for dough, there is no need for the “dough” blade. Maybe there are other uses for it, I don’t know. The only and first thing I’ve made with my Pro Classic 7 is mayonnaise. And that worked on the first try. For others who’ve made mayo before, you can probably relate that it’s not always a success. This is my first time making it in a food processor. The cap on the included Flat Cover, with the small hole for doing thing exactly like making mayonnaise worked perfectly.UPDATE (4/5/24): The bowl scratches easily. I would’ve like to have seen Cuisinart leave out the spatula and use that extra plastic for the bowl. The bowl is such a critical part of this kitchen tool.
This is the one to get. I am now using my food processor all the time. This one does an excellent job and is so easy to use. It is heavy and well-built. It’s well worth the money.
The product is probably great, but I haven’t had the chance to try it because it is not adapted for the EU market. I couldn’t plug it in, so unfortunately I had to return it
Prompt delivery. After my third inexpensive food processor I decided to upgrade to this Cuisinart food processor. I couldn’t be happier! Very powerful motor. Even cuts. Makes meal prep a breeze. And very quiet. I highly recommend it.
I bought this food processor to replace one I already had. The one I had previously was exactly the same model and size. I have had three food processors in the last 35 years or so….the first one was a RoboCoupe and that company was bought out by Cuisinart. The last two were Cuisinart…the original one lasted 25 years and needed to be replaced because the bowl cracked. The second one, the Cuisinart one, lasted 11 years and the motor and everything was great, but the bowl cracked. I cook a lot and use the appliance numerous times in a week. It can handle a lot due to the larger motor, has a small footprint for easy storage, and is easy to clean. I like the bowl size of this machine, the size of the motor, and the construction of the machine. There are some cheaper models from Cuisinart that are made entirely of plastic and have very small motors. Buyer beware. I find the bowl capacity good for what I use it for, but I don’t use it for making bread as I have a KitchenAid mixer and due to the issue with the bowl I will not be grating cheese with it or using it for anything that creates quick torque on the bowl. I called to replace the bowl when it cracked, but the suggestion was to replace the bowl and the lids which would have cost almost a hundred dollars. Even though there are a few minor issues, I feel it is a great machine.

Cuisinart’s food processor with a price tag of $172, is not exactly a budget option, but it is an excellent value when all factors are considered. It has a 14-cup work bowl, a 4.5-inch-wide feed chute, 720 watts of power, which makes it easy to handle the dough, and a pulse button for control. A standard stainless steel slicing blade, a stainless-steel shredding disc, two food pushers, a chopping/mixing blade, a spatula, and a recipe book is also included.

With more than 3,000 reviews and an impressive 4.5-star rating, customers noted that it is simple to use, clean, and durable enough for any task.

The Cuisinart 14 Cup Custom Food Processor easily passed all our tests, including quickly blending cookie dough, thanks to its robust motor. In addition to this, it was the quietest model we tested.

The machine is simple to assemble, disassemble, and clean, and the grating and slicing discs performed well. Although it does not have as many accessories as other food processors, its simplicity and ease of use make it valuable.

This food processor is covered by a three-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. While its price is on the higher end, it delivers a professional performance that can quickly meet the needs of a home cook, including their high-capacity requirements.

Consider the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper 10 Cup Food Processor if you’re looking for a food processor at a reduced cost.  The Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper 10-Cup Food Processor was our fourth-place pick, and despite its lower price, it provided ample power and performed well in most tests. Disadvantages associated with the lower price include a loud operation and limited attachments.

Key Features
  • 14-Cup Work Bowl
  • Powerful 720-Watt Motor

2. An Upgrade Pick: Breville BFP660SIL Sous Chef 12 Cup Food Processor

Breville BFP660SIL Sous Chef 12 Cup Food Processor, Silver

User reviews

Perfect. I had a small 8 cup Hamilton Beach processor that lacked power and was very noisy, when the shredding disk broke for the second time in a year I decided to find something better. I went with a Cuisinart 11 cup, which I really wanted to like, but due to the flimsiness of the food chute and food pusher I didn’t feel as if it would last long so I returned it. Yes, this Breville 12 cup is more expensive, but the food chute and the food pushers are so much more sturdy and substantial that the extra money is well spent. This food processor is sturdy, powerful, and very fast! There are different size chutes you can choose, depending on the size of food you are working with. I love dialing down the adjustable blade (love this blade!) to paper thin and placing zucchini and cucumbers sideways so I can make long paper thin slices which are perfect for rollups/sandwiches, zucchini lasagne noodles, and layered salads. Also nice for making your own French style green beans. The food chute is wide and roomy! The adjustable disk, set to #6, slices the perfect burger tomato slice, no more tomato mush!! There is also a setting for storage keeping fingers safe for storing and washing. The reversible shredding disk works very well for shredding cheeses, cabbage, zucchini, or carrots. One size is large, other side is for smaller size shredding.I have been having so much fun using this food processor! It has worked out wonderfully on everything I have thrown at it. The plastic bowl and latches are nicer than what I found on the Cuisinart, it’s a bit taller than their 11 cup which makes it harder to store under the cupboards, but I found it fits perfect with the lid on it if I take the food pushers out of the food chute. I just set them next to the food processor on the counter. There is also a hidden cord storage inside of the base. Just pull the core out through the side when you want to use it then push the cord back inside when finished to help keep your counters neat and tidy.I received a dough blade, chopping blade with blade storage, spatula, adjustable slicing blade, and reversible shredding disk. There is also a removable spindle to use with the blades and disks that doesn’t fall off while emptying the bowl. Very nice food processor, I am so glad I upgraded to this one. It looks great, is well made, and most importantly works excellent!
Why you want Breville instead of Cuisinart. This is a long review and you deserve to have my credentials. I am an ex-Cuisinart owner. The first food processor I bought (because I didn’t know any better; see below) was the Cuisinart Pro and I suffered with that machine for 10 years until the detachable stem broke, liberating me from Cuisinart design flaw hell and allowing me to rush into the arms of Breville, a company MUCH smarter about design. I bought the Breville two years ago and, literally, finally understood why people love food processors so much. My husband and I love this machine so much that when a family emergency recently required us to convert to a commuter marriage, we bought a second Breville so that neither of us would have to go without. It would have been cheaper to get a Cuisinart Prep 9 or a KitchenAid, but the Breville is so superior in design and materials that there was just no way ethically that we could justify supporting another one of those crappy machines into production. If you’ve never owned a food processor before or if you’re looking to replace your Cuisinart, let me make this simple: Cuisinart $uck$ for making anything liquid and Breville doesn’t. If you’ve never owned or used a food processor before, it’s a little bit tough to see what I’m talking about in the product pictures, but basically the Cuisinart work bowl has a giant opening in the center. The chopping blade (which you will use for most things) fits over this hole to attach to the drive train. However, it’s not a water-tight or air-tight fit. AND.. the height of the rim of that hole is MUCH lower than the max capacity of the work bowl. SO… if you are making sauces or dressings or anything else liquid, it will get under the work blade and drain out of that hole making a huge mess and wasting whatever yummy thing you are putting together. Additionally, in the scenario where you are making something liquid and the level is higher than the chopping blade, the blade is essentially the “lid” over that hole and it is NOT secure. Because of this, when you pour the sauce/liquid out of your work bowl you have to hold the blade in place so that your liquid doesn’t leak out of the hole and also so that the blade doesn’t just plop out while you’re pouring. If you’re working with something hot, this is a particularly tricky and problematic maneuver. When you use your Cuisinart shredder and slicer blades, they click into the detachable stem and that stem then goes through the hole in the work bowl to attach to the drive train. Again, this is NOT a liquid or water tight seal to the workbowl. If you already have liquid in the work bowl at a higher level than something you are shredding or slicing, you won’t be able to just trade out the chopping blade for the slicer or shredder blade and party on. The liquid will completely run out and the detachable stem will not seal the hole. That stem clicks on and off of the blades and is a device prone to failure in a number of ways. It was actually the stem breaking on my old Cuisinart that liberated me from my Cuisinart. Yes, I probably could have just replaced the detachable stem, but I’d been looking for an excuse to liberate myself from this crappy product for years, so the stem failing actually did me a favor. It is worth noting that this design flaw persists across ALL Cuisinart food processors regardless of model. It’s a STUPID issue and I can only think that the reason Cuisinart is able to keep selling these products is that people don’t know they are needlessly suffering. I’m guessing a lot of food processor newbies make that investment like I did and then are stuck with it and then when it comes time to replace it, they go with what they know. DO NOT BE A CUISINART SUCKER!Yes, I know.. so far this seems like a review for Cuisinart and not Breville. But you have to understand the issue with the Cuisinart to really, really appreciate the Breville. With the Breville, the drive train is beautifully integrated to the work bowl in a waterproof element. There is NO WAY that this thing is going to leak, whether you are using the chopping blade or the slicer or shredder. The 1,000-watt motor is more powerful than the motors in all of Cuisinart’s products except the Elite line and as quiet as a food processor can be. On the counter, Breville’s sleek design and small footprint makes it easy to keep in ready reach… where you’ll want it.. because once you figure out that a food processor does not have to be a massive pain in the a$$ to work with, you’ll want to use it all the time.Yes, Breville is slightly more expensive than Cuisinart. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET PAYING A LITTLE BIT EXTRA for the dramatically better design of this product. You will have this machine for a LONG time. What is the price of needless suffering? I’m not sure, but I’m guessing it’s a lot more than the difference between the Breville and Cuisinart, especially when amortized over ten or more years.Don’t be a Cuisinart sucker. Refuse to support crappy design. Buy the Breville. You won’t regret it.
Powerfull processor. I purchased this to replace a 15 year old Cuisinart which was a real work horse in my kitchen. It needed a replacement part which was permanently unavailable. So it was time to retire the machine. I thought I would definitely get a Cuisinart but after reading the reviews and talking to a friend who owns a Breville, I decided to do a hands on comparison in a local store. What a difference in the solid feel of the Breville parts. The bowl was much thicker and appeared to have a better seal with a rubber gasket. Of course it is a pricer product but if it is a better, quieter machine it was worth a try.Fantastic, superior shredding and slicing over the Cuisinart and no issues with blending wet ingredients (no leakage!) I am very happy with my choice of the Breville 12 cup.One word of warning… Tell all of your dishwashing helpers DO NOT PUT THE LARGE PUSHER IN THE DISHWASHER!!! It will distort the plastic and will you will require a new one which has to be ordered (Amazon doesn’t offer it)
*Edit. Used my processor for the first time. It’s very noisy, but also powerful. Easy to set up and use. I used the fine shredding disc and it even did onions beautifully, and no waste! Easy to clean. I am beyond pleased.Just recieved this food processor. The building attendant pushed the box (big enough to put a large person in) into my apartment and took everything out for me. It’s packed like Russian nesting dolls in 3 boxes, one smaller than the next, so no way is this going to be damaged. First the heavy discs came out. Really heavy duty, and handles…no more putting fingers in round circles! Then, the bowl, all marked like a measuring cup. A thing of beauty, and everything appears to be very sturdily made. The attendant then hefted the gorgeous bottom onto my counter where it will live. It’s too tall to fit under my counter with the lid on in the correct but set in upside down it works. The 3 sizes of pusher openings are great. Honestly, I have to say this is the most beautiful appliance I’ve ever had. Even the bloody cord end is unique! Thrre is a hoke so you can pull it out without yanking and putting a strain on the end. It better also be the best working because there is no way on earth I can get this back into the box on my own let alone return it. You really need to be a body builder or put it in one spot right by an electrical outlet and let it live there. Send prayers that it works.
After our old one gave out I decided to spend a little more money and buy a better brand. It’s very easy to assemble and it isn’t rocket science to operate it. At first when I started it up I thought it was making an unusal noise, but after watching a few Youtube videos I realized it was normal. It isn’t really that loud. We love the adjustable slicing blade. Overall we’re happy with the product.
I have used food processors since the mid 1980s. I have gone through 5… maybe 6 of them? This is definitely a huge step up; lot of money for a kitchen tool, but wow.: what a performance. The bowl is larger than my previous one which is great – perfect for soups, batter, and sausage emulsions. And so easy to clean! The chopping blade is super-efficient: did garlic and jalapenos last night, and I ever never seen a machine chop so evenly. The slicing blade has an adjustable knob so you can vary thicknesses… AWESOMNESS! And it works great! I have not yet tried the grater. Oh and also: the machine is so much more quiet than any machine I have owned before! I would very highly recommend it. The base is heavy – such a powerful motor – but that is OK as I leave it permanently on my kitchen counter.
Easy to assemble. Easy to operate. Very quiet. The motor base is heavier than the others that we’ve which likely reflects quality. Overall the nicest food processor we’ve ever had. However, this unit must be handled with care. The plastic parts seem less durable than the cheap Hamilton Beach unit that we had previously. My daughter accidently dropped the lid while handling it, and it fell to the vinyl floor, and broke. Fortunately, replacement parts are available from the manufacturer.
I have to highly recommend this food processor, works excellent on everything I have tried so far shreddedcabbage, carrots…slicing disc cucumbers and puree applesauce with the chopping blade. I have had aboutthree Cusinarts in my day but this Breville sure out ranks everything. I just wish I had made the purchaseyears ago.Highly recommendLynn

This Breville heavy-duty food processor has a more robust induction motor, with a maximum output of 1,000 watts. However, the bowl is slightly smaller than the previous model, with a 12-cup capacity. This food processor’s motor has overload protection so that you can knead even dense dough without interruption. Additionally, the base’s rubber feet add stability.

It has a pulse function, a 5-inch-wide feed chute (and two smaller chutes), an adjustable slicing disc with 24 settings, a universal micro-serrated S-blade, and a reversible shredder for fine and coarse grating, and a dough blade. The safety brake on this pick prevents the blade from spinning if the lid is opened.

There is a wide variety of food processors on the market today, ranging from small choppers that hold only 1 or 2 cups to large, heavy-duty machines that belong in a professional kitchen. This high-end food processor can accommodate up to 12 cups of ingredients in its work bowl and is powered by a 1,000-watt motor that makes short work of even the most difficult ingredients. It is also unparalleled in versatility, with three different chute sizes and an adjustable slicing disc.

We wanted to determine if the Sous Chef is one of the best food processors and is worth its premium price. Over several weeks, I used the appliance to prepare various recipes, and despite a rocky start, I eventually understood the hype surrounding this appliance. Although it is two to three times more expensive than other food processors, it is simple and enjoyable to use and produces consistent results.

Key Features
  • Grating cheese and chopping herbs or nuts to mixing batters and pureeing soups
  • 12 cup cap; BPA Free plastic work bowl; Safety braking system
  • Large 5″ wide feed chute eliminates need to precut most ingredients
  • Momentary pulse button for maximum control and even processing
  • 1000-watt induction motor offers great versatility and power in a compact size
  • Prevents the motor from operating unless the bowl and lid are correctly locked in position, and large feed pusher is inserted
  • Voltage: 110 to 120 volts

Beyond thrilled. I have had this food processor for about a week now and I am over the moon with how amazing this thing is. I originally had a great food processor, a Kitchenaid that was about 8 years old. I gave it to a friend when I purchased a new Cuisinart food processor with a spiralizer…it turned out to be a piece of garbage that had really cheap parts so it was back to looking for another food processor. My research showed that a lot of the food processors today are made much lighter weight and are made out of less sturdy material. I was not happy with that as they break easily and can sometimes slide around if they’re off balance. I was hesitant to spend this much money on a food processor, especially with the varied ratings on Amazon and a few other sites. The good:Right out of the package, you could tell the device was solid. It was heavy, sturdy, and even the plastic bowl was higher quality than the previous ones I had purchased.I am in love with the slicing disc – you can see the difference in thickness of slices. It’s great! I can slice incredibly thin or really thick, which is amazing for various dishes and dehydrating! The slices are consistently the same size, no leftover piece thumping around in there after it has sliced the majority of the veggie or fruit. My previous food processors would leave a chunk of food that it would not slice or grate. The sound. This thing is insanely quiet. I did not think there was such a thing as a quiet food processor but this is it. I was not looking for this feature but it’s nice. It DOES make noise, just much quieter than the others I’ve had. I can continue to listen to the audio book or carry a conversation without yelling while using the machine. It’s fast. I mean, really fast. Not that all food processors are not efficient but this will slice through the food much quicker than the previous ones I’ve had.I like the timer. If I need to blend, whisk, or kneed something for a certain amount of time, I can set it. It also tells you how long you’ve been blending.I like having the option of a large or small bowl but this is not a unique feature to this machine. They do create a leak proof environment so if you want to make something liquid in the top and then move on to chopping something solid in the bottom, you can do that without any issues. The bowls are pretty sturdy.I have not seen gaps that trap food or water that lead to mold/mildew growing. Will update if I find any.The parts to the chute stay in place without any weird twisting to get parts to lock. I love this as my last one was hard to lock the parts together and the small chute would always fall out and thus broke. The small chute can serve as a small measuring cup as well!I really like the storage for the blades. My first one did not have this and it was always tricky to find a place to store them that would be safe and not result in finely sliced finger tips. The variety of discs is also quite nice. The fry blade does thin strips of fries. I have used both of the s blades and they work wonderfully. I have not used the other blades/discs as of yet. There is a brush included to make clean up easy as the device is not dishwasher friendly. The Cons:Size – this is a large device and would not have worked in past apartments where size is a constraint. Be sure to measure before buying! I’m glad I now have a place large enough to store the food processor and attachment box.I would say the price but I have a feeling long term, this device will pay for itself. I did worry about the price and justifying the cost. However, we use the food processor all the time, hoping this will hold up to years of use.Washing – not recommended to put in the dishwasher. This isn’t a huge problem, I just hate washing dishes by hand when you have a dishwasher available. However, it’s very easy to clean and there is a brush included. There are no other cons as of right now.Other thoughts:I might have to buy the dicing add on as this food processor is amazing to use and would love more control over diced veggies.
This is an amazing appliance. This thing is incredible.Comparison to others: This is actually the third food processor I have owned. The first 2 were “the other major brand” and they were ok. Not too bad. The second one was getting to the point where the bowl started needing to be replaced so I thought I’d explore other options. To give you some idea, I had probably used the previous one I had maybe every other week on average. It did ok but with some things the motor would not be too peppy (it would drag). It was a 14 cup I believe.I saw this one and was thinking about it for a while. I’ve got a Breville microwave that I love, and a Breville espresso maker that is also pretty excellent. This one seemed to have more features even though it was a bit more money, I cook a lot so I thought what the heck.I LOVE IT!!! It is so much more versatile with the different blades (and I haven’t even used the variable slicer yet!) and it is build so solid. This thing just chews through cheese like nothing. I’ve had it now a month and a half and have used it 4 times more frequently than I used the “the other major brand”. Ok I confess the reason is probably the french fry cutter which does a really nice job (see the picture) but wow it does great with biscuit dough (I usually just mix the liquid in by hand to be safe), I’ve shredded all kinds of cheese with it, both hard and soft. It is super powerful, I can power through like 10 potatoes in about a minute cutting french fries. The bowl is huge and it comes with a mini-bowl. I have yet to use the salad dressing feature but I’m sure I will. The recipe book is actually useful (there’s only one other appliance I use the recipe book for and that is the Phillips pasta maker, usually I just throw away the book).I *love* the organization of the blades in the container. That in and of itself is worth at least 50 bucks worth of upgrade not having to search all over for the blades and stems. It does take up space so keep that in mind if you’re tight on space, but the organization just makes me so happy. It’s even labelled! The outside of the unit is super easy to clean (it doesn’t seem to have a bunch of nooks and crannies like my “the other major brand” did so it’s an easy wipe down). I actually think the bowl is easier to clean as well because the chute is a single opening (unlike the “the other major brand” that has the double opening which has to be taken apart). A general note about cleaning on food processors…I have run the bowls through the dishwasher but I’ve found in general if you don’t, the parts will last much longer. Granted you can probably get new parts but overall I’ve found that is a losing proposition because something will break/wear out the day of some huge party you’re having and you’ll end up chopping a bunch of stuff by hand when you’re in a big rush for time. Cleaning up a food processor in general is just a pain in the rear, there’s not much way of getting around it.It is very tall and doesn’t fit under your average upper cabinet. It’s not really a problem for me because I store most of my appliances in shelves but it’s something to mention (because gosh I do use it a lot). But in all honesty just leaving the base on the counter doesn’t look too bad because it’s pretty sharp. So if you’re on the fence, get yourself one, a bag of potatoes, and some delicious duck fat, and go to town. YUM.Edited to add: I have used the variable slicer and it works fantastically well, very impressive. Did paper-thin celery and no issues with the strings dragging. Perfect. I also used it to slice ginger root very thin for pickled ginger and it worked beautifully (see picture)Edited to add: I bought the add on dicing unit (along with the extra small and extra large dicing disks) and it works amazingly well. Makes a beautiful chopped salad and salsa, I really enjoy using it. Can’t wait for my tomatoes to come in this summer so I can make a ton of salsa!Edited to also add: the design of the pusher is so fantastic…I purchased a second pusher and had my husband drill a hole in it. I fill it with oil and it automatically drizzles oil into salad dressings (I make a LOT of salad dressing because I can’t stand most commercial salad dressings). Works like a charm! I know this thing has a whisk attachment but I still haven’t figured out how to use it lol.
Me encanta cocinar y este procesador me ha facilitado esta tarea.Por favor Amazon. Vendan el Kit completo para actualizar este modelo de procesador. Me encantaría comprarlo!!!
We have functioned efficiently in the kitchen without a food processor for decades. My wife and I are fairly accomplished home chef’s and make a wide range of foods, so a food processor has always been seen as more of a potential storage problem than a great help. I now admit that I was wrong. The addition of the food processor has opened up the possibility of many more foods, and certainly cut down on preparation time. Now everything from pizza dough to biscotti to humus is an easy process. The trick is not to put the machine away, but find a surface in your kitchen in which is it always available. As a result of doing this, we use our everyday. Now, why this Breville? It’s powerful (really powerful), and their designers gave it a lot of thought. Wide feed tube (with a safety that requires it to be in place before the blade will turn, but with a smaller integrated feed tube that allows for liquids to be poured in while it’s running. The adjustable blade allows for great flexibility in cutting (we actually made our own potato chips), a smaller integrated internal bowl for smaller jobs (shallots and garlic), a whisking blade (for whip cream, or as we’ve done even your own butter). The timers on the front lets you know how long you’ve been pulsing for, and the other button allows you to start the machine and let it run. Finally, the entire family of blades comes in a hard plastic storage unit that you can stand on its side or upright. However, even if you leave it on the counter, it keeps the blades clean and covered. Note on the blades. They are sharp. Not just “Oh my, that is sharp”, but more like surgical scalpel sharp. Despite great caution with every use, we’ve had 2 cut finger incidents in the month since we got it, so PLEASE be careful with the blades. This unit was substantially more than many other food processors, and while I have not tried others, I feel that this unit was good value for money. Heavy duty (heavy being the operative word here), robust bowl, blades, housing, and storage unit. We feel it was certainly worth the money and has changed how (and what) we cook. For your consideration.
We have a large family, and I do a lot of cooking, which includes vegetable preparation. This machine has simplified life so much that I LITERALLY thank God for it every single time that I use it. It includes a wonderful assortment of attachments, and can handle a large load. It performs wonderfully, and it is certainly the best thing that I have ever purchased for my kitchen. I love that the attachments neatly sit on my countertop, ensuring I always have what I require at my fingertips. This is one tough machine. You can tell that it’s quality by its weight and its performance! Worth it’s weight in gold!
Un motor muy potente, y Breville es una marca de confianza.
so far I have only used a few times. from grating frozen cheese to chopping up veggies and making dressings. this machine is a power house! Its larger than most heavy and comes with a ton of attachments. It grates frozen cheeses with ease. Very little gets stuck between the grating blade and the top of the housing like most processors . the blades are super sharp and all the attachments are organized well in the holder. I like this machine very much and can reccomend

If you frequently bake bread or other types of dough, you should consider purchasing the most powerful food processor on this list. This model from Breville has a maximum output of 1,200 watts and comes with a 16-cup bowl and a 2.5-cup bowl to handle both large and small kitchen tasks. Here, you get two for the price of one.

In addition to the all-important pulse function, other features to love include:

  • An extra-wide, 5.5-inch chute (which means less chopping beforehand).
  • Two food pushers of varying sizes.
  • A unique countdown timer (that also counts).
  • Non-skid rubber feet for added stability.
  • A silicone seal that prevents leaking when mixing many liquid ingredients.

One shopper remarked that it did “some of the best kneading’s I have ever experienced.” Another shopper noted that this model was pricey but “rock solid” and performed better than a previous model they discarded because it could not correctly handle the dough.

The Breville Sous Chef 16 exceeded expectations in terms of versatility and usability. The micro-serrated S-Blade consistently chops or slices ingredients, resulting in evenly cooked, beautifully presented meals. The Sous Chef will quickly become indispensable if you frequently prepare meals for a large family or group of friends.

Accessories such as a Julienne disc, whipping attachment, French fry or vegetable stick disc, reversible shredding disc, adjustable slicer, and emulsifying disc provide additional versatility and functionality.

If you enjoy kitchen gadgets and are willing to pay a premium for the best food processor in its class, the Breville Sous Chef will not disappoint. Considering its unrivaled motor power, premium materials, and sleek design, this appliance is well worth the premium price.

The Ultimate Kitchen Powerhouse. I recently purchased the Ninja BL770 blender and I have been absolutely thrilled with its performance. This blender has exceeded my expectations in every way and has become an indispensable kitchen appliance in my home.First and foremost, the power of the Ninja BL770 is remarkable. It effortlessly blends through even the toughest ingredients, whether it’s crushing ice for smoothies or pulverizing frozen fruits and vegetables. The 1500-watt motor is a true workhorse and makes quick work of any blending task. The versatility of this blender is also a standout feature. With its multiple blending options, including single-serve cups, a large pitcher, and a food processor attachment, it can handle a wide range of tasks. I love the convenience of the single-serve cups for making personalized smoothies and the food processor attachment for chopping, slicing, and dicing. It’s like having several kitchen appliances in one.Cleaning the Ninja BL770 is a breeze. The parts are easy to disassemble and are dishwasher safe, which saves me a lot of time and effort. The pitcher and cups are made from high-quality materials that are both durable and easy to clean. One of the things that impressed me the most is how quiet this blender is compared to others I’ve used in the past. Despite its power, it operates relatively quietly, which is a big plus for early morning smoothie making without waking up the entire household.Overall, the Ninja BL770 is a fantastic blender that offers exceptional performance, versatility, and ease of use. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and powerful blender for their kitchen. It’s been a game-changer in my daily meal preparation, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
No regrets. We had the Ninja Bullet for a few years but we used it daily, multiple times a day. The poor thing didn’t hold up at all. It leaked and the blender cap cracked almost immediately and was very high pitched and loud, and did NOT stick to the counter at all. We had to hold it in place and even the blender cup because it would blend so fast the cup would come loose and it would stop. This blender is nothing close to the bullet, THANK GOD. It’s so much quieter, still loud but it’s dull and doesn’t wake my husband up in the morning. I love that it sticks firmly to the counter top. I’m impressed with the quality and “craftsmanship”. It’s made so well and super easy to clean! I’m very, very happy with this! Now let’s see if it can handle multiple uses a day!
A Kitchen Powerhouse: The Ninja BL770 Mega Kitchen System. I recently purchased the Ninja BL770 Mega Kitchen System, and it has been an absolute game-changer in my kitchen. This 1500W powerhouse is not just a blender; it’s a multi-functional marvel that has streamlined my cooking and beverage-making processes.**Versatility at Its Best**: The four different functions – Blend, Mix, Crush, and Single-Serve – are remarkably efficient. Whether I’m making smoothies, processing ingredients, or kneading dough, this machine handles it all with ease. The 72-oz. Total Crushing Pitcher is a dream for frozen drinks, turning ice into snow in seconds, while the 8-cup food processor bowl is perfect for chopping and dough making.**Convenience for the Busy Bee**: As someone who’s always on the go, I absolutely love the two 16-oz. Nutri Ninja Cups with To-Go Lids. They’re perfect for whipping up a quick, nutrient-rich drink before heading out. Plus, the machine’s sleek black design fits beautifully in my kitchen.**Power and Efficiency**: The 1500 watts of power ensure that every task is completed quickly and efficiently. It’s worth every penny, especially at the amazing price of $99.95. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their kitchen game. This is truly the #1 Best Seller in Food Processors for a reason!
I’ve been waiting for this for a while. I live with an Indian chef (so that means I’m a sous chef, lol). If you’ve cooked any Indian dishes, you know that they require lots of steps. LOTS of steps. Grinding, chopping, sautéing, etc. I’ve worn out 2 grinders in the process, so when shopping for a new grinder/mixer/blender, I was going for power. This one, the Ninja, has more power than anything else I found in the non-commercial line. It’s amazing! The pitcher is easy to install on the machine, the buttons are intuitive, and the blade comes out for easy pouring and cleaning. It has several attachments that I haven’t gotten to use yet, but I’m so happy with this machine! It does what the advertisement claims. It’s a Ninja!
High qualityEasy to use and clean
This is a superb appliance in every way: well built, easy to use, easy to clean. It makes a lot of noise early in the morning but that’s a small price to pay for the perfect smoothies! The delivery was efficient and timely. If you want a good blender with extra capabilities, look no further.

With its 8-cup food processor bowl and dedicated dough blade, it is simple to produce 2 pounds of dough in under a minute. Not only will it drastically reduce the time required to make homemade bread, but it also works for pizza and cookie dough!

This machine has the potential to be the only food processor you will ever need, but its warranty is only one year. It is a good machine, but as with everything else in life, it is not flawless. You may wish to consider their 3- and 4-year added protection upgrades to safeguard your investment.

Outstanding. After much research, I decided to purchase the Ninja Professional Food Processor BN601. I was interested in an average size processor with high wattage, and this one is perfect. The three attachments that it comes with satisfy all food processing you need. Because there are three blades versus one for chopping, the food is processed evenly, and the function speeds are easy to use. I was concerned about the size and weight when I was researching which product to purchase, but the 9-cup bowl is perfect for 90% of the recipes. Because I don’t keep the processor on my counter, the 10.43 lb. processor is easy for me to transport. Two added bonuses: 1. There are suction cups at the bottom of the processor to hold it securely to the counter. 2. All attachments can be put in the dishwasher. I love this processor and highly recommend it.
Best Food Processor for shredding cheese with easy easy cleanup. Just purchased the Ninja BN601 Professional Plus Food Processor to replace a Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor purchased back in 2011. The Cuisinart held up great over the years but using it to shred cheddar or other softer cheeses was a complete nightmare; cleanup was not a breeze. With all the little nooks and crannies in the feed chute it became a labor of hate so I decided to find a food processor that did an adequate job with shredding cheese and oh yea used as a food processor as well.I purchased the Ninja BN601 Professional Plus Food Processor based on reviews and the appearance of being easy to clean. The BN601 listed great features: 1000 Peak Watts, 4 Functions for Chopping, Slicing, Purees & Dough with 9-Cup Processor Bowl, 3 Blades, Food Chute & Pusher. Not only did it have a chopping blade with four blades at different levels which made chopping food a breeze, the sealed bowl for easy emptying of contents, the shredder attachment along with no nooks or crannies for pieces of cheese to hide made it my dream come true to clean. Certainly easy to clean.Cannot recommend it high enough, especially if you plan to shred a lot of cheese.
Very powerful and easy to use Food Processor. I replaced my forty-five-year-old Sears food processor with the Ninja 1000-watt BN601 food processor. I followed all the instructions a then I use the processor. My first attempt was to chop celery and onion. I was making chicken soup. The celery and onion came out perfect. My next attempt was pizza dough. It also came out excellent. The food processor whirled it up just like nothing. I also made cookie dough. I made Kolacky cookies. They came out excellent. The dough came out smooth and perfect. The same with the pizza dough. These are the things I use to make with my old food processor and that had a less wattage than this one.It sticks to the counter really well and does not move. It pulled through the doughs with no problem. I cleaned it by hand, and it washes up really nice. Yes, the handle will get wet, but it dries in no time. So far, I am impressed with the Ninja food processor. I will be using it to chop and slice many foods and vegetables. I am glad I purchased it and now I can make some of my old recipes.
Versatile and powerful. I love Ninja products. I have a large blender and small processor that have worked for years. I got this one to up my capacity. I enjoy making homemade hummus and needed something bigger to make it for gatherings. This machine performs well and does what I ask of it but there are a couple things I’d improve. The buttons while easy to clean aren’t satisfying to use. I’d rather have actual buttons that physically depress and stay on. It doesn’t whip my hummus as smooth as my smaller machine. Small areas on the bottom and sides are missed by the blades so you do need to scrape if you’re not making a large amount. Other than those things, this processor is great. Easy to clean too.
Good product at a good price. Works great and easy to clean. Really can’t beat it for the price. Make sure to use a brush to wash blades like the instructions suggest. The blades are very sharp.
Ninja Food Processor. I love it! It is easy to use, quite and it does an excellent job!
Powerful and quiet. Money well spent
Me gustó demasiado este producto ya que me ahorra mucho tiempo en estar cortando la comida como verduras y carne que pica muy bien. Eso si hay que tener cuidado con las aspas que ya van como dos veces que me corto por accidente cuando lo lavo
First time I use but not working and having speaking very bad don’t buy such a costly product and not performing
Facilita mucho el cocinar. Corta muy bien. Me gustaría que el vaso fuera de vidrio en lugar de pero cumple sus funciones correctamente.
As an avid home cook, I killed my last food processor after 5 years of use. I bought this one because NINJA has a reasonably good reputation. I really like it! for my own home use its great. I made the Naan bread recipe and it was delicious. I’ve made one loaf of bread easily using the dough blade. Adding a bit more flour helped pull the dough bits from the bowl and blade. It cleaned fairly easily with no areas that got wet on the inside of the handle. It fits together easily and has I nice release button to release the lid from the bowl. It’s a good product! Does it’s job. The only design flaw would be the food chute. Carrots or cucumbers fall to one side of the wide chute. No centre O to slide narrow veggies into. There is also no small hole in the food pusher to allow liquids IE: olive oil to be added slowly for things like mayonaise or milk etc. Its small enough to fit easily on my counter. It’s a keeper for me.

Indeed, Ninja makes excellent food processors, so we present you with two options side by side. This machine is identical to the professional model, albeit on a smaller scale.

This machine lacks the smoothie blender features of the previous one, but it is an excellent food processor that chops, purees, slices, and shreds in seconds. It also includes a powerful dough mixer that can produce up to 2 pounds of dough in 30 seconds by combining the ingredients.

Even though this machine is dishwasher-safe, we do not advise placing any of its components in the dishwasher. The washer’s elevated temperature will make the plastic more brittle. The Ninja comes with a 1-year limited warranty, so you should take care of your pieces.

The best way to clean the blades is with a bristle brush. You want to ensure that you remove all food particles, and a meeting is the only way to reach every nook and cranny. However, if you are willing to maintain this machine, it will take care of your food processing needs.

6. Cuisinart Elemental Small Food Processor, 13-Cup

Cuisinart Elemental Small Food Processor, 13-Cup, Gunmetal

User reviews

Great Processor. I can’t say enough good things about the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has truly become an indispensable tool in my kitchen.First and foremost, this food processor is incredibly versatile. With its 8-cup capacity, it can handle a wide range of tasks, from chopping and slicing to shredding and even kneading dough. Whether I’m prepping ingredients for a weeknight dinner or tackling a more complex recipe, this machine delivers consistent results every time. One of the standout features is the powerful motor. It effortlessly tackles even tough ingredients, making quick work of chopping nuts, pureeing vegetables, or blending smoothies. Plus, the various included blades and discs provide options for achieving the perfect texture, whether it’s a fine mince or a coarse chop.Cleanup is a breeze as well. The removable parts are dishwasher-safe, which saves valuable time after a busy meal preparation.Safety is a top priority with the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has a sturdy base with non-slip feet, ensuring stability during operation. The lid locks securely, preventing any accidents. What truly impresses me is the durability of this appliance. It feels well-built and designed to last. Cuisinart is a brand known for its reliability, and this food processor lives up to that reputation. In summary, the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor is a kitchen workhorse that has made cooking and meal prep a joy. It’s versatile, powerful, and built to last, making it an excellent investment for anyone who loves spending time in the kitchen. I highly recommend it!
Excellent dicing. The dicing kit works!I have  KitchenAid KFP1642OB Onyx Black Pro Line 16-cup Food Processor , it has dicing kit also, but it was driving me crazy. It is huge, and heavy, and all accessories and the storage bin were huge, and worst thing – the dicing kit was huge pain to use because it has very weird system where it has to be locked inside, and it has very tight fit and very hard to use. I bought it for dicing kit, and was so frustrated about it. Also if I tried to dice something which is too soft, the processor would mush it and send the mush into the center shaft all the way down to the gears. It was pain to clean, and eventually food residue made it impossible to adjust the thickness of the cut for their adjustable slicing blade. Now, Cuisinart made their own food processor with dicing. Yay. I just had to try it, and I am glad I did. First of all, it is much smaller and lighter, it fits under cabinets (you will still have to pull it out to use it, but it is so much easier to move). The light weight does concern me some, as well as it having all plastic gears, but we will see. The dicing kit is very easy to use, I do not have to lock anything – just drop pieces in place in the correct order, and you ready to go. Removing it is as easy. Unlike Kitchenaid, Cuisinart dicing kit does not get stuck if potatoes are unpeeled. Nor does it make a total mess out of boiled potatoes – those do not come out as perfect as raw potatoes do, but it makes excellent potato salad with very little waste – some of the potatoes do mush and spread over the blade and the shaft, but it is nothing compared to Kitchenaid, where you get 95% mush.To make dicing work, you need to push on the food down, it would not dice under its own weight. That means that the very last slice will no be cut through completely, and will have to be pushed down with the dicer cleaning tool. Overall the dicing kit works, and works much better than the other one, and really worth it for me.Other things I like – the main processing bowl is sealed both in the middle and around the top – you can process runny batter or soup or whatever you want and there will be no mess outside the bowl. That sealed design means that there is one more gear set – from the base to the bowl, and from the bowl to the middle stem adapter and then to the rotating blade. The slicing blade is adjustable, the adjustment is on the blade itself, not on the outside of the unit as with Kitchenaid. All of the blades have hefty plastic insert indie and easy to grab by it, so they are much safer to handle. I was surprised that when Cuisinart is turned off, it does not stop right away – my old Cuisinart has brakes to stop it immediately.. Kitchenaid continues to spin some after turning off, too, so no dice here.
Great machine, but know this:. I don’t leave many review but ……This is a fantastic machine, I LOVE it and use it several times a week. I especially like the dicing option and make dressings in it every week. The dicing blade is very hard to clean but because it’s so awesome, I am ok with the trade off. It works great for cauliflower rice, sweet potatoes, carrots etc. I also purchased the spiralizer and it’s awesome. I’ve even made spiralized beets! They are so great mixed with the diced cauliflower rice. This machine will not make diced tomatoes, no matter what the advertising says. It destroys the tomatoe, but who cares, I have resorted to zipping, garlic, cilantro, tomatoes, a can of roasted tomatoes, jalepanos, onion, salt and pepper and it’s perfect. The only MAJOR complaint I have about this machine is that the gasket that is around the lid is NOT replaceable and I have not found an aftermarket gasket yet. A few days after I got the machine the gasket snapped and I called Cuisinart, and the only way to replace the gasket is to replace the lid. Luckily they warranted it for me and sent a new one. Here is a hint: if this happens to you, the lid that comes with the dicing blade is much less expensive, buy this lid and use the gasket. EVEN with this issue, the machine is amazing and I can live with this. I’ve learned to be very careful with the lids and blades and clean immediately and not to stack in an attempt to protect them from damage.
Received a refurbished model but paid for new
This is a game changer i should have purchased this product before only two settings chop /grind but man it works great made homemade salsa and chopped up tomatoes and onions like they were nothing! I recommend this
100% recomendada.

Earlier generations of Cuisinart food processors required precise alignment for the machine to function, which was often difficult to achieve.

With this machine, the new SealTight system and locking blades allow everything to snap into place effortlessly. It is as safe as it is simple to use.

With the dough blade, you can mix and knead up to 1 pound of dough in 1 minute, whereas it would take 20 minutes or more to do so by hand, which is undoubtedly worth the brief time required to clean the processor.

This machine is light and has only 550 watts of power, so it is not the most powerful in the world.

If you are making a dense dough, you may need to hold the machine steady to prevent it from rocking excessively as the dough is being tossed around. Still, we believe this is a small price for the time and hand cramps saved.

Key Features
  • 13 cup large work bowl and 4 cup smaller, inner nested work bowl
  • 550watt peak power motor
  • Exclusive patent-pending seal tight advantage system seals bowl and locks blade
  • Supreme wide-mouth feed tube with small, medium, and large pushers
  • Dicing disc with 10mm grid plus cleaning tool
  • Stainless steel chopping/mixing blade with patented blade lock system, including dough blade and small and large s-blades
  • Stainless steel reversible shredding disc (fine/medium) and stainless-steel adjustable slicing disc (0-7mm)
  • Electronic touchpad controls High/Low/Off/Pulse with illuminating blue LED lights
  • Accessory storage case

👍. I like it very good and easy to use
Works great. I bought this for my sister in law and she loves it
Functional, easy to use. It’s got a lot of power, I’ve even been able to grind roasted lentils I let cook a little too well, so they’re very hard. It took a long time to do but that’s my fault. I look forward to trying all the attachments. I like how the grinding jar is closed at the bottom and how tall the middle post is, since it holds more liquid that way and I’m not worried about spills. The attachments all in white feels like a safer option than black dyed plastic. Even so they smelled a bit but that’s new plastic.I haven’t had an issue with the lid getting stuck at all, it’s only a little awkward because I’m left handed and I tend to do things backwards. The down sides: the belt is rather loud. The way the grinding jar is made I could see how food could get stuck in the center chamber where the spindle fits, and it doesn’t seem to be designed to take apart. There’s a little spot near the top where something happened in the molding of the plastic, it formed a brittle spot the size of a large mole. I haven’t had it long so it will take time to give a complete review. Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality of product for this price.
quiet, great value. I am writing this review after only testing the device to make sure it worked, so I might update my review at a later date once I’ve had a chance to use it more. I loved how quiet it sounded right off the bat.. When I tested it, the cover was very difficult to snap into place. I needed to take it off and on again several times to loosen it up, and I’m hoping with more use, it will loosen up just a bit more. The user’s manual is a joke however, translated from someone in China. There are minimal instructions for how to operate it. The “User Manual” states, “Fix the chopper blade into bowl. Cut the meat into suitable pieces .. Install the bowl on the unit base, turn on BY clockwise and lock it…. If the food makes the machine shake, please stop …. and separate the food EQUALITY”. You simply have to figure it out on your own – but it’s a simple design and easy to figure out. I am assuming you can go online to get better information.
It wouldn’t turn on. I returned it. Wouldn’t recommend. Edited again, because Amazon said they refunded my money. THEY DID NOT. They issued a gift card for the amount. I use Amazon frequently enough that I will use the gift card, but AMAZON: don’t day you are issuing a refund if you are just giving merchandise credit.Edited to say: I set the processor up, made sure everything was lined up properly and tried to use it, but it never turned on. Amazon made the return process easy. A UPS person was at our door the very next day to pick up the box. But if you read my first paragraph, you will see a complaint that Amazon said they were refunding the money (i.e. giving my money back) when in reality, they gave me a gift card for the amount.I haven’t tried this food processor, but I read the instructions. They were clearly not written by an English speaking person because they are hard to figure out. I tried customer service chat to ask how to get my free gift that was advertised in packaging, to ask how to remove the plastic safety covering for the blade, and the only response I got was a link to register the product, which I had already done.I am also concerned about the instruction to use the machine for only 1 minute, then let it rest for 1 minute. This will make every job take twice as long.I will try out the processor. If it turns out it works great and it’s just the instructions that are confusing, I will change my star rating. If it needs to be turned off every minute and left to rest, I will be returning it.
LOVE MY NUTRICHEF FOOD PROCESSOR. I ordered the Nutrichef Food Processor for its 600 wattage, and attachments. I was impressed with the turning knobs, instead of push buttons. It’s also easy to use. I really like the design. I ordered the red…however it’s more of a orange-red. Not an issue, it’s still very pretty. I’ve used mine 4 times so far, it’s nice, and powerful. It’s loud during usage, but then again…not an issue. I like it sooo much, I ordered another one in blue, for a Mother’s Day present. However, the plastic mixing unit on that one, had 3 cracks at the base. That’s being returned, and I re-ordered another one. Aside from the second one being cracked upon arrival, I honestly can’t say anything negative about Nutrichef. I’m happy with my new kitchen toy!!
Easy to use and clean. No dislikes, use it for chopping food for my family.
Very good food processor. Excellent and it has a lot of functions. Good purchase!
Es un equipo con buenos acabados, pero desafortunadamente no funciono y lo tuve que devolver. Así que agradezco me resolvieran dándome el rembolso de esta comprá.
My Nutrichef multifunction food processor arrived today. I tested out the product and several of the attachments. I made dough as well which is a tough job and It worked great. It had enough power and was quiet as advertised. When I first opened the product it looked smaller than I expected, but it holds 2l with room to spare which will meet the needs of most uses easily. The plastic is of good thickness and the spindlles and attachments look like they will last. Best of all it is easy to use. No complicated order to make it run. Just place in the bowl and lid until it you hear the click and you are ready to go. I have had a few different food processors in the past. All broke doing easy chores with very little use. So far I am very impressed with this unit. Glad I purchased it.
The Nutrichef food processor, I bought the blue one, is very pretty! I like the size, it is big enough to do a decent amount of processing but doesn’t take up too much space. I purchased this processer because of the great price and the ability to vary the speed. My old Braun could go very slowly, up to very fast. The variation in speed is not as great with this machine. I find it goes from fast to very fast, but I still appreciate the ability to chose more speeds than just two. I don’t find it any quieter than my Braun, I figure it makes as much noise as a food processor normally makes, but I have only had two.
Me encanto. le cabe mucho y poco. Viene con un acesorio para amasar masa. Lo recomiendo.
I haven’t used it yet for meat or heavy ingredients but it looks good . And it doesn’t feel cheap made . I check it but putting some random ingredients and it was quiet as I wanted it to be. Hopefully I ll use it more often as my previous one was a headache to use just because it was too noisy to use

This machine is highly sturdy for mixing and kneading dough due to its compact size, intelligent design, and silicone feet on the bottom.

This machine will have your dough ready in minutes, whether you are making pasta, pizza, or bread.

It is also simple to clean, though we recommend purchasing a bristle cleaning brush for safety and efficiency, and you can use the machine to prepare the rest of your meal while the dough is rising or baking. This food processor enables the preparation of complete meals in mere minutes.

Even though the electronic overload protection may be an attractive feature of this machine, it can and will still overheat if you work it too hard. Please do not rely on technology to defend itself.

When making a large batch of dough, if the motor is running too hard or the machine is overheating, manually stop the machine and give it a short break. As with other product drawbacks, we believe this is a small price for the overall functionality and usability.

Key Features
  • 600 watts
  • Quiet Powerful Motor
  • Pre-set Speed Function
  • Energy Efficient with Low Power Consumption
  • Includes 6 Attachment Blades: Slicer/Shredder Blade Disc, Masher Blade Disc, Chopper
  • Silicone rubber bottom suctions to hold strong on countertops while in use

8. Hamilton Beach Professional Stack & Snap Food Processor

Hamilton Beach Professional Stack & Snap Food Processor & Veggie Spiralizer for Slicing, Shredding and Kneading, Extra-Large 3" Feed Chute Fits Whole Vegetables, 12 Cups, Stainless Steel (70815)

Impressing food processor. First I don’t need to take a picture of my unit, it looks just like the online photos. Second, I purchased a Hamilton Beach food processor that was around 40.00. It failed, the inner slicer blade broke, very dangerous and I since worked through my warranty with Square Trade to get it replaced and I also worked with Target, neither helped me. I had to go direct to Hamilton Beach. Anyway long story short, I opted to buy this one as the design for the slider blade was different, it was given the title to be “Professional” as well, but was three times as much money. So, I dug into my pockets and purchased this direct with the warranty department direct with Hamilton Beach (Who by the way took very good care of me and they stood behind their other product that failed). My review of this one:I am very impressed. I love the ease of use and the very large bowl. My biggest use has been spiralizing zucchini, which works great and super easy. The clean up is a breeze. A few spots where food gets caught in the blade device and the lid, but nothing like the other one and I simply use a brush, they even provide a brush in the box to use. The unit itself seems substantial and rugged. The plastic is maybe a little more stout than the cheaper model. I love the pusher tool, it is large and holds nicely in the hand, it even has a metal gripper at the bottom to hold onto the food item. I have been using it more than the other one simple because it is easier to clean and that really helps. Don’t get me wrong, there are pieces to clean, it is not just a knife that you are cleaning…. so I understand that it has multiple parts and just do it. I find that cleaning it just takes less time, not sure why but it does. I like the storage case they give and no, it does not fit all pieces, so keep that in mind. I have not used all parts yet, I have a Kitchen Aid blender so kneeding dough I would most likely use that. The sound it makes is loud, but I don’t seem to mind it. Very few settings that adds to its ease of use and less things to deal with. I mainly use the pulse button. I have had it now in use for about a month and so far I really like it and yes, I would recommend it. I also purchased the Hamilton Beach Juice Masticator and that is probably the BEST appliance I have in my kitchen to date, I freakin love it. So far for the price I rate HB very high for their higher priced units that are made better than their lower end models. If you use these kitchen tools a lot, I say don’t go for the cheaper ones, they will not last or their details are perhaps not as good as the better models, at least on these. I think Hamilton Beach has done a good job on these better models.
Great Machine. I was not the one that ordered this machine. My mother and family friend did. They gifted this machine to me, as I was starting to process my garden down for the summer and they saw that it was taking too long for me. Once I got the machine in, I used it right away as I had veggies stacking up. This machine, took the “hard” work out of cutting and chopping. It was a great gift at the right time. I love how everything stacks inside the container and only one blade stays within the machine. The only thing that I wish it would have – somewhere – either on the side (inside or out) is that it shows you how to stack the blades. Meaning, which blades go first and so on. It can be confusing when trying to put things in. But that would NOT make me want to buy another one.
Package appeared to be a repackaging attempt and other issues. When ordering this food processor, I was offered a Microsoft Edge discount of about 25% which was in theory a good option. When I received the package, it appeared that the item had been repackaged though not with care. Though concerning, not something I would return the item for. When unpackaging the product it appears all the mechanical items were there. However, the instructions were NOT in the packaging. That was again OK as I could get them from the manufacturer. I also noticed that the item storage unit had a broken locating pin. I will glue it back in place. On a positive note, the reason I purchased this unit is that I wanted an easy assembly of the unit. Previous food processors required turning the container to lock it in place for both container and the lid. Once run, it was difficult sometimes to unlock the lid and container. This unit sits on top, the lid is then placed and then the whole unit is secured into place with a metal bar that is slid across the lid.
Good quality. Easy to use and clean- works as expected
Easy to use. I bought this to chop cabbage for making sauerkraut. The course side of the plane shredded too fine for cabbage but it’s ok. I also used it to pulse onions and bell peppers for stewed tomatoes. It worked great. It has great power and easy to clean. I love how easy it is to lock the lid in place.
It gets the job done extremely well. Extremely pleased with it. The only downside I can proffer on this is storing the multiple attachments can be a little bit of a jigsaw puzzle, but well worth it 👌 👍 😉.
. Worked like a charm and I love that there is a storage container for the attachments
I LOVE this Machine. I can’t say enough good things about this beast. It’ll do about anything you want and made canning so much easier for me this year. If your looking and confused about all the processors out there. Let me save you some time. Just try this one out. I’m glad I did!
bought to spiral was perfect
When we purchased it it was somehow used when we DID NOT get it used plus it was actually broken like a whole plastic piece was broken 🙁

In the category of kitchen appliances, Hamilton Beach is a formidable competitor. Although this food processor is neither the most unique nor the most unique on our list, its 5-year warranty is impressive.

Finding a machine that will function well for at least five years is uncommon, so it is reassuring to know that the manufacturer stands firmly behind its product. You should be OK with this model if you do not require a food processor that meets commercial standards.

This model is among the largest and heaviest on our list. This machine is handy if you have a large counter with ample space and will not need to move your food processor frequently.

Because it weighs more than 15 pounds, you may have to incorporate it into your exercise regimen if you move it frequently.

Key Features
  • Dice cubes, slice thick to thin, shred, knead, chop, mix and puree.
  • Easy Stack and Snap assembly with no difficult twisting.
  • Heavy-duty construction.
  • Includes 5 attachments and storage case.
  • 14 cup, BPA-free bowl with pour spout and leak-free seal.
  • High liquid capacity – up to 8 cups.
  • Dishwasher safe blades, bowl, and lid.
  • Function guide eliminates guesswork.
  • Easy-clean touchpad controls with LED indicator

9. Hamilton Beach Food Processor

Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper for Slicing, Shredding, Mincing, and Puree, 10 Cups – Bowl Scraper, Stainless Steel

User reviews

Works great. I researched several food processors and read many reviews before purchasing this food processor. This one is perfect for my kitchen because it has a large bowl, lots of power, suction cups on the bottom to keep the machine from dancing around the countertop, easy to clean, has a bowl scraper(which initially I was indifferent to but am glad it came with it) and works great getting the job done quickly!
Can’t really go wrong for under 50 bucks. This unit is replacing a 10(ish)-year old Hamilton Beach food processor that I had a love/hate relationship with. Finally, enough parts wore out on it that I could justify buying a new one (even though, realistically, it was still working). I wasn’t stuck on the Hamilton Beach name, but this happened to fit my needs and my wallet.I can’t say the unit feels particularly high quality. In fact, when I first took it out of the box, my initial thoughts were that they somehow forgot to put a motor in it. The base of my old one weighed like 5 lbs and this entire setup is a fraction of that. That is likely the reason the quality feels lacking. The switch in particular feels only ok, but for $50, I don’t really have room to complain.Strangely enough, I rarely use it for food. Instead, we use it to grind up soft dog treats into powder to sprinkle over dry dog food to make it more enticing. Enticing, to the dogs, not to us. It tackles this chore with ease. I’ve used it for making hummus and slicing up onions, and it handled both of those jobs like a true champ. The stated capacity is 10 cups, but as is the case with almost all food processors, that is only for dry goods. The liquid capacity is 2 cups, if you go by the line marked on the bowl. I filled the bowl up with water until it was spilling out of the hole in the middle, and it held 6 cups. So figure it’ll easily do 4 liquid cups without spilling down the center shaft, since liquids are thrown outward when the blades are spinning. However, the top is not hermetically sealed to the bowl, so some liquids might dribble out down the sides on high speed if you push past the rated liquid capacity.Honestly, I don’t know how so much power and speed comes from such a lightweight device. The motor noise is not horrendous, but I’ve only had one other food processor to compare it to. It is probably a little quieter than the old one, which is not to say that it is silent. The noise is more of a high speed whirring sound than the throaty growl of the one I retired. It’s almost a hollow sound, which again, does not instill a lot of confidence in the quality. Perhaps I’m just partial to heavy tools. Performance-wise, I can’t think of anything negative to say. The base even has suction cup feet on the bottom to keep it from jumping around the counter. The food scraper is a gimmick, right? I had already made up my mind to never use such an obviously far-reaching add-on before ever taking it out of the box. Then I tried it once. Honestly, I don’t think it has been separated since. It doesn’t scrape down below the height of the blades, but it does clean all that loose stuff off the sides fairly well. The scraper is just made of plastic, but it is well-designed and effective. I now have to wonder why this feature took so long to evolve. :)UPDATE: Over 2 years later and still going strong. We don’t chop as many dog treats with it as we used to. The dogs are old and we have resorted to giving them grilled chicken breast, which we can only chop in small batches or it goes bad. So we use a small chopper. But I have absolutely no complaints about the performance or effectiveness of this product to date.UPDATE: Over 10 years later and still alive. Who even updates a review after 10 years? The food scraper broke a few years back, so that’s long gone. The pusher thing has a crack in it, but I’m sure the culprit was one too many drops on the tile floor and not a design flaw. The rest of it is intact and still runs great. It’s crazy that I doubted the quality of this appliance, and it ended up outlasting the original.
Easy to Use and Powerful. I had a very expensive Cuisinart processor that frustrated me every time I tried to use it. It was much too heavy and hard to carry. The lid and chute were difficult to line up.I purchased the Hamilton Beach and used it today. It was so easy to use, powerful and fast, easy to assemble, and the spiralizer worked flawlessly. I’m so pleased. Today I made shredded cabbage for Cole slaw, zucchini spirals, and used the chopper blade to make fresh salsa. You can’t go wrong with this processor, but reading the manual first is a must to ensure proper use of the attachments.Thank you Hamilton Beach—I’m in love with it and can now toss a lot of unused implements in my pantry because this processor does it all!!!!
Great product. Works well, feeding hole is decent size, good sharp blades. Cleans easy. it is quite loud and I with there were buttons for pulse instead of a dial but overall, great product.
Great multi-task appliance. Powerful motor – replaced my old food processor and my spiralizer. I read some negative comments about the noise – no problem here. Easy to clean. Good value – I caught this appliance on sale.
Good Service and awesome product. It came broken the top cover, made the return and the same day was shipped, really good customer service. The new one came fine and works great. Really a good deal.
Couldn’t be happier. I am surprised and super happy with this blender. Using it now for almost a year. The combination of price and functionality is perfect. It is lightweight but has very strong sockets at the bottom, preventing the blender from moving. Crazy powerful blending capacity. For my quite basic needs, it’s perfect.
Great processor and NOT too loud! Love the scraper feature. I finally got rid of my ancient processor and bought this one. Love the scrap tool which is featured. Although the scraper doesn’t reach to the bottom, it does help get food off the sides and saves me from having to stop and take the top off to scrap. Works great. AND the sound is not too loud. All of them make a relatively loud sound but it is not overly obnoxious. I’m glad I made this purchase!
The Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen! Whether I’m slicing, shredding, or mincing, this appliance handles it all with ease. The multiple attachments make food preparation a breeze, saving me valuable time and effort in the kitchen. I love how quickly and uniformly it processes ingredients, allowing me to whip up delicious meals in no time. Plus, the compact design means it doesn’t take up much counter space. Overall, I highly recommend this food processor to anyone looking to streamline their cooking process—it’s a game-changer!
Tiene muy buen funcionamiento cumple con mis necesidades
Well made , suction cups stick to counter , very strong ,doesn’t move. Works great for shredding cheese . Have not tried other attachments but I’m sure they work just as great . Glad I purchased this one as I researched many . Love it !
Excelentes materiales y practico, pica rápido, ideal para amas de casa
Here is the lowdown, the blender worked perfectly for three weeks without any issues. Although each time i went for a bowl of hummus or guacamole i would smell the burning of wires. I was told this is common off Hamilton products! After three weeks the kitchen reeked of burnt and suddenly just stopped working. I contacted the seller who said that less than 6 months and the product is out of warranty. So i took the piece to a local electrician who said the wires burned off. After repairing it, again the kitchen started reeking and the piece went silent on me. I took it again to the electrician who said another part went bad and handed it back too me. I spun it 1 more time and boom it went silent on me.

10. Cuisinart DLC-10SYP1 Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor

Cuisinart DLC-10SYP1 Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor Custom, 10, White

Running Review: Very High Build Quality. First impressions of the machine are quite positive and I’ll focus mostly on the build quality.Build:Well into the realm of “I didn’t think they built stuff like this anymore.” Very high quality injection molding throughout. The motor is well balanced: very quiet in operation compared to other food processors i’ve used and very little vibration noted. You can see forging and work hardening lines in the stainless steel attachments. No signs of warping in the lexan. Very good loose interference fit at the feed tube plungers. Overall the industrial design and workmanship of this unit is on par with Zojirushi appliances or Kitchen-Aid mixers.Ergonomics:I like simple food processors. This one is simple in operation. On and off/pulse with high leverage switches. Perfect. The locking mechanisms work well so far without needless faffing. I wish the smaller feed tube was a little larger. The larger feed tube disengages the motor so operations like adding tahini or other messier items slowly have a higher chance of spillage or require a spouted container. I’m suspicious about how easy it will be to trap gunk around the locking mechanisms. I’m also suspicious that there isn’t any sort of loading mechanism to keep the chopping blade in place.Ease of cleaning: The manual recommends washing all pieces in the dishwasher. I don’t have a newer dishwasher with neat little compartments to keep blades from being knocked around so the chopping blade will get hand washed. I’ll update the review to assess how the lexan holds up from several months of dishwashing. I’m not a fan of the stainless steel fascia the machine has since I’d rather have white plastic appliances for their ease of cleaning and smaller visual weight.Power and results: The first thing I made in this machine was a large batch of hummus. Outstanding power and very quiet. The results were extremely smooth. I think I’ll be able to knead dough or make a fine pesto just fine. I’ll update on milling uniformity, grating, and slicing when I try those.
This is the one to get. I am now using my food processor all the time. This one does an excellent job and is so easy to use. It is heavy and well-built. It’s well worth the money.
Fantastic Product. Great investment!!! You can’t beat this food processor! It work very well, cleans up well, it’s easy to use. This is a good processor for long term use! I don’t think you can find a better one. Well worth the price!
Yes, You’re Actually Gonna Use This. A LOT. “Oh, I don’t need a food processor. I love to chop things by hand! And really, my cheap, tiny blender does just about any job a food processor could do. It’s not worth the money!” This has been my mantra for years.Oh, what a fool I was. What a fool!A food processor is such a magical device. You can do things with it that are impossible to do without it!Have you heard of cashew cream sauce? It’s fabulous. You soak about two cups of cashews in water for 2 hours, drain and rinse them well, and then toss them in your food processor with a clove or two of peeled garlic, about 2/3 cup of water, and about a teaspoon or so of salt, to taste. Press the power on, and in seconds, you have smooth-bodied, flavourful dip that is extremely versatile. From there, it’s all up to your imagination! Add some nutritional yeast to make it taste nice and cheesy, with just a pinch of paprika to bring out those cheesy notes, and serve it with tortilla chips. Or how about a bit of curry powder and some basil to serve with pita chips as a sweet, curry-style dip? Or perhaps you’ll use some herbs and pour it over pasta, for a new twist on “lazy pasta night”?Maybe you’re no fan of that idea. Well then, how about making pesto right in your own home? Those tiny bottles in the grocery are never as good as the stuff as you can get in a nice restaurant, and they can be damned pricey for such mediocre flavour. Make it yourself, and be amazed!Or what about hummus? You can use a method by Kenji Lopez-Alt over at SeriousEats to make tahini sauce with garlic and lemon that makes for a FANTASTIC base for the best hummus of your life (made with, I suggest, the best on the market, and available also here on Amazon:  Soom Foods Pure Ground Sesame Tahini 11oz (2 Pack) )! Sabra has got NOTHING on homemade hummus. There’s also the sheer joy of buying nuts in bulk, knowing that you’re saving quite a bit of money tossing them into your food processor to get chopped rather than buying them pre-chopped. Or you can quickly chop toppings for a salad. There’s a lot of chopping this thing can handle that you might not care to handle yourself!Or, how about this: the best homemade ice cream you’ve ever had? It’s simple; make your custard-style base (I recommend Jeni Britton Bauer’s method, Google it or pick up her book here:  Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home ), freeze it overnight in a big gallon freezer bag laid out flat, and the next day, break it into pieces to throw into your food processor. Then you can whip it to a gorgeous creamy state, add in some flavourings, pour into an ice cream container, and freeze; voila! The best homemade ice cream you’ve EVER had – guaranteed better than storebought, that’s for sure, and a lot healthier, since you’re in total control of what goes in it. :)And I’m sure before I even began to write this review, you had your own ideas. Nut butters? Certainly! How about dough? It can do it! Grating cheese? Well, I prefer an old-fashioned box grater, but if you’re tired of washing that ol’ beast, absolutely, go for one of these! There’s just so many wonderful things you can do with this gorgeous machine; and it’s outrageously simple to handle. I’ve seen a great many food processors in family homes; they’re awkward, they’re cumbersome, and they’re very noisy. This isn’t whisper-silent, but I can safely use it all hours of the night without losing a finger or waking my sleeping household. Now, I must confess I’ve had precisely one point of frustration with it since I bought it: I opened it up, threw in an ingredient, put the top back on, hit the “ON” button, and.. nothing. I was dumbfounded. Why isn’t this brand new machine working?Turns out, it was a safety feature! I hadn’t secured the top, so it didn’t come on. And thank goodness! I would’ve had a big mess on my hands. Knowing that it will simply not turn on if I don’t have the top fastened on correctly is a comfort to me; I can get to work and not worry about double-checking that I’ve put everything back in place just so, and I can trust little ones to put things into it without worrying that they’ll get over-excited to turn it on and send ingredients flying around my kitchen! And it’s so simple to put together and take apart once you take a few minutes to handle it first-hand.This is a wonderful machine to aid the home cook, and I believe if you’ve made it this far in my review, you know I’m right. You deserve this. It’ll take a special position in your kitchen, just like a KitchenAid; in fact, a KitchenAid and this food processor have a constant presence on my countertop. If you love to cook, and you love to explore new techniques and recipes, then I beg of you; do yourself a big favour and get this today!

Best Food Processor For Dough – FAQs

There is no definitive answer to this question, as different people have different opinions on what makes the best food processor for dough. However, some of the most popular models for this purpose include the Breville Sous Chef 12-Cup Food Processor and the Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor.

When choosing a food processor for dough, it is important to consider its capacity, as you will want to make sure it can accommodate the amount of dough you plan to make. Other features to look for include how easy it is to clean, whether it has a pulse setting for dough, and how well it chops and mixes ingredients.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the method for making dough in a food processor will vary depending on the recipe you are using. However, most recipes will require you to add the wet ingredients to the food processor first, followed by the dry ingredients. Once the dough has formed, you can then process it for the desired amount of time.

When using a food processor to make dough, it is important to add the ingredients in the order specified by the recipe, as this will ensure that they are properly mixed. It is also important to not over-process the dough, as this can result in tough or dry dough.

If you are having trouble getting the dough to form, you can add more liquid a little at a time until it comes together. Finally, make sure to let the dough rest for the specified amount of time before shaping or baking it, as this will help it to reach its full potential.

There are a few things to consider when choosing a food processor for dough.

Firstly, think about the type of dough you’ll be using most often – bread dough, pizza dough, or pastry dough.

Then, consider the capacity you’ll need – a small food processor might be fine for a single loaf of bread, but you’ll need a larger model for larger batches.

Finally, look at the features offered by each model and decide which are most important to you. For example, if you need a food processor with a dough attachment, make sure to choose one that has one.

There are several benefits to using a food processor for dough.

First, a food processor can save you time and effort. It will mix and knead the dough for you, so you do not have to do it by hand.

Second, a food processor can produce a more consistent dough than you would be able to achieve by hand.

And finally, a food processor can make light work of tasks that would be difficult or impossible to do by hand, such as rolling out dough or cutting it into shapes.

There are a few potential disadvantages to using a food processor for dough. First, they can be more expensive than other methods of dough preparation, such as kneading by hand.

Second, you may need to experiment with the settings on your food processor to get the best results. And finally, if you are not careful, a food processor can overwork the dough and make it tough.

Caring for your food processor is easy. Be sure to read the manual that came with your machine so that you know how to thoroughly clean and maintain it. In general, you will want to wash the bowl and attachments after each use. You should also oil the moving parts on a regular basis to keep them from rusting or becoming corroded.

Most food processors can be used for dough, but as mentioned above, some are better suited for it than others. If you plan on using your food processor primarily for making dough, it is worth investing in one that is specifically designed for this purpose.

If your food processor can’t handle the dough, you may need to use a different appliance or mixer. Alternatively, you can try breaking the dough into smaller pieces so that it fits into your food processor’s bowl.

One way to prevent the dough from sticking is to coat the bowl and/or blades with a little vegetable oil or cooking spray before adding the dough. You can also use a dough scraper to help scrape the dough off the sides of the bowl.

A food processor is the best tool for making dough because it quickly and easily mixes the ingredients together. The dough can also be kneaded in the food processor, which results in a smoother texture.

You can make up to 1 pound of dough in a food processor. If you want to make more dough, you will need to divide it into two batches.

Kneading dough by hand can be time-consuming and tiring. Kneading dough in a food processor is quicker and easier, and results in a smoother texture.

Now that we have covered all the important points of using a food processor for dough, let’s sum up what we learned.

A food processor is a great tool to use for making dough because it is easy to use, and it helps to save time. You can make a variety of different types of dough in a food processor, including bread dough, pizza dough, and pastry dough.

When using a food processor to make dough, it is important to add the ingredients in the order that they are listed in the recipe. You should also be careful not to overmix the dough, as this can result in tough or dry dough.

Once you have made your dough in the food processor, you will need to transfer it to a baking pan or a pizza stone. You can then bake the dough in the oven until it is cooked through.

Thanks for reading! Now that you know how to use a food processor for making dough, go ahead and try it out for yourself. You will be surprised at how easy it is to make delicious dough using this handy kitchen appliance.
