This guide will introduce you to some of the top options on the market and help you decide which one is right for your needs. We will cover everything from the features to look for to the pros and cons of each machine. So, whether you are a home cook or a professional chef, this guide has something for you.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Our Top Picks

What Is Meat Slicer?

meat slicer is a kitchen appliance used to cut thin slices of meat. They are often used in delis and restaurants but can also be found in residential kitchens. Meat slicers vary in size, but most are either counter-top or floor models.

Most meat slicers have a horizontal blade that moves back and forth across a fixed platform. The operator places the meat to be sliced on the platform and pushes it into the blade. This motion causes the blade to slice the meat into thin strips. Some models also have a vertical slicing blade that can be used to create thicker slices of meat.

Meat slicers are typically made from stainless steel or aluminum, which makes them easy to clean. They also come with a variety of safety features, such as a guard to keep hands out of the blade and a stop to prevent the blade from moving when the machine is not in use.

Meat slicers are a convenient way to slice meat for sandwiches, salads, or other dishes. They are also a great way to save time when preparing large quantities of meat.

How Does Meat Slicer Work?

Meat slicers are a staple in many commercial kitchens. But how do they work? What makes them so special? In this article, we’ll take a look at the anatomy of a meat slicer and explain how it works.

Most meat slicers have three main parts: the carriage, the blade, and the motor. The carriage is the base of the machine. It contains a blade and a motor. The blade is attached to a shaft that rotates when the motor is turned on. This allows the blade to slice through meat evenly.

The carriage rides up and down on two metal rails. When you turn on the machine, the carriage moves down towards the blade. The meat is placed between the blade and the carriage, and the machine is turned on. The blade slices through the meat, and the carriage moves back up to its original position.

The benefits of using a meat slicer are numerous. They are fast, efficient, and can slice meat evenly every time. They’re also a great way to reduce waste, since you can buy meat in bulk and slice it yourself. Meat slicers are a must-have for any commercial kitchen.

Why Should You Use Meat Slicer For Bacon?

If you’re looking for the perfect way to slice bacon, a meat slicer is the answer. Here’s why:

  1. A meat slicer provides even slices every time, ensuring that your bacon is uniformly cooked. This is especially important if you’re planning to fry it up crispy!
  2. Meat slicers are fast and efficient, so you can quickly get your bacon slices ready for cooking.
  3. Slicing bacon with a meat slicer is much safer than using a knife. There’s less risk of injury, and it’s much easier to get clean, consistent slices.

So, if you’re looking for the best way to slice your bacon, a meat slicer is definitely the way to go. Enjoy your perfectly cooked bacon slices!

How To Use Meat Slicer For Bacon

A meat slicer can be a great tool for slicing bacon. Here are some tips on how to use a meat slicer for bacon:

  • Start by cutting the bacon into thin strips. This will help them to cook evenly and prevent them from getting too curly.
  • Place the bacon strips in the feed tray of the meat slicer, making sure they are not overlapping.
  • Use the adjustable knob to control the thickness of the slices. For bacon, you will want to go with a thickness of around 1/8 inch.
  • Push the bacon through the blade using the pusher plate. Take care not to touch the blade, as it will be very hot.
  • Once you have sliced all the bacon, you can transfer it to a plate or baking sheet.
  • Cook the bacon in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, or until it is crispy and golden brown.

That’s it! You are now a bacon slicing pro! Enjoy your delicious home cooked bacon slices!

Tips On Using Meat Slicer For Bacon

If you’re looking to make perfect bacon slices every time, a meat slicer is the way to go. Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of your meat slicer when it comes to slicing bacon:

  1. Choose the right blade: When slicing bacon, you will want to use a blade that is specifically designed for ham or bacon. This will help ensure that your bacon slices come out nice and even.
  2. Start slow: When first starting out, it is best to take your time and go slow. This will help you get a feel for how the meat slicer works and prevent any accidents from happening.
  3. Keep the blade wet: To ensure that your bacon does not stick to the blade, keep it wet. This can be done by spraying it with a little cooking oil or water.
  4. Use a cooling rack: Once your bacon slices are done, place them on a cooling rack to avoid them from becoming soggy.

Now that you know how to use a meat slicer for bacon, go ahead and try it out for yourself. The results will speak for themselves.

Factors To Consider When Choosing The Best Meat Slicer For Bacon

When it comes to slicing bacon, you want a machine that is going to do the job quickly and effortlessly. Here are some factors to consider when choosing the best meat slicer for bacon:

  • Type of Bacon: There are different types of bacon available, so you will want to choose a slicer that can handle the thickness of the bacon you plan to use. For example, if you plan to use thick sliced bacon, you will need a slicer with a larger blade.
  • Blade Size: The size of the blade on the slicer is important, as it will determine how thick or thin your slices will be. Most blades range in size from 7-10 inches.
  • Motor Power: The power of the motor on the slicer is also important, as it will determine how quickly and easily the bacon can be sliced. Look for a model with at least 150 watts of power.
  • Safety Features: Safety features are important on any slicer, but especially when dealing with bacon. Make sure the slicer you choose has a blade guard and a stable base.

When choosing the best meat slicer for bacon, these are some of the factors you will want to consider. Remember, not all slicers are created equal, so make sure to do your research before making a purchase.

Very nice. It works just as it should. There has been now problems.
Simple to use, light weight, perfect for apartment use. I had to choose between this and the the Beswood 10″ Premium Chromium-plated Carbon Steel Blade Electric Deli Meat Cheese Food Slicer. Due to its price I bought the Chef’s Choice slicer. It is a bit small and light weight. I have used it and and it works really good. Slicing a 10 lb turkey, the machine has a bit difficulty cutting very thin slices. you need to push down hard enough to make enough contact between the blade and the pushing tray. It did the job but I was not convinced its worth. I ordered the Beswood 10 the next day to compare. Though the Beswood 10 costs twice as much, it also performs much better. Since I don’t have storage problem in my kitchen, I keep the Beswood and return the Chef’s Choice. I want to say the Chef’s Choice is an excellent machine. My decision was more of a personal preference. I like the Beswood due it its weight and ease on pressing down the meat as you slice. If you live in a small apartment and you need to tuck away your appliances, the Chef’s Choice would be the perfect machine to own.
Decent slicer for the price; get 4 yr warranty. I bought and tested 3 of the more affordable deli slicers. This Chef’s Choice unit model 615a, the OSTBA (ASIN B07S5R3HHVyy) also sold on Amazon, and the Weston Meat SlicerItem 1469157 sold by Costco.I am replacing the Chef’s Choice model 607 (discontinued?) which I bought 3.5 years ago on Amazon. The plastic hub onto which the blade screws broke and was not easily repairable. The two units that were not chefs choice were also not properly cleanable. There are parts the food touches (particularly the guide plate) that you can’t remove for cleaning, as well as crevices where food particles might hide. I felt it was a food safety issue. This chefs choice unit disassembles in more places the food touches so you can properly clean and sanitize it.While this Chef’s Choice unit still has many plastic parts that are a build quality issue that might eventually lead to breakage, for the price (plus adding on the 4 year extended warranty), I still feel it is worth it.In addition, there are several improvements with this model vs model I bought in 2020. The blade is more fully covered to protect your fingers (the one I had looks different then the one currently pictured, I wonder if they made some changes but kept the model number. I have already trashed my old one so I can’t post pictures), the underside is a solid piece which might keep food off the countertop better.
Convenient and easy slicer. Product works as described. Excellent for slicing cooked foods such as roast beef. Much easier to clean than other systems as the meat falls directly behind the blade into the included tray.
Great slicer. This is a great slicer for the money. So far I’ve used on about 10 lbs of jerky meat, and 5 lbs of homemade bacon. Pretty quiet and slices quickly and evenly. Setting 5 for jerky and setting 4 for bacon was perfect thickness for us. Cleanup doesn’t take long. I also ordered a non-serrated blade, but the serrated one cuts just fine so haven’t put on the smooth one yet. I’m happy with my purchase.
great appliance. They gave easy access to the controls, especially the power switch. Great unit for the price.
Makes Slicing A Breeze. I bought this to slice the charcuterie I make. What a difference it makes. It is not an industrial slicer but for the amount of times I use it it is perfect. For large parties I can cut up tomatoes the thickness I want in no time. Uncooked meats slice better if they are put in the freezer to firm up but not frozen. You get consistent slices every time as long as you don’t push hard and try and to force the food through fast. Cleaning is very easy. Like everything if you take care of these items they should last a long time,
Meat wraps around the drive gear smothered in lubrication. I bought this meat slicer after arduous long research to make organic jerky treats for my dogs with a dehydrator since pet treats prices have been going up insanely. Initially, the meat slicer seemed to work well but at the end of slicing, I noticed that some meat got stuck between the blade that I had to pull out. When I detached the blade for cleaning, I was horrified to see that the plastic drive gear underneath was wrapped around with raw beef and the meat I pulled out was probably tainted with lubrication that looked like blobs of white shortening. The entire saw base plate was a huge mess with meat fragments and blood combined with the lubrication that’s hopefully food safe for the contaminated meat slices but the manual only mentions using Vaseline for plate lubrication and no extra lub was supplied. I used wooden toothpicks to pick out all the meat fragments from the gear slots and checked the reviews to see if anyone else reported the problem with meat getting lodged behind the saw blade. Since nothing came up for meat wrapping on the gear, I tried again with thicker cuts and tried grabbing each meat slice as they were coming out the back through the slice deflector, but some meat still managed to get caught into the blade, again making a mess. I also noticed the edge of the blade support paint was ground down from the back side of the saw blade exposing the base metal from cutting a few pounds of meat that 1st day I received the unit. Whether this particular slicer was a lemon or not, I couldn’t imagine keeping it and dealing with the bloody unsanitary mess. I sent it back for a refund that day. I’ve since resorted to slicing half frozen meat by hand and realized that it is actually much quicker than using a meat slicer including the cleanup, and my dogs absolutely love homemade jerkies.
muy satisfecho con la compra, tamaño para el uso en casa y uso familiar esta muy bien, incluso me atrevería a decir que es útil sin problema para un negocio pequeño, como una tienda
I’ve been using the Chef’s Choice 615A Electric Meat Slicer for a few months now, and it has completely changed the way I prepare meals for my family. I find myself using it multiple times a day – it’s that useful! It’s great for quickly slicing cabbage, cucumbers, and carrots for coleslaw, and it makes it easy to salt cure pork and slice it thin for charcuterie. I’ve also used it to turn roast beef and pork into sandwich meat in seconds, and it’s perfect for slicing bread and cheese to any thickness. One of the things I love most about this slicer is how easy it is to clean. All of the major moving parts can be easily removed and washed in the sink. As a pro tip, I’d recommend purchasing the circular blade option for better micro-thin slicing of softer foods, and be sure to wear cut-proof gloves while using the slicer to stay safe. You may also want to invest in some food grade grease to keep the blade lubricated in certain parts – the unit comes pre-lubricated, but after multiple cleanings you will need to lubricate one or two points. Don’t worry, this takes all of 10 seconds every 4-5 cleanings. One thing to note is that the Chef’s Choice 615A is made of a mix of heavy plastic and metal, which makes it sturdier and quieter than many budget slicers on the market. The blade is also extremely sharp and can slice most anything paper thin.Overall, I highly recommend the Chef’s Choice 615A Electric Meat Slicer. It’s a great value for the price, sitting somewhere between budget slicers ($100) and professional belt-driven slicers ($700). It’s a kitchen gadget that you’ll use practically every day, and it will eventually pay for itself as it makes it so much easier and more cost-effective to prepare meals at home.
It was a beautiful product unfortunately the UK power voltage doesn’t compete with it, so I have to make the return. The seller has one of the best e-commerce customer service I have ever seen. Very supportive and very professional!
I like how thin it cuts the meats. Just do NOT try cutting through thick bones as this unit is NOT designed for that. It cleans up nice and easy too. Perfect for slicing hams, bacon etc.

In addition to testing this kitchen equipment on meats, we also evaluated it on bread, cheese, and vegetables. And trust me, it did an excellent job of slicing.

The device also includes a food carriage and a food pusher for transporting and storing sliced meat within the machine.Due to the carriage’s size, I could slice my large hams for roasting (yay) quickly.

The slicer you wish you had bought years ago. Facing 50# of venison product needing to be sliced I went with this slicer based on a recommendation from a forum. It is much less that the comparable LEM product and has overall good reviews.Setup is an absolute breeze even with an initial cleaning and lubrication. I’m not sure the lubrication was absolutely needed right out of the box, but better safe than sorry.Time from unpacking to slicing: <30 minutes.Performance was better than expected. The belt drive results in a much quieter and smoother slicer than my previous slicer which was geared. Initial cuts were with venison bacon which is a ground/formed product. It was refrigerated prior to slicing and pretty firm. Slices at the 3 setting were perfect for thick cut style bacon and there was little to no tearing noted which indicates the blade was sharp upon arrival. At the other end of the spectrum, I set up for 1.5mm thick slices of venison mortadella. This was also refrigerated but much more prone to tearing. The slicer breezed through the mortadella without any tear out except for the final slice or two when the meat was not well supported by the tray. I gave block of smoked cheese, and two sticks of summer sausage a try as well. The slicer performed admirably on all foodstuffs I fed it.Cleanup was also easier than expected. 99% of the cleanup can be done by removing three (3) knobs. A few of mine came overly tight from the factory, but that is an easy remedy and I was able to remove everything without an overt struggle. Overall time to clean up the first time was between 15-20 minutes and I imagine it will go faster in the future. The only con/complaint I have with the entire unit is the stoke could be ideally 1″ longer. It’s just a bit too short for all the work I asked of it. An aftermarket longer tray would be a really nice accessory to offer as well.Overall it is well worth the cost and a 5-star rating. Expecting many years of service from this slicer.
Initial thoughts on first use and cleaning. Purchased the 250 model.Overall I like the machine and what it does, it could use some design changes to make it more user friendly.Inspected after arriving, read instructions, disassembled and cleaned it. Reassembled to test it out on some smoked turkey breast. I really like the adjustment on the thickness dial, it’s easy to use and makes some very thin slices if that’s what you are after. The instructions are decent. It took a bit to figure out a few of the steps, but after reading and paws on the machine it becomes clear. It’s a heavy machine meaning with a heavy product you slice it stays put and doesn’t slide or rock when slicing, it is very stable. It is also quiet and worked very well slicing up 4 turkey breasts. (I’d rather smoke and slice up our own than buy the processed chemical/preservative infused crap anyway) Thais machine allows you to do that very easily. When using, if you keep your left hand down where the slices peel out, catching them before they get sucked between the blade and the blade guard will prevent messes and lost food. If the meat gets stuck in there the blade has the tendency to fling it all over or ball it up behind the blade. That balled up debris leads me to the next item. Two areas that could use improvement are the breakdown of the blade guard at the bottom. It is a process to get to the screws that hold that on and should be made easier to access and undo. A simple qtr turn knob located above the frame, could save a lot of time and broken plastic covers underneath the machine. To access them now, you need to remove a cover beneath the machine. This means removing three screws and undoing two of the feet. The cover comes off and there are two nuts holding the blade guard on that need to be removed. Not an easy or quick process. Not doing this leaves food trapped behind the blade guard. Two keyed standoffs with flats could be used to remove the guard from above and leave all that below stuff out of that process. Trying to fit a cloth, brush or anything else between the blade and the guard will result in cutting up what ever you slip in, or damaging your blade edge leading to more sharpening and wear. The second area that needs a redesign is the sharpening stone head. It isn’t easy to get that aligned square to the blade surface. If this isn’t square to the blade you will end up messing up the edge. If the shaft that slides into the mounting portion had a keyed slot and a key was machined into the shaft, it would be square each time it is reinstalled. At that point your only worry is the height of the stones on the edge. This would eliminate some variables leading to a bad knife edge.
Out of the box I’m impressed. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos on this slicer before I pulled the trigger and ordered itI just got done slicing up 2 beef bottom rounds to make jerkyLeft them fairly frozen, sliced like butter, paper thinMachine worked flawlessly and clean up was pretty straightened.I think the people complaining about how difficult clean up is must be overthinking things here. It’s really not that difficult.Looks and feels like a pretty solid machine for the money. Only two things that can potentially fail in my eyes are the motor and the on/off switch. Both of which I’m SURE you can source if you’re handy like that. All in all Everything else seems to be built pretty wellThe big selling point in this unit from what I take away after countless hours researching is the Italian made blade.I’ll update my review as time goes on but after the first initial use after receiving it today I’m pretty impressed and happy with my purchase so far!
This is a truly professional product. Very solidly built, easy to use & clean. Feels like it will last generations.
Funciona muy bien
Amazing work perfect
More than pleased with product, razor thin slicing like butter 🙂
Easy to use, can slice thick to paper thin.

You desire a high-end meat slicer that can compete with industrial slicers. Consider the BESWOOD 10″ Premium Chromium-Plated Electric Meat Cutter.

Nonetheless, this meat slicer appears to be somewhat heavier than the other brands I’ve reviewed thus far. Aluminum and stainless steel coat the meat slicer for durability and longevity. You can easily thinly slice your meat. Additionally, the slicer can easily cut semi-frozen meat to the desired thickness.

I adore the sturdy construction. The stainless steel blade has a chromium coating. Thus, the blade is robust, resilient, and long-lasting. Numerous Amazon customers reported that they had not sharpened their blades since purchase. The meat slicer’s V-shaped feeding belly allows it to operate quietly while vibrating softly.

And if you intend to slice large portions of meat, the BESWOOD 10″ Premium Chromium-Plated Electric Meat Slicer has a large blade to meet your needs. Although the blade does not require frequent sharpening, it does require occasional cleaning. Nevertheless, removing the blade may require some effort.

Key Features
  • Premium Chromium-plated Steel Blade with protection against corrosion
  • There is no need to sharpen the blade frequently
  • Double Illuminated ON/OFF Switch 24V to avoid power shock for best protection
  • Slicing meat, cheese, veggies, ham, fruit precisely
  • USA standard approved: ETL, NSF
PROS
  • Great for commercial purpose
  • Excellent build quality
  • Great for heavy-duty purpose
CONS
  • Difficulty in removing the blade

Overall a good product. So I originally bought this because I eat entirely too many cold cuts from the deli. I drive for a living and sandwiches/ wraps are the easiest to eat while driving, and fast food sucks so I make my lunches at home before I leave. Processed deli meat has a lot of preservatives and sodium so my intention was to just cook chicken breast/ pork tenderloin/ turkey at the house and slice it myself. This product does the trick pretty well. The blade does not spin anywhere near as fast as I thought it would as I’ve used professional equipment before and kind of expected that but it does slice through cooked meat beautifully. Other people said the noise is kind of loud, I don’t think it’s that bad at all. It came with a serrated blade however for $20 I was able to buy a non serrated blade from the company.Cleaning this is not horribly difficult. Including the blade, four pieces come off super easy and can be tossed into a sink full of soapy water. The blade is not sharp enough to take your finger off if you reach into the sink and grab it, which I kind of wished it was but for home use is probably safer than it isn’t. It is still a fine enough edge to cut through the meat and definitely bread but your fingers will be safe in the dishwater. The rest of the machine can be wiped down with a damp rag. Little scraps of meat do tend to be all over it when I’m done however wiping down the counter half of your done cleaning the slicer isn’t too difficult either.Did notice as others have mentioned there are a couple of places, little tiny areas that little bits of meat could get into and getting that cleaned out for health purposes is important. My solution was to grab an extra toothbrush the next time I was at the store. Get a nasty color handle that nobody wants and leave it in the kitchen near the sink. It works beautifully to get into those little areas and dislodge anything that is stuck there. ( Hmmm, kind of like what a toothbrush is designed for 🤔)So yes overall I believe this is worth the money I paid and considering a pound of sliced chicken breast at the deli can cost about $8, and a pound of chicken breast that I cook here at home cost me about $2, this will pay for itself in a couple months.
Great to slice frozen meat. This new meat slicer is an improvement over my previous one, which broke months ago. It’s easy to assemble, and I primarily use it to slice frozen meat for hot pot. It works like a charm. The only challenge I face is cleaning after use. It’s a bit challenging to clean the residual meat around the blade and in between the parts.
Perfect for Jerky. We’ve gotten into making homemade jerky to avoid all the price hikes & pesky additives. This is the only thing we’ve used it for, but it’s easy to use, clean, and does an awesome job with quick and consistent cuts! It’s a little loud, but no big deal. We love the safety features and smaller size for storage.
Does what it says. When something is good, I prefer to get the bad out first. So, you can see my rating here, but I’m still docking it a tiny bit for “ease of cleaning”. There’s a small hole near the bottom left of where the blade is seated, looking at the appliance, that I can find no way of cleaning out without a screwdriver. I doubt it’s going to be a huge problem but a piece of meat did fall in there. Bad for bacteria growth. Otherwise, this thing is quite easy to get clean. The blade, pusher, guide rod and platform all come off without any tools. The back is easy enough to clean with soap and water or a disinfectant wipe.So what’s good? Just about everything. First off, the price is beyond reasonable. I thought I’d have to drop a few hundred on a deli slicer, but that’s simply not true. $100 or so for something rated so well,I had to get it. It’s definitely a great value. Now, keep in mind, 7.5″ blade is a lot smaller than what you see at the deli. You’re gonna be a bit limited here. That said, a little creative cutting will make the vast majority of stuff manageable with this blade. This is still a great value at this price.Next, the blade: seriously don’t touch it. It comes nearly razor-sharp, and with the serrations will likely last me a few years before I need to take it in to get it sharpened professionally. The sharpness is a key factor in the next bit and the reason I wanted one in the first place: thin cut meat.So you’re looking at this because you want that paper-thin deli meat, as I was, right? Yeah, you’re getting that here. I ended up dialing the thickness up a bit because what I used it for first was jerky. I wanted nice thin planes of meat to dehydrate. Yeah, I tired it on a thinner setting, paper thin in fact, and that just doesn’t work. The meat falls out the back into a crumpled mess that will never pick up enough marinade! It does this job too well for jerky, but cooked meats? Oh you better believe I’m going to be making a beef roast and slicing it up with this, and soon. Arby’s got nothing on the thinness I’m going to go for. Now, I’ve seen people whimpering about the volume of this sucker. I was going “of course it’s loud, you peanuts! It’s basically a circular saw that cuts delicious meat!”I was wrong. They were more wrong. It’s quieter than a food processor! I suck with decibels, but, what, ten db quieter? I wouldn’t run it with a sleeping baby on the room, but it’s better than running a blender. This does, however, mean the blade spins far slower than I thought. I expected this to be a problem, but with nice freezer-chilled meat? Not so much. Fat, though… Watch out for the fat cap on a good roast. It’s a good way to get rid of the fat at the ends, but it does not like the white stuff.Overall, I’d say it does a great job. If you need super thin meat or cheese, this is absolutely the way to go. I won’t say it’s going to save you money, but it’s way more convenient than asking the butcher to cut things up thin for you.

The adjustable thickness settings on the Weston 9-inch meat slicer range from deli-thin (for shaved cold cuts) to over half an inch (for steaks and chops). The stainless-steel blade measuring 9 inches (8 5/8 inches) is easily removable for cleaning. Feet with suction cups for stability.

Belt-driven motor. Strong 150-watt motor (120 Volts, 60 Hz). Heavy-duty aluminum anodization construction. A tray that tilts out for cleaning. Do not continuously operate the appliance for more than 15 minutes. Before resuming operation, allow the device to cool for 30 to 60 minutes.

The Electric Meat Slicer from Weston is as compact as it gets. This meat slicer measures 10 x 17 x 12 inches and weighs less than 13 pounds.

It makes up for what it may lack in size with its capabilities. The six-inch blade creates thin slices of meat. This is excellent news for bacon, ham, and fish lovers.

In addition, you will be impressed by how effortlessly the meat slides from the tray to the blade. This food slicer demonstrates how compactness and functionality can coexist.

Key Features
  • Powerful with stainless steel 9″ serrated rotary blade powered by a 200-watt belt-driven motor
  • Easily adjust slicing thickness from deli thin to more than .5 inches (1.3 cm)
  • Tilting action makes it easier to remove the blade, and the food pusher is top-rack dishwasher safe
  • Great for hunters, farmers, small retail butchers and anyone who buys food in bulk
PROS
  • Suction cup feet for sturdiness
  • Really quiet motor
  • Easy to understand thickness control
CONS
  • With such a large blade, I expected the carriage the meat sits on to be bigger
  • It wasn’t great at super thin slices (size 5 and bigger were fine, though)

4. VEVOR Commercial Meat Slicer

VEVOR Commercial Meat Slicer, 10 inch Electric Food Slicer, 240W Frozen Meat Deli Slicer, Premium Chromium-plated Steel Blade Semi-Auto Meat Slicer For Commercial and Home use

The food slicer machine is made of cast aluminum, and the 10-inch-diameter blade is constructed of chromium-plated steel. The blade’s sharp edge allows for quick slicing of meat. The grooved cutting surface successfully prevents the meat from adhering to the blade.

It is equipped with an adjustable thickness knob that gives you complete control over the thickness of your product from 0 to 12 mm/0.047 to 0.47 inches. Our meat slicer machine allows you to slice efficiently and with the desired degree of precision.

The blade of an electric meat slicer rotates at 1400RPM thanks to a motor with 240 watts of input power and a speed of 1400RPM. It allows you to slice 50 food items per minute, saving you a great deal of time and effort.

The concealed sharpening stones are convenient for sharpening the blade. The security shield can prevent unanticipated incidents. The food pusher is designed to hold the sliced food firmly on the plate. The watertight on/off switch is user-friendly. The skidproof rubber feet are designed for regular use.

By unscrewing the knobs or screws, the blade and the security baffle are easily removable. With this design, you can quickly and separately clean each component.

Ideal for slicing meat, deli, cheese, roast beef, turkey breast, vegetables, fruits, etc. Suitable for both residential and industrial use.

Love this slicer. My KWS slicer is nothing short of fantastic. I got the Teflon blade because I slice a lot of cheese. I slice meat and cheese at least once a week in my home. I have diabetes and a heart condition so I really have to watch my diet. There are few ready made diet programs good for both kinds of conditions. You have to keep an eye on both fat intake and carbs. As a result keeping track of portioning is very important. The ability to slice meats cheese and other products with great consistency makes computing dietary intake very easy. You need the ability to slice thin or thick as you need to help make things easier. This slicer cuts from paper thin, literally see through slices, to very thick. I burned up a smaller slicer in less than six months. In that one from the beginning I could hear it slow down when slicing cheese. What few of the manufacturers tell you is that most of these machines are not meant to slice cheese. The Teflon blade has no problem handling cheese and is the only slicer I found in this price range that actually says it can slice cheese. (This model with just the stainless steel blade is not rated for cheese slicing) Even large cheese loaves are sliced easily. Clean up is pretty easy with this machine. It’s a bit trickier than with the smaller machines but that’s because the safety guard and screw system are heavier than the smaller machines. Once you try it a couple of times it’s really pretty easy. One important point, and it’s brought up in both the written manual provided with the machine and in the KWS video on how to clean your slicer, it’s most important to wear cut resistant gloves when cleaning this slicer. The blade is very, very sharp. This machine arrived ahead of the promised date, and the packaging was very good. The construction is excellent. The first time I removed the blade for cleaning I had some difficulty removing the three Philips head screws. Luckily my son had a wrench that fit into the square hole in the blade shaft. ALL the screws are tightened very well. No problems with any of them coming loose. The slicer is quiet when in operation, and the controls are all in logical places. Easy to see and use. The tray is big enough for anything I have tried so far. The slices are all uniform and the blade cuts completely through the meat or cheese without any uncut edges that formed a flap like protrusion that was left after some cuts when I used my last slicer. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a good slicer with a very reasonable price.
Works Great. The media could not be loaded.  This is a quality meat slicer, super sturdy and well built. Slices through meat smoothly and easily (video is from the very first time we used it, so we were a little slow). Cleaning is a little bit of a pain because you have to unscrew the machine to take the blade off, but I think worth it because it means a sturdy and safe machine. 100% recommend purchasing cut proof gloves to wear when taking apart! I read a lot of reviews of different slicers before purchasing and others recommend to avoid a slicer with a serrated blade (because it means a weak motor) and I’m glad I did! I would recommend this product if you’re looking for a meat slicer.
Great for entry level commercial operations, and even better for hardcore home users. So, I’ve worked in a lot pf restaurants, and I’ve had experience with a lot of machines. I can tell you that this machine is virtually identical in quality and construction to the more “value” models that restaurants buy when it’s a limited use prroduct. In other words, a full service deli would want a better machine, but they’d be up around a grand. Machines like this generally go for between $500 and $650.PROS: This unit can cut through most anything you throw at it, though very large frozen meats will take some time. I have cut frozen beef tenderloin and frozen pork loins with it, and it did fine. Because this is a true upgrade from a home model, you’ll notice some differences. It’s heavy. The jaws lock in certain positions because they are lined with sharp spikes and you can’t have them floping around. The slide arm will not move as smoothly as a Hobart, but you’re paying half the price for a unit that will do all the same stuff, maybe a little slower. I’ve owned two of the “home” slicers, and they don’t begin to compare.CONS: It’s not a $1500 Hobart like you might see at the grocery store. It won’t run on automatic, and it won’t be as fast with sticky cheeses. It will slice exceedingly thin slices, but you have to be careful that they don’t get pulled back into the blade. Home units ARE designed to be easier to clean. Many of the attributes that make them easy to clean also reduce their effetiveness against big meats, particularly when frozen. The disassembly isn’t bad, but there is no special tool for blade removal. I would invest in some cutting gloves. Probably get one of the chain-mail type. You’ll have to loosen the big knobs, remove the blade conver, and then unscrew and remove the blade if you want to get everything clean. This is true of all commercial slicers. The whole process, with cleaning takes about 5 minutes. Conclusion: If you want to slice a little meat or cheese here and there, you are probably better off with a smaller home model. They are light, easy to clean, and can do a great job on small tasks. But if you want to cut frozen meats, (necessary to get the thin slices necessary for Banh Mi and other asian dishes), and you have been frustrated by the limitations of the little ones, this is a great buy. Dollar for dollar, you won’t get this much machine for this price anywhere else that I’ve seen. Their website is hard to find, because it’s really for Asian markets, but it’s there if you look. This company makes BIG machines for heavy industrial food production. (Tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars). If I were opening a restaurant, I might spend a little more. But for someone who butchers meat and finds uses for the slicer 2 or 3 times a week, I couldn’t be happier.
Nous l adorons, pas bruyant, tranche à la merveille !
Works very well

The KWS meat slicer is designed for both small-scale commercial and domestic applications. This means that you receive more power than you would expect from a home computer.

Additionally, there is less noise than with many commercial models. This model is on the heavier side, weighing about 37 pounds. It measures 20 by 18 inches.

This machine is constructed from stainless steel with an aluminum alloy base, except for the plastic pusher piece and various knobs and bolt covers.

The blade is ten inches long and Teflon-coated stainless steel. The blade’s cutting capacity ranges from 0 to 10 mm. Attached to the housing are two whetstones that are ideal for sharpening the blade and cannot be misplaced.

Using the pull knob beneath the tray, the entire platform tray assembly can be easily removed. This enables effective cleaning with minimal effort.

The blade is also removable, and replacement blades are available for purchase if necessary. The machine’s on/off switch is waterproof, and the machine’s tiny rubber feet are slip-resistant. This machine is of average size and weight, and its motor is surprisingly potent.

  • 10” Premium Stainless Steel Blade / Teflon Blade

Great for home use. My item arrived within two business days using Amazon prime. It was in excellent condition and ready for use. I recommend that everyone read the entire manual front to back to understand how to use the appliance properly (even if you have used a food slicer in the past). Every make and model are different. This slicer works great for slicing meats, cheeses and bread. It also cut pretty uniform slices which is nice to have. It is a home slicer and because it is for home use it is not as powerful as the ones used in a commercial setting. Please keep that in mind during usage and take your time.I will be honest and say that this unit is light years ahead of other models that I have tried. I tried another brand the day before just to slice cheese and lunch meat and had to return it to the store from it smoking and make rejection noises. This slicer can handle whatever you throw at it but you have to work with it. I am so happy to finally be able to slice my own everything and for the savings that come along with it!Tips:Throughly clean your unit. If you see black smudges on your food take the blade off and re-clean your unit (around the housing where the blade is kept). The black smudges come from the lubricant oil.Make sure that all meats and cheeses are cold or chilled.Allow the unit to cool down after 10 minutes of usage per the manual. When cleaning I also noticed that food gets stuck under the knob that turns for width adjustment. In order the clean it use a butter knife to remove debris. Use the butter knife under the knob and push through to the opposite side.A small wooden brush (one used for basting) is great for cleaning debris under the blade and unit as well.Hope that helps! If this review was helpful please say so below and thank you.
Slices nice. I recently purchased a canister to make homemade lunch meat and realized I needed something to slice it with. I found this and I love it 💓 works great for meats and cheeses. Also is awesome for slicing veggies! Really good quality. So far we’re really loving it!
I can understand the frustration but it seems like so many are rating this product off of what. So I gave it 4 stars.First, for those reviewing this with 1-star ratings. I can understand the frustration but it seems like so many are rating this product off of what it can’t do versus what it can. If you’re looking for a deli-style slicer for paper thin cuts with almost no work to it, yes, this product is not for you. There’s a reason commercial slivers cost so much. Ultra thin and well crafted blades with high rpms don’t come cheap. For all the reviewers giving this 5 stars, this really is t as great as everyone makes it out to be. There are some serious design flaws and it takes some work and toying with to get the hang of this product.Pros:(1) will slide better than a knife and more consistent than a mandolin.(2) fairly easy to operate. Cleaning didn’t seem too bad. You can’t put this or any parts in the dishwasher, which is a drawback for home users, but cleaning it didn’t make me feel like it was the end of the world.(3) it will cut near paper thing slices if you handle it the right way(4) slices bread in consistent sized slices. I like that this can act not only as a meat and cheese slicer, but also a bread slicer for my fresh baked loaves(5) does really save you money if you buy deli meats in bulk or cure your own deli meats. And the size is not too bad for a slicer. Fairly small and easily storable. It’s also very light in weight.Cons:(1) major design flaws. The adjustment knob itself seems fine, but the backing where the object to cut slides it weak. It does move during slicing(2) I don’t like the plastic handgaurd. It feels a bit flimsy(3) for something that is only 150w, I feel like inly being able to run it for 10 minutes is a bit frustrating, especially if you have a ton to slice. I understand the nature of the engineering behind it, but for a home – based kitchen appliance one would expect to be able to not have to let the thing “cool off” with such a low wattage rating. This tells me the engineering is not that well thought out.(4) the blade does operate at a low rpm. I suppose it’s not the end of the world for a home product, but i feel like they could have designed this a bit better with a higher rpmSuggestions for use:(1) for anything that it cut, if you want consistent sized slices, I would put the object of slicing a little higher. I know this could become a safety issue, so just think while you slice, and keep in mind you have a blade nearby. I’ve been using about 1/2 in- 1in off the bottom. It definitely yields better and more consistent cuts. I also don’t have anything get stuck in the blade.(2) for paper thin slices, you really need to set this almost near size 0. By following the first suggestion, it’ll get you there. It won’t be consistent, but at least you’ll be close enough to be happy(3) don’t press too hard on the hand guard. I feel like this is one issue that led me to inconsistent slicing.(4) don’t go fast. Doing so will certainly ensure uneven and inconsistent slices. The instructions even direct you to operate slowly. But obviously don’t slice, stop, slice, stop midway. You want one smooth slow pass. This will also get you thereOverall, this is a home kitchen product which is why I did give it a 4 star rating. If this were sold to me as a commercial product, I certainly would be complaining. Heck, the box even specifies to only use this in a home kitchen. If you’re looking to leave your deli and move to home cured or bulk deli meats, then this will get you there. But it does require some playing around with. Don’t expect to open this, shove a hunk of meat on it and expect high quality slices. Just like any non-commercial kitchen product, there will be inconsistencies. But for under $70, I think the quality of the product matches with the price well. You just have to learn how to use it the right way for everything you use it for. I’ve found different speeds of my hand moving and heights really make a difference based on the type of food being sliced.. I know most of us want these things to be intuitive and easy to use, but what can you expect for a kitchen product for less than $100? It does what it needs to do when used in the correct way for each type of food. With all that said, certainly worth the investment so far. I’ll give updates if anything changes.
Must buy. So easy to use and clean. Bought this for a Christmas gift for my husband and he loves it.
ease of lnstalation. works great
Not a meat slicer. This is a low duty, glorified cheese slicer. I bought this to cut meat into thin strips to make jerky. Because… you know… it’s a “meat slicer.” Total fail. Reading the directions, they tell you to “chill” your cheese prior to slicing for a better slice. What? It isn’t even good a slicing cheese? What’s the point of the device? I didn’t buy a meat slicer to slice cold cheese and cucumbers. Total waste of my time and money.
Doesn’t slice meat very thin. This item was good for cutting any items such as fruit or veggies, but when it came to meat (our primary slicing need), it mostly just was too slow to thinly slice, and would just move the meat around.
low cost but works great for home. wife read alot of reviews and she said this was the one to purchase. it works really well and is easy to clean. its a home version so it is good for small jobs, but i am really pleased that it works really well.
Works great, clean up is easy wish the base was a bit smaller but it is what it is.

Great slicer. I purchased this as a gift for someone. He uses it often (at least weekly) and is very pleased with the various thicknesses of meat he can obtain. It is easy to use and to clean. So far it has held up well—no problems. I have a smaller model which he has liked using in the past, but he loves the 665 model! Well worth the price.
The slicing controls are good. And. I tried two of these. Both dies on me within a 60 days. Very frustrating. The motor is underpowered. You can hear the motor slow and strain when cutting roast beef, turkey, salami, and cheese..The slicing controls are good. And, it was easy to clean and maintain. But, I do not recommend purchasing this product. (Note: I rarely write negative reviews.
Very good slicer however. The media could not be loaded.  The slicer works very well on many types of food; cooked meat, raw meat, bread, cheese etcetera and dismantles very easy for thorough cleaning. Less than 3 minutes to fully clean. Do not know why there are negative reviews unless they were from people who did not read the manual carefully. This model (665) also has the largest thickness range I’ve seen in a personal slicer; from paper thin to 1″ thick so cutting steaks/chops from a full loin is easily done. One draw back is the limited availability of spare parts, ie spare blade, suitable sharpening system, nylon washers, spacers, gears etcetera. I’ve contacted Chefs Choice/Edge Craft to no avail. If these items were available I would have given 5 stars.
Consistent Quality Slices, Every Time. The media could not be loaded.  I love making homemade Jerky and this electric slicer is exactly what I needed to process large batches of venison or beef with the consistency I want for the dehydrator. The slicer operation is very simple. Adjust the knob to the desired thickness (the knob is numbered but I cannot find any documentation on what measurement the numbers translate to). Place the meat on the sliding table. Turn on the blade, and use the slide the table while using the pusher to feed the meat into the blade.Clean up is a little bit more work. You’ll need a pen and a quarter on hand. The pen needs to be inserted in the blade cover and turned to expose the blade housing. The quarter is used to turn the screw that will release the blade. I use  NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves – High Performance Level 5 Protection, Food Grade. Size Medium  when handling the blade because it is very sharp. I would also recommend having  (2 Pack) Petrol Gel Food Grade Equipment LubricantNSF (2/4 oz. Tube)  on hand during the cleaning process so you can keep the gears lubed while you have the parts exposed. This slicer was a bit of a luxury purchase. But if you make a lot of jerky, it does save a lot of time. The quality of the consistency for the slices is also much better than I could produce by hand (which is very important for dehydrating). Overall, I have gotten a lot of use from this slicer and enjoy it.
Thickness Changes. Pro: the motor cut nicely through frozen pork belly being cut into bacon stripsCon: the tray meant for catching what you are slicing doesn’t sit where it needs to in order to catch what you are slicing. The motor casing is in the way, therefore the tray placement is a waste of placement.Con: the rubber feet did not work at all in preventing the slicer from sliding all over the place when I was trying to slice meat which was on top of my flat surface stove and on my counter top.Con: the dial does not stay in place, therefore changing the thickness as you go. I sliced a stick of pepperoni and had to keep putting the dial back to where I wanted it. When I was done, I counted out the same number of slices to place into a vacuum seal bag and every pile was a different height due to the uneven cuts.I have decided that I will be returning this.
great slicer. disassembles for cleaning, unlike my previous name brand, and good power.
Great for the serious home cook. A great slicer for home use. This slicer is very easy to use and has plenty of power for the average person. It is light enough to move around and store easily and runs quietly. Powerful enough for most homeowners and maybe even light commercial use.Cleaning is not hard at all and takes about 20 minutes to do properly.
Plastic drive hub broke after 11 months of light usage. The Chef’s Choice model 665 was efficient and easy to use for the 12 loaves of sour dough bread to slice. After the last loaf, in disassembling the blade , I found the plastic drive hub broken. I emailed EdgeCraft using their online contact for replacement parts. They have not responded. I am very disappointed in the model 665 and the EdgeCraft customer service.
Product is everything they said it would be. We gave had it for 2 week and use several times a day and it fantastic. Wish we bought this year’s ago
did not mention that it is only 120voltage had to buy a step down unit and replace a blown fuse
This product works exactly as advertised, it can reproduce some of your local deli cuts….including shaved product, or paper thin proscuitto! Non deli meat is best partially frozen when thin slices are required….otherwise this meat slicer handles thicker slices with ease. The clean up is also very quick and easy…..overall, it is a pleasure to use this product.
For a home use meat slicer I give this one top marks. The picture I provided is a chunk of Alder smoked ham I shaved on the thinnest setting. The control knob for thickness setting stayed set the entire time unlike another popular brand that had this as a common complaint. The slicer never bogged down or got hot and it took some time to slice that chunk of ham as it was a huge piece. The blade is razor sharp so be very careful removing it for cleaning I won’t include a picture of the bandaid on my finger. I marked it easy to clean – no meat slicer is easy to clean but the blade comes of easily so I gave it top marks for this reason. Received item from seller within 3 days of order, very impressed.
We used it twice, then it stopped working. It was so hard to clean all the components. I’m very disappointed spending so much thinking I got a better quality product.

The cantilever design transports sliced food directly to large trays or platters, making it simple to clean. The blade, blade cover, food carriage, food pusher, food deflector, and thickness guide plate are all easily removable for cleaning.

The large food carriage retracts completely to allow the slicing of extra-large roasts, hams, and other foods. When the unit is not in use, a special button locks the food carriage in the “lock” position to restrict access to the blade—a convenient external fuse for overload protection. A serving tray is provided.

A fantastic home slicer. This slicer is highly user-friendly and has sufficient power for the average person. It is portable and easy to store, and it operates quietly. Strong enough for most homeowners and possibly even light commercial use. Proper cleaning is not difficult and takes about 20 minutes.

Better than Expected. Very nice, and very sharp! It gets the job done! Great quality for the price!
Great buy. Works great and is very easy clean was impressed for the price
Stable meat slicer. The slicer comes with suction feet that hold steady. The slices fall off but the location of the thickness control is too close to where the slices land. Very easy to use, not dishwasher safe. Only the blade and the meat press are removable. The big savings will come from roasting meat and slicing for sandwiches and subs. Fresh roasted turkey is a healthier option to the deli counter.
You will love it. Cuts clean. Easy to clean. Easy to use
Good enough for the price. Sliced pretty well and was easy to use. Kind of a pain to clean. Could be a little more powerful. Didn’t really suction to the counter, but wasn’t moving around. Overall for the price it’s not bad and gets the job done.
Does what it is supposed toi. Was not expecting much for the price but was pleasantly surprised. As many reviews stated it is small so you won’t be getting those long bacon slices but if you don’t mind cutting your slab down it does a great job. Everything comes apart easy for cleaning. Just keep in mind this is not an industrial machine and it will do just fine
Great kitchen gadget to have. This works well and saves me money on being able to cut up meat to use in other ways that I wouldnt normally be able to do. Have to admit Im a little afraid of it because it is very sharp and not having alot of experience with such a device Im very careful. Do like it though
Cut meat falls on machine, no space for a tray. Not easy to clean. It’s not easy to clean. When you take the blade off you get gear oil/grease all over you. There is not much of an opening to put a tray to catch the cut meat. The meat literally falls into the machine. Worse design ever. If it was within the return window I would def return this and buy a different one. Not a good investment other than it slices. But I have less clean up with a sharp knife.
Love it! Great quality and so much better than my old foldable rival meat slicer. Love that this is all metal and when i adjust the thickness guide it stays where i put it. Well worth the price.Update: still love my slicer but if you are going to be slicing much hard cheese i would suggest going with a different one with a stronger motor. This will slice the cheese but if its very cold the motor seems to struggle a bit and you have to go quite slowly. I will keep this one as long as it lasts me but in the future would buy one with a stronger motor.
Super fast delivery .I haven’t used it to much but I can say is it works good and it’s a great deal . If you need a slicer , this is a good one. I liked it so much I bought a second one for the cottage.
Well worth the price. Had no problem cutting meats with it to the thickness I wanted. Haven’t tried cutting anything else and probably won’t since it meets my needs. Would have preferred a metal meat holder to the plastic one but it seems to work well. Hope it stands up to regular use.

Nesco Gets It Right. I waited to post a review until I used this slicer a few times. I have cut a ham into breakfast steaks, a pork loin into chops, 2 London broils into jerky strips, and a bottom round roast beef into deli slices. The machine performed flawlessly. I was initially concerned about the manual warning against running it for more than 10 minutes at a time, but not now – it makes short quick work of everything. Nothing I have cut came anywhere close to taking 10 minutes. While there are several competing brands and models available on Amazon, all with well deserved 4+ star ratings, few have the Nesco FS250’s large 8.7″ blade, fewer still have an all metal chassis, and fewer yet have a professional-style metal pusher/handle assembly. After 30 years of managing and owning restaurants, I found those features irresistible. Yes, when it comes to slicers, size matters. A lot. So does power, and nothing in this price range surpasses the Nesco FS250’s 180 watts of power. The ham was cut cold right out of the wrapper. One half-inch thick slice makes a perfect breakfast steak, grill two for a nice dinner, and diced up or julienned they’re great for making omelets and chef salads. The London broil and pork loin were defrosted to a firm, semi-frozen state. I agree with a lot of other reviewers – semi-frozen works best with home slicers. The completely defrosted bottom round roast (3.5 lbs.) was seasoned and put in the oven at 480 degrees for 17 minutes, then the oven was turned off and the meat cooked in the steadily cooling oven until it was cool enough to touch the pan – a perfect rare-medium rare 130 degrees on the meat thermometer. I then put the cooked roast in the freezer for a few hours to firm it up, then cut the strings, and trimmed off the little bit of bottom fat. It sliced perfectly – wafer thin, with almost no crumbling. Between me and the dog, about half of it never made it back to the refrigerator. With everything I cut, the thickness control knob remained as set and the support plaque didn’t bend, nothing wandered or lost setting – slices were uniform – that’s something a few competing machines have a problem with. And the big, sharp blade spins fast enough so it didn’t yank the meat around – the spiked metal pusher kept everything under control.Cleanup is a breeze – everything comes apart and reassembles easily without needing any tools. And there’s just something nice about working with a steel/aluminum product for a change. This machine has a strong, professional appearance – it makes the whole kitchen look sharp. And it performs perfectly for my purposes. Buy it! And live happily ever after.
Buy a Proven Name. I purchased this slicer mainly on the Nesco name. My family has Nesco roasters that have been passed down for generations. Needless to say, I went into this with great expectations. I was absolutely correct. It sliced my roast beef, thin, without issue. I worried there would be “saw” marks in the meat (like a spiral sliced ham), but the cuts were smooth. Cleanup was not difficult. Just common sense when cleaning anything with a lot of nooks and crannies. The price was good in comparison to others from companies with whose names I was unfamiliar. Having worked with Hobart slicers in previous jobs I liked the look of this miniature version. Time will tell about durability, but I take good care of my small appliances and they usually live a long, happy life with me. My rule of thumb is always to try to purchase a name I know and trust. I was totally correct in this instance.
Good for the price. The slicer works fine. My only issue is the meat/product carrier is somewhat flimsy. However for my purposes the blade cuts through easily and clean up is no issue.
It’s perfect for in home use with a family of 6 or less. This item is the perfect value for the price. It does everything it needs to, it’s easy to clean, and easy to store.Tips for use: If you’ve never worked in a kitchen you won’t understand the mechanics. This is a small semi-automatic deli slicer. Just like with every deli slicer it’s not designed for hard frozen food and doesn’t work well with thawed raw meat. It’s best to use with partially frozen meat, cooked meat, and raw veggies.Note: this slicer is not always even. You may need to adjust your speed and pressure to keep thick slices (meat especially) uniform. The only negative I have for this item is that it doesn’t get thick enough. I’d love to be able to cut fat steaks with it, but I’m restricted to about an inch size cut.
Not even close to a commercial grade slicer. I’ve owned restaurants and had Globe and Berkel slicers. I know what a “real” or quality slicer is. Well, I am out of the business now, but I wanted a slicer for infrequent home use. I bought this Nesco after previously buying an even junkier home slicer, hoping it would bridge the distance between commercial and home slicers. Nope, not even close. This Nesco (a company I actually like) is a disappointment to me. It’s lightweight, clunky, and you have to be very careful. It’s difficult to get consistent thin slices with this thing. You have to go very slow, or the slices will distort if you apply any pressure. The carriage/pusher isn’t smooth and sturdy like a commercial slicer. I understand it’s not supposed to be, except they try to make it look like it is. Cleanup is OK. It is good for the under $100 slicers, but that’s it. The bottom line is, if you want professional results, you are going to fork out around $300 to get a generic commercial or “real” slicer.
Pros: cuts meat thin for beef jerky and deli cuts, motor doesn’t slow down. Good value for the $100-$200 price range.Cons: motor spins slower than commercial units but still powerful for the job.
Excelente calidad
The only experience I have had with a meat slicer is my old Rival with a 6 inch serrated blade. I had this machine for 30 years before giving it to one of my kids. One of the reasons for switching is I want to move up to a larger blade. I like it for slicing beef round roasts and pork loins plus I smoke my own bacon, I then package the meat portions in a vacuum machine for hot pork sandwiches or whatever. The machine seems to be decently made and as other have said very easy to clean, in fact that was the feature that attracted me and it is really so, especially compared to my old unit that needed to be dismantled using a screw driver to clean it, this is as stated by others very easy to clean. I gave it three stars because it has a downside, to me in concern with my machine I got is a bad one. The first test was slicing cooked and fridge cooled pork loins at a thickness of 1/8 inch. The machine bogged down sufficiently enough that my wife looked up and asked if I was jamming it. I said no, I am not even putting any pressure on the blade at all.My first thought was if this is 250 watts they must be a lot smaller in China than here. After I cut all my meat at a much slower pace than my old smaller machine I got looking at it when I was cleaning it. The problem was easy to see, the blade is dull. My old machine had a six inch Solingen blade, it was still razor sharp after 30 years, the blade on this Nesco machine is dull, or at least mine is dull. I literally took the blade off the machine dragged it across the palm of my hand and nothing, it is that dull. That explains the motor laboring to cut. I guess the easiest example is a perry knife one side is sharp and the back side isn’t, my machines blade is the back side of the perry knife. So my options are to send it back and hope a replacement is better, try to find out if a 8.7 Solingen blade or other brand blade would interchange, dont know if they are all interchangeable between machine manufacturers or finally take my box of sharpening hones and see if I can sharpen the existing blade, So my machine is good, the blade is not, even the blade has a wobble of just under a 1/16 inch, if I can’t sharpen/replace the blade I don’t see a long motor life. Others have stated they can cut frozen meat, that sort of makes me think I got a bum blade??———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————I usually don’t do a follow-up, in fact I think this is my first one. I have since sharpened the blade by using several grit stones on the blade edge while running the machine. This has worked out quite well and has allowed me to put a much finer edge on the blade itself. I have also used it since to slice and shave ham, roast beef and pork since sharpening the blade. The machine works a whole lot better and I feel it is now much better value. Mine might have been a stand alone case, but as far as the performance goes I am quite pleased for the money and as such have raised my rating to 4 stars instead of 3.
Los cortes salen muy bien, solo que al cortar no se puede poner la mas mínima fuerza por que se alenta y pierde la calibración, pero aún así hace su funcion, solo es acostumbrarse.

Awesome Home Meat Slicer. I wanted to write this after using the product for a couple of weeks and it’s great!! Because of the whole pandemic, I figured I’d slice my own meat as the big round thick meats are better for long term storage than having sliced meats from a deli. Took me a few tries to get it right but it’s easy to use and slices great! Lots of protection from the blade which was one of my main concerns. The button to activate the blade has a safety switch which is always nice. AND finally. The damn suction cups are so suction-y! I put this on my counter without thinking about them and this thing would not move at all. Which is extremely helpful when moving a big chunk of meat. Overall 10/10 I love this thing. Pandemics make us do weird things but I learned and saved a lot!
Nice Little Slicer. works great easy to clean, only reason i dropped a star is the back plate that the meat sits on is not real sturdy, maybe a little cheaply made…. A nice little slicer, dont know how much on the durability scale it would stand up to!
Safe and easy to operate. The media could not be loaded.  I have been looking for a meat slicer for a while and decided on this one. The machine works just as described! Very easy to operate. The blade is sharp. I like how compact it is. I do not have a big kitchen so the size is definitely a plus. The machine is also safe to operate. Its feet are equipped with suction cups so the machine stays securely on the counter when you use it. The machine also has a child lock so your little ones won’t accidentally start it and hurt themselves. It can also slice other food other than meat. I tried with carrots and a pork roast, it works great! I can’t wait to try more types of meat.
Handy slicer for home. The media could not be loaded.  Great meat slicer to have for home when you want hotpot. Easy to clean and it is not extremely loud that could hurt your ears. Compact size to use on the counter. The suction cups are great, slicer can’t move at all. I think most of the meat slicers are similar on Amazon. The paint did chipped a little. Will definitely recommend the 200W power.
Total disappointment for making jerky. If you want an under powered machine, that cuts inconsistently, THIS is your machine! I mean, it will cut frozen meat, under 2″ thick, barely. I can get a more consistent cut with my Viking boning knife(yes, frozen!). Not to mention that the slide is HORRIBLE. Wax paper it, frequently, or you will end up wrestling with it. It is pretty easy to clean, I will give it that. Now, if you are using this thing for something where the consistency of your meat cut is not that important, it is a decent home slicer, which is the ONLY reason that I gave it 3 stars.Update: The seller did contact me and did do a good job of trying to make it right. The bottom line is this: I stand by what I said, if cut consistency is not an issue for you, it will get the job done. It can do frozen meat, just try not exceed cuts of meat that are thicker than 1-1/2″, otherwise the motor bogs down. It cleans easily, which is nice. For my fellow jerky enthusiasts: invest in a Cabela’s jerky slicer.
Works great. Got this for my mom to replace the one she’s been using since the 80’s. This one is so much easier to use. The suction holds in in place while you slice.
Easy time saver. Use this machine to slice frozen chicken for making dehydrated dog treats. Takes a task that would take at least a couple of hours, and makes it complete in half an hour. Very easy to use. Hope it lasts.
Excellent slicer. The media could not be loaded.  This meat slicer comes with a thickness adjustment knob. We can easily get very thin meat slices which are ready for a big hotpot party. One thing I really like this slicer is that there are four suckers placed in the bottom to keep it stable. So there was definitely no shake when I was using it. It is also easy to clean after heavy use. The blade can be unloaded for a thorough clean.
This is one of the best at home meat slicers we’ve used yet
La uso para rebanar mi pastrami que hago en el ahumador y lo hace increíblemente bien
Weak power, good enough for slicing bread, on the positive side comes with 2 blades
El engrane se rompio, la he usado 6 veces……………
Je suis surprise par la robustesse de la lame. J’ai essayé sur plusieurs pièces de viandes et je suis très satisfaite. Un bon rapport qualité-prix.

Utilizing a 200-Watt, high-performance motor, the Yeeper meat slicer is more durable and practical. Customers’ safety is our top priority, and we will do everything possible to protect them. To start the machine, the switch on a Yeeper slicer must position the safety lock paddle to the right, effectively preventing errors. Why not, for the same price, purchase a safer meat slicer?

It is equipped with two 304 stainless steel blades, one serrated and one non-serrated; this knife cuts cooked and raw food more hygienically, reducing the risk of cross-contamination when using raw and cooked food.

To facilitate cleaning by the user, the Yeeper meat slicer can be completely disassembled. Except for the motor, the Slicer blade, slide rod, food carriage, and food holder can be disassembled without tools. It is simpler to maintain.

Best on the Market. I read all the reviews for most of the brand name meat slicers. Amazon makes it very easy to do this since they offer so many brands and models of brands, along with consumer reviews. Then I took the trouble to personally take a good look at the available brands at local merchants. I might mention that the Chef’s Choice brand was only available at Kitchen Kaboodle, and then only the Model 610. Of course, I couldn’t try out the meat slicers by slicing meat since none were plugged in, and it would be rather messy for stores to offer a demo on a product like this. What I did find was the Chef’s Choice offered almost ‘frictionless’ operation of the slider that carries the meat across the blade. No other brand was as easy to move. The Chef’s Choice also has a ‘slider lock’ that locked the slider over the blade, a definate safety and storage feature. Few of the others offered this. The Chef’s Choice also appeared to be just better built with more metal and less plastic in the ‘structural’ parts of the unit. The Chef’s Choice Model 615 (unavailable locally) also features a little heavier motor than the Model 610, and most other brands in the same price range.I finally settled on the Chef’s Choice Model 615, mainly based on the larger motor and the quality of the Chef’s Choice brand overall.I tried it out the day after Christmas (it was a present), first on a boneless pre-cooked ham, then on left over Prime Rib Roast (bones removed). I sliced the ham at the 1mm setting (deli sliced) and got a whole plate of uniformly sliced ham, with very little effort and little motor slow-down. The machine also only left about 1/4″ of the butt end of the ham unsliced. Then I sliced the Prime Rib Roast at about 1/4″ slices. Again, the effort was minimal and the resulting slices were very uniform.Clean up was very easy, all the parts that needed to be removed from the machine for cleaning came apart easily, and went back together just as easy.NOTES: Keep your hands away from the blade when operating (the design makes this easy), and be very careful when removing and cleaning the blade. I can assure you that it will slice fingers just as easily as it slices ham.Let the blade do the cutting – don’t force the meat through the blade faster than it will cut. This machine will cut very fast, but will not compare to a $1500, 12″ Hobart Deli Slicer. I do think that you get a very good value for the money, and much better than most.I gave the Chef’s Choice Model 615 ‘Five Stars’ for Quality, Value, and Ease of Use.
Super Simple to use and a Must Have. I received the Chef’s Choice 615 Food Slicer a little over a week ago (just in time for St. Patty’s Day and me to test it out on my Corned Beef Brisket). I read all of the reviews and noted some opinions of it being too loud, lack of instruction, not being easy enough to operate or clean, and even some difficulties slicing consistent or thin slices. None of these deterred me from purchasing, as I also noted many of the positive reviews. This Slicer is truly amazing and so simple to use and clean. I read through the manual. I think one of the positives is that the instructions are literally one page and covers EVERYTHING you need to operate and clean the slicer. Perhaps some of the other reviewers were looking for more “meat” to the manual; but you really don’t need anything more than the instructions provided. The manual covers how to remove the blade, how to remove the carriage assembly, how to lubricate the moving parts (they recommend Vaseline, but I went with the Food Grade lubricant when I purchased the unit), and how to slice and adjust the thickness of the slices. Very simple. So, the first thing I sliced was my cooked corned beef brisket. I went with different slice thicknesses; just to experiment. I was able to go with deli thin slices and was able to get thicker from there. Quite honestly, I couldn’t resist sampling some of the slices; and before I got everything all sliced up, I made myself a Ruben sandwich and sliced up some cheese as well. It was perfect and the consistency of the corned beef and cheese slices were more than I expected.Since I had the slicer out, I figured before I clean it, I might as well get ready for my beef jerky that I was going to make. I had an UNCOOKED Chuck Roast in the freezer. I thawed it out in the microwave to get it soft enough to slice, but still partially frozen. It took maybe 5 minutes to get it thawed out enough to slice. We like our jerky very thinly sliced; so I set the slicer to the 3rd setting for thickness. It sliced through the entire roast quick. The only caution I have here is to watch when you get close to the end. There is a “thumb protector” that attaches over the carriage and has sharp spikes that pierce the meat that you are slicing. When you get close to the end, you can actually drive those spikes into the blade. I didn’t do any damage, but I wasn’t really paying attention.OK, so clean up time. I turned it off, removed the carriage assembly (it really glides very easily and effortlessly). I removed the blade (handle it VERY CAREFULLY AS IT IS VERY SHARP). A little warm soapy water and everything was all cleaned up. I wiped down the entire unit, used the lubricant I purchased to oil up the areas that need to be oiled before putting the blade back on, and it was all ready for me to use again.I have used it a lot since the very first day. I must say that I was expecting it to be very loud (based on the other reviews); but I didn’t think it was loud at all. My wife was in the other room one day and she didn’t even hear me operating it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it does make noise; but it’s not as loud as an electric kitchen knife. Quite honestly, it is probably one of the quieter appliances I have in my kitchen.I would highly recommend this slicer. As I continue to use it, I will provide more feedback. I did order the non-serrated blade (still waiting for Amazon to ship) and I am contemplating ordering the sharpener, that sharpens both blades.
excelente compra
Product so far is good and works very well I like this product
No he hecho mejor compra que la rebanadora. Superó todas mis expectativas. La recomiendo ampliamente para el hogar!
I’ve owned several food slicers over the years. Can’t remember the brands. My last one was all plastic and although it did a decent job of slicing roast beef out of the oven, it was a nightmare to wash and clean, it was quite flimsy and would slide around on the work surface as well. The Chef Choice was a toss up between it and the Cuisinart food slicer. I was able to check out the Cuisinart in person at a local hardware store. The reviews on the Chef Choice all seemed to be favourable so I bought it instead and glad I did. I bought the non-serrated blade as others recommended and it does a fine job of slicing paper thin ham. I didn’t notice the adjustment dial creeping upward as others have noticed and sliced up an entire ham to package for lunch meats at a substantial savings over the smaller prepacked ham lunch meats. The next task was slicing beef sirloin with the grain for beef jerky. I was too impatient to rechill the meat for any length of time and so we may as well call it far from firm. I did notice that the slicer would periodically grab the meat and start spinning it at the end of the cut. I found that pressing firmly on the food pusher prevents this from happening. The blade does rotate faster than my old slicer, so it’s a matter of getting used to the new one. I find myself continually reaching for the top of the machine to turn it off when I was done with my cuts. The off switch is located at the front of the machine and that does make sense, youndont want to be reaching over top of the spinning blade (which is where the off switch was located on my old slicer, so again something different to adjust to is all). I bought Food Grade H1 Grease and a grease gun from a local industrial supplier, so glad I found the correct grease for it, as it’s important to keep the gears well lubed. The machine is not overly loud. Has a very stable and solid frame made from all metal construction. It did not move at all when I was slicing. Disassembles easily for clean up. Handle blades with care, they are sharp.
Haven’t owned a slicer before so dependent on reviews. Not used a lot yet but will do to the job of deli slicing for home use. Little noisy and would have preferred more metal build but in end it is light and not a counter hog size wise. Do have to eyeball thickness when adjusting as marks don’t amount to any actual measurements. The stock serrated blade did a good job slicing home made bread and some deli meats. DO have to cut meats to smaller chunks as the carrier isn’t super deep. All in all a decent home use item. Can’t compare to professional and a decent price for a starter machine.

Works great. Good quality. Easy to clean. I read tons of reviews for many slicers and chose this one based on the good reviews I read. I tried it tonight slicing 2mm pieces of froze pork loin for a japanese dish. It worked perfectly. I was worried at first that the blade was not really moving that fast but it cut through the frozen meat very easily. I highly recommend this product.
Does a nice job on ham and cheese. In general seems to be a good product. Works at a slower speed than I expected, but it gets the job done.
Bang for the buck. I really like this slicer. It comes apart easily for cleaning. I sliced several pounds of meat and cheese. The only trouble i had was a lack of grip with the press plate and the meat would come of it and spin around with the blade before falling back onto the slicing platform. This only happened at the end of the cutting, when the chunk was smaller. I just was careful and used my hand to finish it. I would recommend this to others…unless they were accident prone to cut themselves. …some people just can’t prevent that sort of thing.
One Star. Cheap and cannot even believe someone rated this 5 stars….
very easy to clean. I buy bulk meats and cheeses. It won’t take long to pay for itself.
Works great but. I love using my slicer to slice my home made roast beef. i have two issues with this slicer. 1.) The suction cups are useless. I have to push the slicer up against the wall to keep it from sliding. 2.) I cannot find a blade sharpener for it. Other than that, it works as expected for the price. I see a lot of people complaining about the slicer not gliding very well. I work in a deli and even there we have to oil the machines. All you have to do is put a tiny bit of vegetable oil on the rod and it will slide perfectly. If anyone has found a blade sharpener for this slicer I would love to know where to get one.
Five Stars. Excellent.
One Star. not worth the money

Best Meat Slicer For Bacon - FAQs

Bacon is a delicious breakfast food, but it can be difficult to slice properly. If you are looking for the best meat slicer for bacon, you’ve come to the right place! In this article, we will answer some of the most frequent questions about bacon and meat slicers.

The best meat slicers for bacon are the ones that can cut through thick slices of meat quickly and easily. Some slicers are designed specifically for bacon, while others can be used to slice other types of meat as well. If you are looking for a slicer specifically for bacon, make sure to choose one with a large cutting blade and a powerful motor.

While most meat slicers can be used to slice bacon, some are better suited for the task than others. Slicers with large cutting blades and powerful motors will be able to easily cut through thick slices of bacon, whereas smaller or weaker slicers may struggle.

There are several benefits of using a meat slicer to slice bacon:

  • Slicing bacon with a meat slicer is quick and easy, and it produces evenly sliced pieces every time.
  • A meat slicer can cut through thick slices of bacon quickly and easily, whereas a knife can be more difficult to use and may not produce perfectly sliced bacon.
  • Using a meat slicer to slice bacon eliminates the need to manually cut the bacon into thin strips, which can be time consuming and tedious.
  • A meat slicer can also be used to slice other types of meat, which can come in handy if you regularly cook bacon and other meats.

Thick-cut bacon is just regular bacon that has been cut thicker than usual. This makes it chewier and more flavorful.

No, not all meat slicers are suitable for slicing bacon. Some machines are too powerful and will crush the bacon instead of slicing it. Look for a meat slicer with a bacon slicing blade to make sure it can handle the job.

It can be difficult to get even slices of bacon perfectly, but there are a few tricks you can use. Try freezing the bacon for about an hour before slicing it. This will make it more brittle and easier to cut. You can also use a wire rack to stabilize the bacon while you slice it.

Bacon should be stored in the fridge or freezer. If you are going to keep it in the fridge, wrap it in wax paper or plastic wrap to prevent it from becoming greasy. If you are going to freeze it, place the bacon in a zipper-lock bag and squeeze out all the air. This will prevent it from becoming freezer burned.

There are several benefits to using a meat slicer for bacon, including:

  • Increased accuracy: A good meat slicer will produce evenly sliced bacon every time, ensuring that each piece is the same thickness. This can be especially important when cooking bacon for a large group or serving it as part of a dish.
  • Consistent results: A good meat slicer will also produce consistent results each time, meaning that the bacon will be cooked evenly every time.
  • Faster than slicing by hand: Slicing bacon by hand can be a tedious process, whereas using a meat slicer can speed things up.

While there are no major risks associated with using a meat slicer for bacon, there is always the potential for something to go wrong. It is important to read the instructions carefully before using any kitchen appliance, and to exercise caution when operating the machine. Additionally, it is important to keep the slicer clean to avoid the spread of bacteria.

We hope this article has answered all your questions about bacon and meat slicers. For more information, be sure to check out our other articles on meat slicers and bacon. Thanks for reading!
