Best Long Slot Toaster That Will Make Breakfast a Breeze

A toaster is an appliance that is used to heat bread, buns, and other pastries. The purpose of a toaster is to brown the top and bottom of the bread or pastry by heating it with radiant heat. There are different types of toasters on the market, including pop-up toasters, conveyor belt toasters, and long slot toasters.

A long slot toaster is a type of toaster that has a longer than average slot width. This allows you to toast thicker items such as bagels and English muffins without having to cut them in half. Long slot toasters also come with wider slots, which makes it easier to remove smaller items like crumpets and waffles without them becoming stuck.

If you are looking for a toaster that can handle thicker items, then a long slot toaster is the right choice for you. Make sure to compare the different models available and choose the one that best suits your needs.

Our Top Picks

What Is Long Slot Toaster?

A long slot toaster is a toaster that has a longer slot than a regular toaster. This allows for larger items, such as bagels, English muffins, and croissants, to fit in the toaster. The slots on a long slot toaster are also wider than those on a regular toaster, which makes it easier to get the food out of the toaster.

Most long slot toasters have extra features, such as defrosting and reheating settings, that allow you to toast or heat up food quickly and easily. They also come with crumb trays that help keep your kitchen clean. Some long slot toasters even have extra-wide slots that can accommodate two slices of bread at the same time.

If you’re looking for a toaster that can handle larger items, or if you want a toaster with extra features, then a long slot toaster is the perfect choice for you.

Differences Between A Long Slot Toaster And A Regular Toaster

When it comes to toasters, there are two main types: long slot and regular. Both have their own unique benefits and drawbacks, which is why it’s important to know the difference between them before you make a purchase.

A regular toaster has two slots for bread, while a long slot toaster has one elongated slot that can accommodate thicker slices of bread. This is a great feature for those who like to toast bagels, English muffins, or thicker pieces of bread. A regular toaster typically costs less than a long slot toaster and is smaller in size.

However, the small size can also be a drawback – it can be difficult to fit larger items into a regular toaster. In addition, the two slots can mean that you must wait longer for your toast to be ready if you’re making multiple slices at once.

A long slot toaster is larger in size than a regular toaster, but it can accommodate thicker slices of bread without having to cut them into smaller pieces. This makes it an excellent choice for those who like to toast big items like bagels or English muffins. Long slot toasters also have a wider range of features, such as defrosting and reheating modes.

The downside of a long slot toaster is that they typically cost more than regular toasters. They also take up more counter space, which can be a problem if you do not have a lot of room in your kitchen.

So, which toaster is right for you? If you’re someone who likes to toast big items or if you want more features, then a long slot toaster is the better option. If you are looking for a budget-friendly option or if you do not have much counter space, then a regular toaster is the way to go.

How Does Long Slot Toaster Work?

The long slot toaster is a toaster that has a longer slot than a traditional toaster. This allows you to toast larger items, such as bagels or English muffins. The long slot toaster also has a wider range of toasting settings, so you can customize the toasting level for whatever you are cooking.

The long slot toaster works by heating up the coils at the bottom of the toaster. These coils heat up and create a flame that cooks the bread. The amount of time that the bread is toasted depends on the setting that you have chosen. Some people like their toast to be very brown, while others prefer it to be more lightly toasted.

If you are using a long slot toaster for the first time, it is important to read the instructions carefully. Each toaster has its own set of instructions, and you need to make sure that you are using the toaster correctly. Otherwise, you could end up with burnt toast or an oven that is on fire.

When you are finished using your long slot toaster, be sure to unplug it and let it cool down before you store it. This will help prevent any accidents from happening.

How To Use Long Slot Toaster

A long slot toaster is a type of toaster that has a longer slot than a traditional toaster. This makes it ideal for toasting large items, such as bagels or slices of bread. Here are a few tips on how to use a long slot toaster:

  1. Make sure that the toaster is properly plugged into an outlet and turned on.
  2. Place the item you want to toast into the long slot.
  3. Close the top of the toaster.
  4. Check the progress of the toast periodically by looking at the light on the front of the toaster. When it turns from red to green, the toast is done.
  5. Remove the toast from the toaster by opening the top and using the ejector levers.
  6. Enjoy your toast!

Tips On Using Long Slot Toaster

If you’re looking for a toaster that can accommodate large slices of bread, then a long slot toaster is the perfect option. These toasters have slots that are wider than traditional toasters, making them ideal for bigger pieces of bread.

Here are a few tips for using a long slot toaster:

  1. Make sure to read the manufacturer’s instructions before use. Each toaster is different and may have specific instructions on how to use it.
  2. Always use caution when inserting or removing bread from the toaster. The slots get hot and could cause burns if touched accidentally.
  3. Be careful not to overload the toaster. If you try to put too much bread in at once, it may not cook evenly and could end up being burnt.
  4. Always unplug the toaster when not in use. These appliances can be dangerous if plugged in.
  5. Be careful not to touch the hot surfaces of the toaster when it is in use. Wait until the toaster has cooled down before you unplug it or move it.

With these tips in mind, using a long slot toaster should be a breeze! Enjoy your perfectly toasted bread slices!

Benefits Of Using Long Slot Toaster

What are the benefits of using a long slot toaster? There are several benefits to using a long slot toaster over a traditional toaster. A few of those benefits include:

  • More space: A long slot toaster takes up less counter space than a traditional toaster. This is because the long slots allow you to toast larger items, like bread or bagels, without having to cut them into smaller pieces.
  • More control: With a long slot toaster, you have more control over the level of browning that your food receives. This is because you can place food farther away from the heat source, if necessary.
  • Better toast: A long slot toaster produces better-toasted food than a traditional toaster. The slots are wider, which allows for more even toasting.

There are several other benefits to using a long slot toaster, such as the fact that they are typically easier to clean than traditional toasters. If you are looking for a better way to toast your food, then a long slot toaster is the perfect appliance for you.

The best toaster I have ever owned. This Breville goes back to the simple elegant expectation I hold dear in a toaster: toast my bread evenly and consistently. You would think that this is an easy thing to do with all our technology but to be honest, I’ve tested many toasters over the past three decades and the expensive ones seems to work no better than the cheap ones. My expectation is how well the bread is toasted, how enemy its toasted from top to bottom, left to right and how each slice toasts the same as its mate. Then I expect that the toaster will toast the bread exactly the same way every single time, for years. This is somethings that I just have not been able to previously find in a toaster,, although I once got close with one toaster which toasted my bread quite evenly but it fell apart prematurely so it too let me down. This Breville is rather expensive, an its controls are simple but my tis is what it down with the bread and this machine really toasts my bread as perfectly as I want it. All the slices are evenly tasted every time, the two slices match each other every time and each day when we go back to do more toasting all the slices come out even, just as expected. This is what I want and for once, this Greville delivers. Since the basic function of being a toaster is so well delivered, I now look at the features of this unit (because it it didn’t toast well, then I don’t care about any fancy functions since they can’t improve my past), which includes an Led display that visually indicates how much times is left to the toast process (more useful than it seems because we a tryoically cooking something else att he same time), the Lifet N Look feature which gives you a peek at the toast for a second or so (by raising it up then pulling it back down) is brilliant and should be required in all toasters. Its simple yet obviously useful the very first time you use it and can see exactly how your toast is doing. The next feature, called “Just A Bit More” adds a little time to the toast process if the toast is underdone. this is fantastic for the first time you a toasting a new bread (since you simply don’t know what setting you will need to set to for), its brilliant and works perfectly well. The Bagel feature can be found in other toasters but I’m happy to see that its toasts the inside (cut side) of the Bagel more than the outside, which is exactly how the Bagel shops so it and is how I like it.The lovely cast metal exterior stays cool and feels vey thick and sturdy, it feels expensive unlike most toasters that have think sheet metal sides that feel flimsy. I don’t know if its aluminum or stainless steel but it looks good and feels like its built to last a lifetime.I like the long slots which will accommodate artisan bread (the only bread we now eat, in addition to bagels) so normal toasters just don’t work for us. This has been a great toaster for us so far and I look forward to updating my review years from now to report back on how well it holds up in the long term.
After Two Years, Still Perfect Every Time (Well, 99.99% Of The Time). With respect to the negative reviews, our Breville Die Cast Four-Slot Smart Toaster has been, by far, the best toaster we’ve ever had. Purchased in November, 2018, it has performed brilliantly and (almost*) flawlessly for over two years (Dec. 12, 2020 now) and has justified the high purchase price. It’s not just the reliability (which, it must be said, should be a given for almost any appliance only two years old) of course, but it also really does a great job toasting everything we’ve tried. Bagels are particularly well-handled, with the machine producing them to suit everyone’s individual preferences. But everything from thick breads to (shudder) Pop-Tarts come out perfectly. The Breville is also very consistent. It makes everything today as it did two years ago, as dictated by user preferences. This is no small thing, as it’s easy to waste food and time with under and, especially, over-cooked meals. And it makes trying new kinds of food or new brands relatively painless thanks to the “bit more” feature, which allows you to hone in on your preferred level of crispness, heat or consistency “at the touch of a button” as they say.And speaking of which, probably the best feature of this great toaster is the motorized lower/lift mechanism. It works silently, smoothly, and seems well integrated with the sensors so as allow for much more consistent and thorough results. You press the button and let the Breville do the rest. When it’s done, it lifts your food with a non-intrusive little “peep” notification.*Now for that qualifier. On one occasion, about three months after purchase, the Breville, for lack of a more precise term, froze up. The lift/lower mechanism would not budge. “Uh Oh” I thought “Here we go.” I assumed this was just what our fellow Amazon members had tried to warn about. But for whatever reason, it didn’t turn out that way. I treated the problem as with a frozen computer. I unplugged the toaster, waited in case it has any capacitors etc. that require discharge time (admittedly more important when repairing microwaves than rebooting toasters, but…) and plugged it back in. This was, apparently, all it required, and it happily chirped its return to service. The problem has never re-occurred. This is NOT to assume or imply that this approach would fix the problem for everyone. Clearly, it does not, and Breville, if it hasn’t already, needs to address this head on, both at the manufacturing AND customer service levels. If you pay ~ $200 for a toaster, it should work for you until your ready to pass it down to your grandchildren (okay, that’s probably asking too much). Certainly, you should not be faced with a useless machine for many years, and I sympathize with everyone who has been been confronted by their beautiful toaster turning into a useless brick. For over two years, though, our Breville has been exceptional in every way. When and if that changes, or if it soldiers on for two or more years, I’ll be back for an update.
Breville BTA830XL toaster. Almost an electro-industrial work of art, this toaster works better than any other I have used. I had thought of spending even more money on a Dualit four-slice toaster, at around $340. However, having just spent three years in London, I have come across several Dualits and have not been overly impressed. Yes, they look neat in a chrome (and colors, additionally) retro way, but the results and reliability vary widely. When our current toaster expired upon our return to the US, we decided the unpredictability of the Dualit and spotty quality control knocked it out of consideration. In the UK, Breville has a wide offering of products. We have a lot of familiarity with their deep fryers which are truly inexpensive and work flawlessly – as good or better than the French-made Sodir I bought 10 years ago at about 8 times the price. Other Breville products worked without problems.Given this positive experience, we decided to go with this seemingly over-engineered technological extravaganza. We have had it for about four months and it has worked flawlessly. It toasts better than any other machine we have had, and the features all come in handy. Of course, my main concern lies in how long the advanced features will continue to operate properly. However, to date, it has surpassed all expectations and has delighted visitors to the kitchen and the house with its motorized operation and colorful and helpful visual displays. Not cheap (but far less expensive than the problem-plagued Dualit) but more than worth it so far. It cleans up easily, as well, and accommodates all sorts of thicknesses of breads.Well done!
My first one lasted 6 years. It is perfect! It is built solid and looks great. The functions are useful and easy to use.
Breville como en todos sus productos son de excelente calidad!
I am a fussy toast person, I like it just so.I had a nice inexpensive toaster for years and then it started to break down, I still fought with it because of the retractable cord feature that I love. Eventually I had to call it quits. The next one (different toaster) only lasted about 4 months.I never thought I would spend $150.00 on a toaster, so I would call this a purchase born from frustration and in haste. Not a normal thing for me, I am a researcher.I have had the toaster for about a month now ( I can not speak for the longevity yet) and so far I love it. I did read a few reviews good and bad, some of the bad ones did make me feel like I was taking a bit of a chance, but I went for it.First of all the feel and weight of the toaster immediately impressed me. It is definalty heavier and more solid feeling than any other toaster I have held. The operation is so smooth and quiet, its actually quite cool.Reading some of the bad reviews and seeing pictures of uneven toasting, including one that showed a un-toasted stripe down the middle of a long piece of bread had me concerned. So when I first used it I was watching inside, it did look like only one side was going to toast, because the elements on one sided did not seem to be on. However I have toasted quite a number of different bread products and it has all been perfect ( I did over-toast my first piece). Some said it was loud, I really don’t know what kind of super hearing these people have, Life in general must be unbearable for them. The quietness of it is partly what makes it so cool.I love the “lift and look” feature, I was chronically always interrupting the cycle of my old toasters to check the doneness before. What i did notice as far as a watch for, I wouldn’t necessarily call then cons. The outside of the toaster does get fairly warm/hot, not sure if the others did as I never scrutinized my $40.00 toaster. It does definitely have a hotter toasting temp, so start low. Before I first used it, I followed the directions and ran a full time cycle. The radiating heat seemed to hot to keep under the upper cupboards, so I would pull it out. Although unless you are making coals, I am not sure when there would ever be a reason to use that full cycle again. I always store my toaster away when not using it ( hence the love of the retractable cord) So it isn’t under the upper cupboards anyway.I now see how a $150.00 toaster is worth it, as long as it holds out for the long haul, I love it!
Buen producto solo que necesita sacar con mas espacio el pan al terminar de tostarlo, cuesta trabajo sacarlo sin quemarte.
Love this toaster. It goes up and down by itself and toasts perfectly. The check toast button allows you to check your bread or bun and remove if only some is ready. It then returns to where it was toasting. It is a bit heavy but I assume it is because of the mechanism inside.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOASTER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOASTER!!My Cuisinart toaster died after 17 faithful years. Ok, half died. only one side of the bread toasts at all. So I bought a Vremi toaster.. it had almost 5 stars and was very well received. Very cute packaging, sort of blocky, and I could have lived with that, but it toasted really, really badly. I got white or ghost beige toast up to a setting of 5 and if I turned it up to 6 or 7 my toast as very dark. I got such crisp English muffins I almost broke a tooth. It’s going back.In the meantime I went looking for a new toaster and although I’d avoided 4 slice toasters before now, I saw that some 4 slice toasters only had 2 slots! Remember, I haven’t shopped for toasters in 17 years. I’m a rye bread lover and have never been able to toast a whole slice without having to flip the bread. But a WIDE slot toaster???? Maybe I’ll even try out real sourdough bread or a boule, or something of that nature. So after reading the reviews (and it didn’t even have 4 stars), I thought, why not? This toaster is amazing. Yes, it toasts my rye bread beautifully. The high lift feature is great, but I found something that it doesn’t specifically advertise. Not only does it toast bagels, it toasts hamburger buns, so I can have a hamburger with a hot but that isn’t toasted on both sides. Truly awesome. My only regret is that it is so much bigger in terms of counter space than I am used to, that I had to rearrange that corner of the kitchen. I highly, highly recommend this toaster.
Now This is a Quality Toaster. We are very fortunate to have a fresh bakery less than 2 miles from my house and they make a bread called “Old World Bread” that is easily one of the best sandwich breads, or toasting breads, that I have ever come across. I put it right up there with the sourdough bread you can get from really high end deli’s. You can either have it sliced there as they have a machine that slices it in a matter of seconds, or they will give it to you whole and you can slice it at home if that is how you prefer to do it. The problem is, the loafs of bread are much wider overall than your standard store bought loafs of bread so in order to toast it with our previous toaster, you literally had to pop the toaster up halfway through and rotate the bread 180 degrees. Otherwise you would get a piece of bread that was basically like 50-60% toasted and the other 40-50% wouldn’t get toasted. It was just very inconvenient and rarely ever did the bread come out perfectly toasted. So when we decided to buy a new toaster, our biggest priority was a toaster that was large enough to accommodate large slices of bread and this toaster certainly doesn’t disappoint in that regard. The slices of bread we get from the bakery easily fit in this toaster, with room to spare. And if your toasting regular sized bread, you can actually put 2 pieces on each side thus toasting 4 pieces at the same time. Design wise, our Kitchen is largely marble and stainless steel. Both our refrigerator and stove are stainless steel, our Kitchen Aid Blender is the dark grey model, my juicer is stainless steel etc. We even switched over to using the POP containers with the stainless steel lids. So the silver color was just a perfect match for our kitchen design wise. And it does a fantastic job at toasting. It has a small dial right in the middle that allows you to very easily change the toasting time. For the bread we buy at the bakery, the middle setting is absolutely perfect. It has a lift level that allows you to push the toast up far enough to be able to easily grab it without burning yourself on the toaster itself. And one of the most unique aspects of the toaster is the 7 different settings you can use which include Bagel, defrost, reheat, and keep warm. I have never had a toaster in all my years that had a keep warm option. Its great if you get pulled away for some reason while toasting only to come back to find the bread isn’t hot enough to melt butter anymore. You just put the toast on the keep warm option and it will warm it back up for you without toasting it any further than it already is. Thats honestly one of my favorite options with this toaster as what I used to have to do if I got pulled away and didn’t get back to my toast in time is butter the toast and then stick it in the toaster for a few seconds to melt the butter. Thats not a very smart thing to do as you ultimately get butter that drips down into the bottom of the toaster. Well, with this option I no longer have to worry about that sort of thing.Be waned tho, this is not a small toaster so if you don’t have a lot of counter space and your looking for something smaller that will just toast regular grocery store sized bread, this is definitely not the option you want to go with. Its basically 8 inches high x 8 inches deep by 16 inches long. So its not the height or the depth that is a problem if you have a small amount of space, its the length. 16 inches is basically just under a foot and a half long. On the other hand, if your like my family and you buy bread from bakeries that bake loafs that are much larger than your average store bought bread, this toaster will become your favorite toaster of all time. And another really nice feature is it has a cord wrap at the very bottom of the toaster so you don’t have to worry about 3 to 4 feet of cord just lying on your kitchen counter. You can pull out just enough to get it to the socket and keep the rest of the cord hidden underneath the unit. We have now had this toaster for roughly 3 months now and its by far the nicest toaster I have ever owned. At Roughly $80, its definitely a bit more pricey than your average toaster, but then again this is not your average toaster. This is an oversized toaster designed specifically for large slices of bread, even tho you can just as easily use it with smaller pieces of bread.Bottom line, toasting using our old toaster was just a total pain. You had to rotate the toast half way through the toasting cycle or you would wind up with bread that was unevenly toasted, dramatically so depending on just how long you waited to flip the bread around. I can’t tell you how many times I got distracted while toasting and wound up with bread that was literally half toasted and half not toasted. To go from that to this….well, there is just no comparison. I am a big fan of KitchenAid as I think they produce some of the highest quality kitchen appliances on the market. We own a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series Stand Mixer (with most of the pasta attachments), a KitchenAid 5 speed hand blender, a KitchedAid 5 speed hand mixer, a KitchenAid 5 speed pitcher blender, a KitchenAid mini food processor, a KitchenAid coffee grinder, and most of our kitchen gadgets like our ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, can opener, sink brush etc. are all KitchenAid. Even our pasta drying rack is from KitchenAid. I have been using KitchenAid products for well over 20 years and have never been disappointed. This toaster is just the latest edition to our ever growing selection of KicthenAid kitchen products and believe me, if your toasting large bread, this is without question one of the best options on the market. Again, it is a big toaster so you need some space on your counter if your going to go with this model, but if you do have the space it is oh so worth it.As long as KitchenAid continues producing this model, I would rebuy it in a heartbeat if or when our current model goes down. As I have written in many of my other kitchen related reviews, the quality of the items you use to cook with can play a large role in just how much enjoyment you get out of cooking. Having quality measuring cups, quality knives, quality pots and pans, and quality kitchen appliances….well, it really does make cooking all the more enjoyable and in a day and age where people would rather just go out and get something to eat as opposed to cooking home cooked meals themselves, that become far more important than its ever been.If your looking for a quality toaster that can toast large pieces of bread, look no further. This is without question the model you should go with. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and like all of KitchenAid’s other items, they looks really nice on your countertop. KitchenAid products not only work amazingly well, they also help to make you kitchen look really nice when your not cooking. IMO, you really can’t go wrong with KitchenAid and that includes this toaster. I for one couldn’t be happier with the purchase.5 Stars and then some!!!!
Do Not Be Deterred by the Price – This Toaster is Worth It. This 4-slot toaster is beautiful in my kitchen. The sleek design is great for space saving on my counter. I love the quality of KitchenAid products. The toast and bagels have always come out the way we like. I have used all of the settings, including the defrost.
Like every other toaster I have owned or read a. Just tried the toaster today. Like every other toaster I have owned or read a review of, this is no exception. The toast comes out darker on one side than the other. Hence the 4 Star Rating. On the other hand I like the simplicity of this toaster among the following:1-Cancel button placement2-Lift handle3-Only two settings (Bagel and defrost) what else do you need, is just Toast!4-Large opening for Artisan breads.5-Keep warm button (3 min after toast is done)6-It Beeps at cycle end.7-Is just a Nice design that goes with our Mixer’s matched color.I noticed on this toaster and my old one, that the heating elements that are laying FLAT against the material that holds them, do not get as hot (glow red) as the sections that form an arch. These later ones can visibly get hotter (glowing red) than the ones laying flat or close to the holding material. The section with the most flat sections does not toast as much when compared to the side with more arched sections. Check this detail out on your toaster if you are having this issue.Am not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or just poor design. What is my answer to what seems to be a problem for all toasters out there? Buy at a great price and the disappointment becomes bearable.Have seen ratings on the more expensive toasters and is all the same. My advice, is just toast! Is not a complicated task that merits a super expensive toaster that would probably disappoint as well.Over-all, I like the Looks, simplicity and toasts ok.Hope this review helps someone decide.
Si estás decidido a invertir unos pesos en un tostador que sea de buen material y duradero, este es. Vale cada centavo que se pague por el. Recomiendo estar cazando el mejor precio para comprarlo porque varía mucho de un día a otro.
Looks beautiful and makes excellent toast. The first few times, toast didn’t get as brown as I like but now it’s working great! So nice for making bagels for 2 or big slices of rye or sourdough toast!
Zwar teuer, aber mein Lieblingsteil geworden. Gut zu reinigen. Bräunung gleichmäßig und wie gewünscht. Mit Brötchen Aufsatz nicht mehr wegzudenken!
Muy contentos con nuestra compra.
Great toaster. Looks stylish. Functions very well. Great keep warm feature. Note the size this toaster is larger than a normal toaster. The fact that it fits odd size slices is perfect. We often buy different shaped bakery loaves that we cut ourselves and to date every slice fit in the toaster.

KitchenAid KMT4116CU comes in at number two on our list of the best long-slot toasters. This minimalist, high-tech toaster may be out of reach for some, but it is well worth every penny.

When reviewing this long-slot toaster, its contemporary design was the first thing that caught our eye. We find the resemblance between the KitchenAid and the toaster your parents used to be incredibly endearing.

In contrast to toasters of the past, this one is equipped with numerous high-tech features. The KitchenAid toaster has two slots that accommodate nearly all types of pastries. There will be no difficulty toasting baguettes, homemade bread, or other kinds of bread.

This toaster with a long slot features seven heat settings. Turning the dial on the front panel can adjust the temperature from defrosting to darkness.

Most toasters include some temperature control, but this one goes further. Below the dial, three buttons can be activated to toast bagels, defrost them, and keep the toasted slice warm for extended periods.

This is not the end of the good stuff. This long slot also includes a crumb tray and a cord storage space for added convenience.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Long Slot 4 Slice Toaster, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in terms of both performance and design.Pros:1. Ease of Use: This toaster is incredibly user-friendly, with intuitive controls that make it easy to select the desired toasting settings.2. Consistent Toasting: I found that the toaster consistently delivered perfectly toasted bread every time, just as I expected.3. Modern Design: With its sleek stainless steel and black exterior, this toaster adds a touch of modern elegance to any kitchen countertop. Its compact size also makes it ideal for kitchens with limited space.4. Versatile Functions: One standout feature is the built-in warming rack, which provides the option to warm or reheat food while toasting simultaneously. This versatility is a game-changer, especially for busy mornings when you need to multitask.Cons:1. None to mention: In my experience, I didn’t encounter any significant drawbacks or issues with this toaster. It performed admirably in all aspects, delivering consistent results with each use.Overall, the Long Slot 4 Slice Toaster combines functionality, style, and versatility into one impressive appliance. Whether you’re looking to toast bread, bagels, or waffles, this toaster delivers outstanding performance with ease. Its sleek design and convenient features make it a standout addition to any kitchen.
Super cool. This is a great toaster and at a great price it really can toast multiple pieces and has a rack that pops up for like warming croissants but it’s great for me because my girlfriend likes raisin bread and I like olive bread so I can put two pieces of hers on one side and two pieces of mine on the other and it looks sleek and it’s kind of small and compact. Great toaster for the price.
Great toaster, but no bagel setting. For the price, its a great 4-slice toaster. However, if you like bagels toasted only on one side, this one may not be for you. Not a huge deal, but my previous toaster did a great job with bagels, and this one does not toast just one side. Otherwise, so far so good. Hard to complain about a $32 toaster, right?
Stylish and functional. After many years of using a toaster oven I decided to get a toaster. I looked at many and decided on this one. Very good choice. It will do 4 slices at once and the openings are wide enough for toasting bagels and english muffins. Ther is even a wrming rack over the top of the toaster to just give things a quick heat. I am very pleased with this toaster! Highly recommended.
Great for all types of breads. This is the perfect all-around toaster. With the extra-long and wider slots, it accommodates a wide variety of breads and pastries. It toasts perfectly on both sides. I love the fact you have multiple control settings. Having the options to toast from light to dark with 6 settings and to be able to reheat and defrost which comes in handy for me (because I freeze some of my breads). I also like the high lift lever, so you don’t have to reach in with something to pull it out. The cord is longer than most toasters which is a plus. The slide out crumb tray is easy to use and clean. The bonus warming rack is perfect for my croissants. I highly recommend this toaster.
Sleek Countertop Space Saver. I really like the sleek, modern look of this toaster. It’s great for English muffins and bagels, too. It is oblong so it takes up less countertop space. The price is reasonable as well!
Sweet toaster. This toaster is great. I love the long toasting slots. If I want to toast a hoagie bun, I can! It does fit 4 slices of bread. Offers a warming rack, I haven’t used that yet, but looks like it’ll work great. Nice cord length, toasts evenly. Good buy!
Good product for the money with one caveat. I had previously purchased one of those fancy $300 toasters that had a screen to use for customization of your toasting. But the slots were very narrow and wouldn’t even fit a bagel. This relatively inexpensive toaster does a very very good job and has wide slots for thick bread, sourdough, or bagels. it actually is one of the fastest toasting toaster that I have ever seen usually I have to. Usually I have to walk away from a toaster for a minute or two while the bread is warmed or toasted. With this toaster I don’t even have to leave because it’s usually just a minute or less and the toasting is done one important caveat, although it just may have been with my particular item, I do not put the setting pass number two. Because if I do, the bread gets burned. Now that is not even 1/4 of the way all through the dial so be careful. Most toasters people tend to put about halfway to get their toast nice and brown. With this toaster I barely moved the wheel up to the first click, and it was already dark. So you may have to experiment, but I found that I barely have to move it up to get a nice dark toast.

We get it. Not everyone can afford toasters that cost $100 or more. You don’t have to spend a fortune every morning to get the perfect toast.

Thankfully, Elite Cuisine Platinum ECT-3100 offers all the advantages of a contemporary toaster at a fraction of the price!

Although the ECT-3100 is an inexpensive toaster, it does not look cheap. This kitchen appliance has a luxurious appearance due to its stainless-steel body and black plastic accents. You can rest assured that it will fit perfectly in your kitchen.

The slots are approximately 10 inches long and 1.25 inches wide, which is sufficient for most sliced pastries. This toaster would be at the top of the list if the slots were slightly larger.

Sadly, the low budget also results in a shortage of features. Unlike the two preceding models we reviewed, the ETC-3100 lacks features such as independently controlled slots and bagel toasting mode.

This toaster has only the bare minimum of features. These features are accessible at the touch of a button and include defrosting and reheating settings, as well as the ability to cancel and eject the toast in the middle of the process. In addition, six temperature settings can be adjusted by turning the dial.

Even though it has few features, the ECT-3100 is simple to clean due to its integrated crumb tray.

Exactly what you would expect, as advertised. For the price a great value. This is easy to use, looks good and works like you would expect. Do not expect Wolf or similar construction, but looks good and the controls are easy to adjust, hold their level of toasting. Like the reheat function, and cancel function. We have it set on one of the lowest settings to keep from burning toast. Not sure what you would want the higher setting for, anything more than a couple of setting up from the lowest burns toast. But the lowest seems to work well for a medium level of toasting and not burning. I would not return but if choosing again would look again for other options. However not unhappy with this choice.
KRUPS TOASTER. LOVE THIS THING / BEST TOASTER I EVER HAD AND I HAVE HAD PLENTY / ONLY DOWNSIDE IS STAINLESS COVER GETS PRETTY HOT DURING USE / WOULD BUY AGAIN
Works well, looks like a mirror. Beware, it’s VERY shiny chrome- looks like a mirror. My husband who doesn’t really care about aesthetics with appliances/kitchens thought it looked kind of ugly sitting on the counter. I gave it 4 stars because it looks a little ugly/cheap for how expensive it it. I wanted a breville 4 slice but they were back ordered. I think this would be 5 stars if it was maybe $60 instead of $80.Pros:- Packaged very well in it’s own box within the Amazon box.- Toasts evenly. (Photo of fresh English muffin on 3.5)-reheat buttonCon:- Chrome front/top/levers are very shiny and make it look cheap/off with all my stainless steel appliances, only sides are brushed.- Gets too hot to the touch on top/front/sides. Not great for kids that like to ‘help’.
Terrific Toaster. I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research before buying this toaster. I love it. The toaster itself is very attractive and modern looking. It works like a charm. I read reviews that complained about the length of time it took to toast. I learned many years ago that low quality toasters usually toasted very fast, browning the outside, but not warming the bread product itself through and through. When I started to purchase better quality toasters I learned that they did indeed take a bit longer to toast. The reason being is that they toasted more slowly and at a lower temperature which allowed the bread to be thoroughly heated through, not just browned on the outside. This toaster takes as long as the one it replaced as it too was a high quality toaster. It toasts perfectly evenly on bread, bagels, waffles, etc. I appreciate the reheat feature which allows the bread product to be heated again without getting more toasted. The defrost setting works just as it should and is really very fast. I appreciate the crumb trays which are located in the front at the bottom. They’re very easy to keep clean. Also, if you have something that is sitting low in the toaster, simply push up on the lever and your item will be raised enough so you won’t have the need to go fishing for it with a knife or fork. This toaster also has a 2 year warranty which is a nice change from the standard one year offered on most products. I would recommend this toaster to anyone. There’s not one thing that I would change about it or that I’m not pleased with. Don’t forget to do as the manufacturer instructs and run on the highest setting with nothing in the toaster for 2 or 3 times before actually toasting in it.
Great toaster! Just bought replacement after 8 1/2 years. I don’t usually do reviews but in the process of buying a replacement (primary) toaster I was surprised at how many middling to bad rating this baby got.Bought the first one through Amazon is mid-2014. It has been moved 5 times, one move cross-country. It is beat to heck. Dents in the side and scrapes all over from poor packing. It’s like a Timex watch, takes a licking and keeps on toasting.I looks around before buying the replacement, but found nothing to match the features of this one. The slots are nice and long as well as wide. The bagel setting actually toasts the inside of the bagel and warms the outside. It toast wide bread and thick bread. I even put frozen biscuit in the slot to defrost and warm up. I have to use wooden tongs to retrieve them, but it works. No doubt the toaster has been abused. I heat plates on it nearly everyday. That’s probably not good for it, but it does a fine job. The only thing wrong with it is the abuse has made the toasting uneven. I can flip the bread and it does fine, I’ll move it to the caseta on our house and let it live on, just not in daily use.The toaster has been a workhorse for my family. I hope it is for yours.
liked most things but it does not darken the toast enough even on the highest setting and the blue lights on the front glares in your eyes when trying to see the settings
Works great, takes a little longer to toast than expected. Good looking on the counter and would recommend to buy
Very pretty toaster. The sides are typical stainless steel and the top and front are mirror-like. As indicated in the instructions, it had a very strong odour the first few runs so we ran without anything it is until that was gone.
Ever since I plugged this in it has easily been the worst toaster I have ever owned. It takes forever to make toast and does not toast evenly. Not only do you have to wait forever for your toast, you then have to turn it around and make it even. Absolutely horrible appliance.
esthétique très belle, se nettoie bien, mais après 2-3 semaines d’utilisation les toast ne grillesplus égales et sont plus pâles même au maximum.je ne recommande pas ce produit.

This black and stainless-steel model reliably toasts white bread to a delicate golden hue and rye bread to a darker brown shade. It can toast up to four slices at once, and if there’s a crowd at the table, it will toast each slice to the same degree of doneness without burning the second or third batch. This model is equipped with two control panels, allowing you to toast a frozen bagel on one side and a fresh slice of whole grain bread on the other, each toasted to perfection.

In addition to six browning settings, additional functions include defrost, reheat, and bagel—a lever with a high lift aid in retrieving smaller pieces of toast. In our testing, we particularly appreciated that the toast and English muffins popped up high enough to be easily grasped.

Key Features
  • 1500 watts
  • 4-Slot Toaster
  • 6 Browning Settings
  • 2 Independent Control Panels

  • Exclusive Defrost, Reheat And Bagel Functions
PROS

Light weight, modern, cool to touch, retracting CORD. My five star review is based on a two (2) week ownership of this toaster if things change and update will be posted.Pros : Obviously the RETRACTING CORD (such a space saver) i just hope the springs or what ever hold up,but that (the retracting cord) was a MAJOR reason behind my purchasing this toaster and im sure youre also looking at this feature. (works well so far)It is VERY LIGHT WEIGHT which i find to be a plus.NOT hot to the touch! (the black side surface does not radiate heat)It looks nice and modern and IMO would match a Keurig coffee machine perfect (the blk and silver model with the blue lights) as this toaster lights up with a blue tinge when set on a setting. Its size is moderate its not BIG, but it isnt tiny. And to whats really important… Its performance! It toasts bagels and bread very good I have no complaints thus far.The features this toaster offers are also nice in addition to everything else!Cons: The only thing I can think of is it being so light maybe its not made of the best materials, but many high end sports cars are also made of light materials and perform well. No this isnt a Bugatti its just a toaster.
Simple Toaster Gets the Toast/Bagel/Waffles Done Right. As the household review-guy my wife tasked me with finding a new toaster to replace our dead Cuisinart toaster. A relatively straightforward task turned out to be a bit more difficult than I imagined at first. So after reading way to many reviews and after considering spending way more money for what I thought would be an inexpensive appliance I settled on the Hamilton Beach Keep Warm 2-slice Toaster. A pretty middle-of-the-road toaster if there ever was one but it functions perfectly and does the job simply… so what more can we ask?►Features:So there are some nifty features packed into this toaster and they are actually pretty intuitive!1) Keep Warm: This is on by default and is a terrific feature for folks like me that pops in bread and then walks away in the morning to do other things. Keep Warm does exactly what it describes and keeps your toast nice and warm for up to 3-minutes. Works perfectly and doesn’t over-toast your toast while keeping it hot enough to still melt butter.2) Bagel: Toasts only one side of a bagel.3) Defrost. In my house my son goes through a lot of frozen waffles so this setting is perfect for fist thawing out the waffles before lightly toasting them.4) Cancel. Pretty much self-explanatory. This cancels whatever setting and pops your toast/waffle/bagel so you can start over.5) Chime/Beep. When your toast is done there’s a audible chime/beep indicating that you’re ready to eat! At first I was a little hesitant about this feature (we have a baby in the house) but the beep isn’t obnoxious (hello Kenmore microwave) and just beeps once.6) Dial. Pretty standard on toasters – the dial is used to indicate how dark you want your toast. Works great. All in all this toaster is working out great in my house and we actually like it way more than we ever liked our old Cuisinart. Top marks all around.
Just what I was looking for. I purchased this after several years living with a Breville long-slot toaster. It worked OK, but the controls were on the side and the only place I had for it resulted in a position where the controls ended up against a side wall. That meant that every time I needed to use the toaster, I had to pull it out from the wall. That, and after several years, it developed a bad habit of burning everything unless I stood over it and watched it like a hawk. Time for a new toaster. So after reading the reviews and looking over and comparing several other brands, I decided to give this a try. I’ve had it for 3 weeks now, and so far, I like it.First, the primary reason I bought it: The controls are on the end. It’s a little smaller than my older toaster, so it fits within the same “footprint” nicely. The cord is sufficiently long to reach the plug about 9″ up and 6″ to the right of the toaster — it would easily accommodate an outlet located another 6″ or so further away (I have it wrapped once around the cord guide in the base). The slots are wide enough to handle bagels and long enough to accommodate the large width of some of the artisan breads so popular these days. I also make my own bread, and this works well for that, too.So how does it toast? It took a few tries to get the setting just right, and it does vary depending on what I’m toasting (artisan bread from the bakery, bagels, frozen waffles, etc.). The heating can be a bit uneven, but it’s not major — no charred or untoasted spots, just some slight color variations.Yes, it beeps, quite loudly. But I live alone, so I’m not overly concerned about waking others. If you live with light sleepers, you may want to take this into consideration.Bottom line: I’m quite happy with this. It’s not perfect, but it’s performing nicely and it appears to be sturdy enough to withstand at least several years of several-times-a-week use. Solid 4 stars.
The media could not be loaded.  Nice toaster, very esthetically pleasing. Retractable cord is sooo convenient! I purchased mine in 2020 so almost 4years later and it still works great!
Bien hecho. Facil manejo. Caben diferentes grosores de pan y se puede seleccionar el grado de tostado. Funciona muy bien. Facil de limpiar. Lo recomiendo.
La relación calidad-precio es excelente.
Like so many others, I’ve recently started baking my own sourdough bread. I like my bread toasted, and didn’t know there was an easy way to toast a full slice of this oversized goodness until I saw this long slot toaster.Bottom line: it’s a keeper!Pluses: FINALLY! I can toast a full slice of sourdough (or any other artisanal beard I bake). The LONG 10″ (25.4 cm) slots easily accommodate any slice I’ll probably produce. Many reviewers noted to beeps, which I actually like. If I’m busy making several things at once, I don’t overlook that the toast has popped up. If it’s going to be buttered I can slather on the topping while the toast is at its warmest.Someone also mentioned they don’t like that the cord comes out the front. Well guess what? You can easily run the cord beneath the toaster so it exits out the back. They made room for it to exit between the two rear feet. Some reviewers also mentioned the bagel setting did nothing. It works perfectly on mine, turning off the outside sets of elements in both slots. As long as you put the bagel in with the sliced part towards the centre you’ll be fine. If by change you get one that doesn’t turn off the outboard elements, it’s probably a manufacturing issue. Just have Amazon ship a replacement.Negatives: The elements are HOT so it does toast quickly. When you first get it, it will probably take some trial-and-error to get the perfect setting. Because it is much more efficient that my previous Hamilton Beach toaster, it cooks more quickly and I did burn a slice leaving it in too long. Once I got the setting where I wanted it, the toast is consistent and perfectly toasted.UPDATE: There are several comments about it burning toast around the edges. After much experimentation, I’ve come to the conclusion this is because of the long slot and only happens when the shot isn’t full of bread. Here’s what happens: When you put a slice of bread in, all the elements heat up. The elements that are adjacent to the bread do their job and toast it. The sections of elements that have no toast in front of them still heat, which super-heats the air in the slot. That extra-hot air is now next to the edges of the bread in the slot, so in effect the edges are heated more quickly (from all that extra-hot air in the empty portion of the slot). When the slot is filled completely with bread (two sandwich-size slices end to end), it toasts very evenly.I’ve found that by setting the toaster to a lower number and toasting twice, the slot can cool a bit and the edges don’t burn.
I have had this toaster for a few weeks. I am very happy with this toaster. . functions well, lightweight, can be stored in cupboard and very well priced. The buzzer warns you just before the toast is finished which is a nice feature.

We get it. Toasters costing $100 or more are not affordable for everyone. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy perfect toast each morning.

Thankfully, the Elite Cuisine Platinum ECT-3100 has all the features of a contemporary toaster at a fraction of the price!

Even though the ECT-3100 is a low-cost toaster, it does not appear cheap. The stainless-steel body and black plastic accents give this kitchen appliance a high-end appearance. You can be confident that it will fit flawlessly in your kitchen.

The slots are roughly ten inches long and 1.25 inches wide, sufficient for accommodating many types of sliced pastry. If the slots were slightly larger, we would rank this toaster first.

Unfortunately, the low budget also limits the number of features available. The ETC-3100 lacks features such as separately controlled slots and bagel toasting mode, in contrast to the two previous models we reviewed.

This toaster includes only the most fundamental features. These features can be accessed with the press of a button and include defrosting and reheating modes, as well as the option to cancel and eject the toast mid-process. In addition, the dial offers six different temperature settings.

The ECT-3100’s crumb tray makes it simple to clean, despite its limited number of features.

Key Features

  • Easily fits extra-long, extra-wide breads and bagels
  • Optional keep warm setting – toast stays warm for an extra 3 minutes in slots
  • Cool-wall, stainless steel sides
  • Bagel, Defrost, and Cancel
  • Toast Boost lifts toast higher for easy removal

Burned toast on lightest setting. Will return. On the lowest setting, my toasted sandwich bread was charred black on two sides and very dark on the other two. It did “pop up”, but like a launched rocket! I wanted light golden brown toast. It is not possible with this device. I will return it.
Elite Gourmet 4-Slice Toaster: Style, Functionality, and Durability in One. Morning routines just got a whole lot better with my Elite Gourmet ECT4829B Toaster. This sleek, black appliance isn’t just about looks; it’s a powerhouse in the kitchen. With extra-wide slots, it’s been perfect for my varied breakfast choices, from thick bagels to delicate waffles. The six toast settings are a dream, offering precision toasting every time. It’s user-friendly, too – the defrost, reheat, and cancel functions make it more than just a toaster; it’s a morning-time assistant. I’ve had it for a few months now, and it’s as reliable as day one – a testament to its durability. The slide-out crumb tray is a small but significant feature, making clean-up a breeze. It stands out from other toasters I’ve used in both functionality and style. This toaster doesn’t just meet my expectations; it consistently exceeds them, making every breakfast a delight.
COULD BE BETTER. There are several things that are just fine about this toaster, however it does not toast evenly. The controls work fine and you can toast bread as well as bagels 4 at a time with no problem, but sometimes other parts of the bread are done less. Not sure I would buy this brand again.
Great purchase. I had not purchased a pretty, reliable toaster in so long that I was apprehensive about going with a different design. This has been perfect for our family. The design is very nice and the slots are wide enough for hamburger buns and bagels. It toasts evenly as well.
Where is the Jelly. Finally after a couple attempts ound a toaster that works well and is affordable beside1
Updated: My Christmas Gift. Well it’s March 21, not even 3 months later. This toaster has not kept a normal temperature. Sometimes it makes toast as it should but it could also burn one side (always the side closest to the temperature knob) We have been having to turn it down more and more just to keep it from burning. I withdrawn my last statement on the original post below. Instead I will say it works like a dollar store toaster and I do not recommend buying it.My husband did not like buying me this for Christmas. I almost had to beg. I’m an adult now and I want kitchen appliances. This toaster is very nice, it has 2 wide slots going the length of it. I have toasted wider bread and waffles at the same time. Meaning I can sit down and eat with him and both our food be hot.It says 1-2 are light and 3-4 medium 5-6 darkI tried 3 for my bread and it was way too dark. Level 2 works perfect for us.This is a time saver and you can cook more things than a normal toaster can. I would have to cut off the crust of my bread on 1 side just to get it to fit in my old normal $10 toaster. Bagel, English muffins and waffles have all fit without being smashedI love it definitely recommend
Love it. Looks good, well made, works as advertised. Only warning is beware the middle lol it will over toast ur begals
Nice for the price. We purchased the black color toaster. It’s long, like a rectangular shape, but the cord isn’t very long. No matter how I set the control, it burns the toast. It does better with muffins. So, I just have to watch it closely when I’m making toast which isn’t that big a deal.
Excellent price for 4 slice toaster. Very light and toasts perfect, picture is 2 slices of non frozen great value bread on level 3. Crumb tray is finicky and not easy to remove or put back but not worth docking a star. If you need a new toaster this is the one to get.
Great toaster. I like the fact that it’s long and not square shaped as it takes up less counter space. It has a few neat features such as being able to warm up previously toasted slices without toasting them further. Good for regular slices of bread or extra wide bagels. It’s everything you need in a toaster.
Le caben perfectamente los 4 panes, no importa la marca qué sea. Detalles de calidad, mi mamá está muy contenta con su tostadora
Llego antes y esta perfecto
This toaster works well but it pops your toast right out of the toaster. It toasts the toast nicely

This model is a traditional toaster, and its design is simple and minimalistic. The craftsmanship is quite good. This toaster’s body is white, and its slots are silver. Due to its uncomplicated design and neutral color, the toaster easily complements any kitchen aesthetic.

The dimensions and weight of the slim four-slice toaster are 15.5 x 6.5 x 7.25 inches and 1 pound. It is longer, but its slim design makes it a travel-friendly, lightweight option. The toaster’s body is made of plastic for durability, while the slots are made of metal.

The toaster is a classic model with two standard functions, reheat and defrost, and a cancel option, a fundamental feature. Three simple buttons manage these elements with indicator lights. Additionally, you can easily customize your toast with six levels of browning and crispiness.

The slots on the slimline four-slice toaster are 10 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. Due to this, it is suitable for toasting various types and sizes of bread, bagels, buns, English muffins, and other foods. This model has two slots that can accommodate four slices.

The toaster’s quality components guarantee a secure and stable toasting process. It has a high-lift lever to make removing the bread easier and prevent burning your fingers on the hot slots. Additionally, rubber feet are attached to the bottom to ensure stability and avoid sliding.

Aesthetically Pleasing and works well. So far this toaster has worked very well. No issues or concerns. It looks so much better on my counter than my last bulky toaster. I love the design and that it is a long toaster as opposed to square. It feels like it takes up much less space on my counter. I have had for about 2 months so can’t say anything about longevity- but so far so good.
Good-looking, performs well, a few quirks. We’ve been using this toaster almost daily since September and we’re pleased with it. It was one of very few narrow models that would fit on the counter in our tiny kitchen and I think it’s one of the nicest-looking toasters out there. It has a couple of quirks: most of the time, it automatically goes to the darkest setting when you start it, so you have to be vigilant and press the button to set it for less time. After blackening a fair bit of toast in the beginning, we are now trained. It is also tricky to clean. While there is a slide-out tray, a lot of crumbs, raisins, etc., get stuck to the areas on either side of it, so I frequently need to unplug it and shake it over the sink. Even so, it’s quite nice and I can recommend it.
Terrific toaster. I spent way too much time researching toasters, but it was worthwhile because the Russell Hobbs is a terrific toaster. It makes excellent toast, it’s easy to use, it is very attractive (especially in a modern, sleek, kitchen), the defroster alternative works flawlessly, and it takes up very little room. This springer is so powerful that the post literally pops out of the slots and almost onto the counter. So no risking bring your hands by lifting the bread out of the slot. In particular, I like that it handles longer slices of bread, which I found to be a problem with my previous toaster. If I were forced to write some negatives, the 4 temperature buttons are more limiting than a toaster with more buttons or dial. (Although, for all I know, it is more difficult to select exactly the temperature you want with the dial.) Second, the bottom doesn’t completely open so it is possible that burned bread could be stuck around the edges of the bottom. Finally, if your budget demands a toaster that toasts bread, I’m sure you could buy something cheaper. But those negatives are insignificant. This is a terrific toaster and, if you don’t mind paying for an upscale toaster, I cannot recommend it more highly.
Makes perfect toast. I never knew how subpar my other toasters have been until I purchased this one. Based on the America’s Test Kitchen review, we purchased this toaster. It makes perfect toast. It has a setting when you have bread that is frozen. English muffins always required two or more tries to get it right. With this toaster, first time is a charm. Beyond the frozen setting, you can adjust settings for light or dark. It looks sleek on the kitchen counter and its easy to clean. Highly recommend if you want a positive toaster experience.
You will love this long toaster. Beautiful and sleek. The toasting capabilities are awesome. I love the “defrost/toast” feature.
Looks good, love the rack, terrible toasting. I bought this because it fits perfectly in an odd little narrow counter space in my apartment. I also love the idea of the warming rack, since I often prop a roll or bun on top of my toaster, which often leads to burnt buns! So the good news is that it looks good, and the rack is great. Perfect for heating up croissants, hamburger buns etc.The bad news: it’s a terrible toaster. The edges of the bread burn before the middle is toasted. You can look in and see that the heating elements vary in how far out they stick from the sides. Maybe mine is a lemon, but this is just bad quality. I have to pop up and rotate the bread at least once to get even toasting, sometimes three times. Also, the controls are really stupidly designed. There’s a row of indistinguishable silver buttons, and the one in the middle is the Cancel button! You fumble around trying to hit the right one to pop the bread before it burns. At which point it will be flung across the counter.
Sleek. An easy to use, beautiful appliance, does the job of making toast!
Toaster from Russell Hobbs. Bought a different brand that either didn’t toast or burned the toast. Retuned it. Checked America Test Kitchen advice on toaster and so far really like how it toast. Never heard of the brand, was a little leery, but ATK has been mostly right on there advice.
This is an excellent toaster, my last toaster was a two slice retro red Russell Hobbs but I wanted a thinner one as counter space is premium. This machine toasts perfectly, the defrost option and the bagel options both deliver perfect results. When I first opened it I thought it was a bit thick but no, it saves a lot of space. It looks like a “Silver Bullet” it has a mirror finish and looks slick. I paired it with the 1.7 Ltr kettle (see seperate review)
Très joli grille pain, performant et prenant peu de place
belle apparence sur le comptoir
Looks good and toast turns out okay but it is apparent that the lever is not going to last long. Interior metal supports are not very sturdy.
I bought this toaster for my wife and she loves it!!!

This is a very nice Toaster overall. This is more like a Cadillac then a Rolls Royce for toasters. But it’s sleek, elegant, nice looking, very study, heavy duty, and perhaps well made. Time will tell how well made it is. But after bagels and bread, it’s work pretty good for me. I like the defrost button, that works well for my frozen bagels. I used the defrost and the bagel button together and it works well. With the slider in the middle between 3 and 4, this works well for me. I looked at dozens of toasters, even images on Google, and I read tons of reviews. As far as I can tell, this is perhaps the best choice for the money, although a bit pricey now, I paid less. However it seems really solid and the outside does not get hot, except near the very top. The biggest beef with toasters, and that includes nearly all of them I have read reviews from, just about every brand, they all complain that the bread is never heated evenly. I won’t go out on a limb here and say this one does, but it works well enough for me. I didn’t see any huge disparaging synonyms that my bagels or bread were zebra striped with dark spots and light spots. I think you just have to test it and adjust the settings, and with a little tender loving care, you can get by ok. I don’t believe any toaster is perfect in this regard, but this one seems to do a fair job. There are a few toasters that cost many, many hundreds of dollars, and why waste money like that? This one is a bit pricey, and the Brand name is well known, so a another reviewer said, this is probably as good as it gets! Slots are long and wide enough for just about any slice of bread, French, Sour Dough, or otherwise!Update: It’s true that the bread does burn faster at the very bottom of the toaster. What I do is flip the bread or bagel half way through to insure it does not toast unevenly. The results are good if you flip it. I am not sure why this happens, but I can see the wires at the bottom become more red and hot then the wires in the middle. This might be similar to what some electric heaters do sometimes. It seems some parts of the wires are hotter then other parts, maybe closer to where the conduction starts. Rather then a design flaw, maybe it’s a bit of technology they haven’t quite fixed yet. My old toaster West Bend, had solid plates installed in front of all the conduction wires. This insured that the heat was distributed evenly over all parts of the bread, and it toasted bread perfectly. Also this prevented electric shock from touching the wires with a stainless steel knife. However, it did not come in long slot size, but came as a 4 slice toaster with a poached egg attachment. The West Bend was good for about two years, then it gave out.
Amazing and incredibly versatile toaster. This is hands down the best toaster I’ve ever owned. I was looking for a very versatile toaster that would handle a wide variety of bread sizes and also bagels. I frequently purchase artesian breads that are longer and sometimes thicker than normal packaged breads, and this toaster handles everything I’ve tried. And this includes toasting bagels perfectly. And on this topic, there is a bagel setting (along with defrost and normal) so only one side of the bagel will toast – it warms the other side. I however am an odd duck and like both sides toasted, so by not selecting the bagel setting, both sides will toast. It will easily accommodate two slices of “normal” bread in each slot. And there are heating elements on both sides of each slot, but again, in the bagel mode, the elements on only one side of each slot glow red when you depress the bagel mode. I can’t imagine anything one would want to toast that this toaster couldn’t handle.I am very pleased with how it toast as well. Very evenly, or as evenly as one could hope for. A little browner around the edges, which I love, but pretty uniform overall, and fine for my tastes. There are 7 darken position on a very easy to use slider. There is nothing flimsy or poorly designed with this toaster. The slider is well made as well as the toast lever. There is another feature I really like and that is a “cancel” button that you can depress if you want to end the toast cycle and raise the bread so you can remove from the toaster. And the crumb tray slides out easily so you can easily clean crumbs out of the toaster. The slots measure 10″ long x 1 9/16″ wide and it is just over 5″ deep. With these measurements you might expect this toaster to be rather large, and it is. It takes up a fair amount of the cabinet work surface. But it is a very attractive toaster – solid chrome with attractively designed buttons on the side along with the darken slide lever. It’s not the cheapest toaster on the market, but for what you get I think it’s a great value. I highly recommend.
Nice toaster for long slices but metal is a bit thin. This toaster works great. I’ve been making artesian sourdough bread and most toasters will not fit a long slice of the bread. I ordered this based on price and reviews of other customers. The price was reasonable compared to other units that could toast long slices. The browning control is easy to use and produces an evenly toasted slice. Cleaning it is ok but the crumb tray is small and I find I have to turn it over to get some crumbs out. Most toasters I’ve owned have been this way so it isn’t an issue. It would have received 5 stars if it was made with a bit heavier gauge metal. It seems a bit tinny, but it works and looks nice.
Toaster perfect for long artisan bread. I resisted purchasing this toaster for a while because I thought the price was kind of high, but I’m glad I finally decided to buy it. We toast long slices of sourdough, Vienna or Italian bread in our toaster almost exclusively and this toaster can handle those slices with ease. We store our bread for toasting in the freezer, so I find I’m using the defrost setting to defrost and then toast the bread most of the time and it works great. No guessing anymore, I just set the toaster to my desired degree of darkness and the toaster does the rest. Because of their shape of these loaves, we sometimes have very small slices to toast and occasionally a small edge curls in and gets too close to the element and burns, but I think that happens in any toaster with this type of bread and it’s not a concern. I like the lift feature, although since our slices are long and narrow, sometimes the lift isn’t quite high enough, so I use toast tongs as an assist. For me, that’s not enough to deduct a star.
Funciona de maravilla para pan artesanal y bagels, estéticamente es excelente
parfait pour les grosses toast
The toaster looks nice, but it’s 120v 60hz!!!Found out after checking the base of the unit. Nothing on the Amazon description, nothing on the box or the paperwork. Why sell this on Amazon SG? Just a waste of shipping and frustration to send it back
Après 9 mois d’utilisation, aucun problème présentement.
Had to get used to the operation. Unlike our old toaster the elements did not glow but heat was being generated. At first we thought the toasted needed to have its control knob increased. This initially resulted in burning of the bread and bagels. We finally found the correct setting after trial and error but interestingly the elents do not glow as all our previous taster did. Perhaps there is a newer technology now incorporated in toasters to make them more energy efficient yet still toast as required. This was a slight learning curve for us but the toaster now works fine. Better instructions perhaps would have helped

Nice and toasty. We had this same make/model Oster for at least 6 years with constant use and never had any issues. One day it started to not work quite right so to be safe and not sorry we opted to get a new one. Of course we bought the same Oster which is this one and it is as good and/or better than the first. Fits any size bread, bagel or whatever you can think of. Versatile as a toaster, defroster or just crisping four frozen waffles at the same time. Looks really cool, too! ✨
Sleek Toasty Toaster. Never did it take me so long to choose an item as a toaster! I got super bogged down reading review after review of different toaster models and eventually landed on this one. I’ve had it for a few months now and it works great! It has a really nice sleek design and all the settings I could ask for. The price point is reasonable and it’s very easy to use. I’m really glad I ended up buying this toaster. I just wish I hadn’t spent so much time trying to decide!
pretty toaster. this is a nice looking toaster, shines up well and looks good on counter. Dial for toasting is easy to use and adjusts toast well. Bread, waffles, etc do not toast evenly, with bottom portion toasting darker than upper portion. Occasionally need to turn toast over to get a little better overall toast. I am not using abnormal bread or waffles, size is regular Eggo frozen waffle and standard loaf bread, not the longer slices.
Perfect for a wide range of uses but is quite large. I purchased this after my old toaster decided popping up was no longer its job and nearly burned the kitchen down. This new toaster is quite large but has a nice design.Pros: Thick bagels, 4 slices of toast, and wide loaf slices all fit with ease. The food pops up to a convenient height to grab easily. So far, items are toasted evenly.Con: I highly suggest turning the toaster on for the very first time once you receive it without food in it. You can smell the plastics the first time.
High Quality. This is the least expensive but by far the best toaster I’ve tried over the last year or so. Granted it’s not the fanciest, high tech “she she” toaster out there, but it outperforms all others when it comes to blending form, function, dependability and safety. It actually delivers toast quickly and the way you want it.
My husband is the toaster in the house. The last toaster broke, so we were in need of a new one. This one works great and it saves counter space. He toasted two English muffins. That was four slices total all at once in the two long slots.
A bit of a let down from Oster. I first gained experience with Oster over 20 years ago when I purchased the Osterizer beehive blender. Not only did the blender look uber cool, but it outperformed every other blender I have ever used and has withstood the test of time. It is still working flawlessly today. So when the time came to look for a new toaster, I was intrigued by a few product offerings on Amazon from this brand. I stumbled on and chose this model because 1) met my requirement for a 4 slice toaster, 2) the reviews were more than adequate, and 3) it looks uber cool and matches well with my beehive. I have had the product now for nearly 2 weeks and have intentionally used every function. Let’s review.Aesthetically, the unit looks retro and stylish. I was a bit surprised at its large size but that is my bad for not paying close attention to its dimensions. It’s long….like Oldsmobile long. lol. See picture with DVD to get some perspective if are considering purchasing. The knobs, buttons and levers are laid out quite simply and intuitively, but one VERY annoying feature are the labels for each button. The labels are above each button and the lettering is light gray against a silver background. And in my kitchen, at least, with the glare of the overhead light, they are very VERY difficult to read from a normal position. Again, see the picture posted. My phone was level with the toaster and approx 1 foot away, and they are difficult to make out. Even with my glasses on (and my daughter with her 20/20 vision), we had to get inches from the unit and turn our heads this way-n-that to avoid the glare to see which button you need. Maybe after a while, owners will memorize the button functions and their location but right now, I still have to squint.Operationally, the unit functions adequately but has not impressed me. Like many toasters, the unit is sensitive to number of slices, repeated toasting, density of bread, etc. But this unit seems to be ultra-sensitive to all of those things, taking your slice of bread from medium to charred if you’re not careful.Let’s go through each feature:~ The knob runs clockwise from 1 to 8 representing lightest to darkest, respectively. My first attempt at “toast” was set at 4 with cold start and the bread was darker than what I would consider medium. For cold start, I like my setting at 3.5 for what I consider a medium toast of a slice of Aunt Millie’s white bread. I mention the brand because density of your bread will make a difference in how one slice browns at 3.5 versus another slice that may be denser (it will be lighter). I also mention cold start because the unit does not do a consistent job when toasting sequential slices. In other words, if I toast 4 slices from cold at medium 3.5 and once they pop out, I slide 4 more slices immediately to toast at 3.5, I will get a darker 4.5ish because the unit is hot. Keep that in mind. While this is true with most toasters, this one does not do a good job at controlling heat for sequential toasting. FWIW, I’ve not toasted anything beyond a 6 as that was PLENTY dark for me and still be edible.~ The Lever functions as expected. I would have preferred the toast lift to lift a little higher but it is adequate.~ Toast button works as expected. If no other button is selected, toast is default.~ Bagel button does not seem to have any value whatsoever. My last toaster’s bagel function only heated one side of the elements in each slot; the theory being that you want only the inside of your bagel toasted so that the exterior is chewy. Not with this toaster. At least not from what I could see. The bagel function toasted both sides, and seemed no different than toast.~ Frozen button also does not seem to have any value whatsoever other than taking longer to get your food. The manual indicates it will defrost and then toast, but I did not find any difference from toast button when toasting 2 frozen slices of banana bread. The toast button did exactly the same thing in shorter time.~ 30 sec button is supposed to give you the luxury of toasting something for 30 seconds longer (I guess if it comes out and it’s not dark enough). But in my trials, it toasted for 52 seconds, every time, consderably longer than half a minute. Also, I’m not sure of the point of this feature. If I want to toast my bread a bit longer, I’ll just…toast and cancel when I think it’s done. I guess the thought is you can walk away for ….um…30 seconds? The manual is pretty much useless unless you have NEVER used a toaster before in your life. Each button has exactly the same description for it which is basically: 1) insert food, 2) press <feature> button, 3) lower lever, 4) food pops, 5) eat. The Frozen instructions have the add’l statement that the toaster will defrost your food first and then toast. The bagel instructions don’t tell you what PURPOSE it serves (i.e. only one side toasted?). Even the 30 sec instructions follow the same 5 steps above. lol. It’s like they copy-n-pasted the paragraphs rather than put any real thought into informative instructions.Ordering was Amazon prime and great. 5 stars.Delivery was also great, even during the coronavirus pandemic, although I would have liked to have had the box inside of another box. They sent/delivered the unit in its original box, which I suppose is okay, but I didn’t care for the fact that my neighbors all knew I bought a new toaster since it sat on my patio all day! I think the extra box (and padding) would go a long way toward customer satisfaction. 4 stars.Overall,4 stars for toast quality, 3 stars for functionality and 2 stars for features (buttons) so 3 stars overall because quite frankly, for $50.00US, I expected better from Oster.
Fantastic Toaster! Perfect toast, bagels and waffles everytime. We’ve battled with many toasters over the years. We mainly just got inexpensive ones, figuring you could only get so much out of a darn toaster. But after getting sick of inconsistent burnt toast and waffles that were either soggy or rock hard, I finally splurged on this Oster. And it’s been worth every penny! I have figured out my perfect toast settings and consistently get good results. My favorite features are the FROZEN and BAGEL settings, that ensure my wide bagels and my son’s frozen waffles always turn out great. And this toaster is much taller/bigger than our other cheapo’s, it sits all mighty on the counter with a beautiful easy to clean finish. For toasters, this one gets two thumbs up and impressed me enough to write a damn review for it! (:
Headline says it all. Another great Warehouse deal! Long slot is amazing for French stick breadThe warehouse has a personal satisfaction rate of about 9/10 so far. A couple of misses but so many great deals! Have a look yourself if you like hunting for bargains, and if it is a dud returns are super easy. Win-win.
Works well, sleek design doesn’t make it look bulky.
This is the second long-slot toaster we have tried in the last couple years and it won by a narrow margin. It sometimes pops waffles right out onto the counter, and I find it still struggles to toast evenly. One side is often darker than the other.

Factors To Consider When Choosing the best Long Slot Toaster

When it comes to toasters, there are many different types and sizes to choose from. So, how do you know which one is right for you? Here are some factors to consider when choosing the best long slot toaster:

Size

Toasters come in all shapes and sizes, so it’s important to choose one that is the right size for your needs. If you are looking for a large toaster that can fit multiple slices of bread at once, then a long slot toaster is an excellent choice.

Conversely, if you are looking for a small toaster that takes up minimal counter space, then a standard or short slot toaster might be a better option.

Material

Long Slot toasters come in a variety of materials. Some are made from metal; some are made from plastic and others are made from a combination of both. It is important to consider the material that the toaster is made from because it will affect how long the toaster lasts.

If you are looking for a durable toaster, then you should choose one that is made from metal. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option, then you should choose one that is made from plastic.

Design

Another factor to consider when choosing a long slot toaster is the design. Some toasters have a sleek design while others have a more traditional design. It is important to consider your personal preferences when deciding on the design of the toaster.

If you are looking for a toaster that will match your kitchen décor, then you should choose one with a sleek design. However, if you are looking for a more traditional toaster, then you should choose one with a traditional design.

Features

Another factor to consider when choosing a long slot toaster is the features that the toaster has. Some toasters have built-in timers while others have automatic shutoffs. It is important to consider what features you need in a toaster before making a purchase.

If you are looking for a toaster with lots of features, then you should choose one with built-in timers and automatic shutoffs. However, if you are looking for a basic toaster, then you should choose one without these features.

Ease of use

Another key factor to consider is how easy the toaster is to use. Some toasters have a lot of buttons and settings, which can be confusing for beginners. If you are not sure what you are doing, it is best to choose a toaster with fewer buttons that are easier to understand.

Brand

Another factor to consider when choosing a long slot toaster is the brand of the toaster. Some brands are more reputable than others. It is important to do your research before making a purchase and decide which brand you want to buy from.

If you are looking for a high-quality toaster, then you should choose a brand that is reputable. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option, then you should choose a brand that is less reputable.

Price

The final factor to consider when choosing a long slot toaster is the price of the toaster. Long slot toasters can range in price from $10 to $200. It is important to consider your budget when deciding on which toaster to purchase.

If you are looking for a high-quality toaster, then you should expect to pay a higher price. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option, then you should expect to pay a lower price.

When considering these factors, keep in mind that the best long slot toaster is ultimately the one that meets your individual needs and preferences. So, take your time and do your research before making a purchase.
