Best commercial meat slicer

Any business that sells or produces large quantities of sliced meat knows that doing so without a reliable commercial meat slicer is impossible. The secret to thin prosciutto slices, seasoned pepperoni rounds, thick bacon slices, and other flavorful cold cuts lies in the quality and sharpness of the blades of the appropriate meat slicer.

For preparing raw meat, frozen meat, and even other foods like cheese for processing or serving, food preparation spaces must also rely on the sharp blade of a meat slicer. If it has sufficient power, the blade remains sharp and equipped with the appropriate safety features. A commercial meat slicer, electric or manual, is an indispensable machine for expediting commercial processes.

Our Top Picks

What is commercial meat slicer?

A commercial meat slicer is a machine used to slice meat into thin, even pieces. It is a common kitchen appliance found in restaurants and other commercial kitchens. Meat slicers can be either manual or electric.

Electric meat slicers are the most common type found in commercial kitchens. They are faster and more efficient than manual slicers.

How does commercial meat slicer work?

A meat slicer is a tool used to slice meats, vegetables, and cheeses. It can be either manual or electric. The most common type of meat slicers is commercial ones used in restaurants and grocery stores.

The working principle of a commercial meat slicer is straightforward. It consists of a sharp blade that is mounted on a rotating platform. The meat is placed on the platform, and the blade is rotated to slice the meat.

Another advantage of using a commercial meat slicer is that it is speedy. This is important for busy restaurants and grocery stores that need to slice a lot of meat quickly.

A disadvantage of using a commercial meat slicer is that it can be dangerous. The blade is very sharp and can cause severe injuries if it meets skin. It is essential to be incredibly careful when using a meat slicer and keep your hands away from the blade.

A great slicer. This slicer is awesome. I use it to slice many different meats, but mostly either beef roasts or bacon that I cured and smoked. Although I have not made prosciutto, I have tried slicing the bacon that thin, and I can do it.Pros: easy to use, repeatable slices at thick or thin. I slice bacon thick (setting 5) and beef for sandwiches at about setting 2. One hint is to slice the meet when it is cool, but not frozen. You can slice frozen, but it tends to be difficult. The slicer runs very quietly and smoothly, and cuts through the meat with little effort. Note that neither this slicer nor any other I have seen is intended to cut bones – don’t do it. Cleaning is not all that difficult, but you do have to take the machine apart including taking the blade off, which has three screws that hold it in. It takes me about 15 minutes to clean it. Unfortunately you need to do it by hand. Also, the blade is unbelievably sharp; so, I HIGHLY recommend you get some of the gloves that are intended for dealing with sharp knives, etc. They look like chain mail. The slicer comes with a sharpening stone that is easy to install and use, and it works!Cons: The instructions are not so obvious. Fortunately, the slicer came with the blade on; so, you don’t need the assembly instructions. Some reviews complain that the slicer is too heavy (40 lbs), but it has to be; otherwise it would slip all over the place. That said, the weight is not really a con, but a necessity both because of the powerful motor and for stability. The only real con I can come up with is that there are a few little nooks and crannies in which meat “dust” tends to accumulate; so, cleaning requires some care. I use Clorox wipes followed by a damp paper towel. To deal with the weight, I purchased a rolling table from Ikea that is the same height as my counter top. This has a wooden butcher block top and two metal shelves. Perfect for the slicer, and I can roll it into the laundry room when it is not being used.Again, I can’t recommend enough some good gloves for handling the blade if you like your fingers. I got these: NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves – High Performance Level 5 Protection, Food Grade. Size Large for about $10. Well worth it. I have seen that the slicer comes in a 10″ model and a 12″ model. Go for the larger size. You will need it. Also, there is an option to get a Teflon coated blade or not. Go with it, it is only about $10 more, and the Teflon keeps the meet from sticking to the blade. Not the edge, of course, but the rest of the blade.
Awesome home deli slicer. I am very impressed and pleased with this slicer. It is heavy and well built. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to take apart and clean and sterilize after using.I have only used it twice so far, the most extensive with 8 pounds of cheese. Swiss and pepper jack. Almost 12 pounds of meat. Pastrami and corned beef.It was effortless to cut the cheese, easily slicing through without it sticking to the blade. Perfect sandwich slices. Easily adjustable to the thickness you desire.Meat can be cut paper thin if that is your choice. The motor hums quietly, never seeming to strain through any of the meats or cheeses. I am very pleased and it is worth every penny I paid for it. I figure it will pay for itself within 2 years. I now buy bulk roast beef for $3.50 a pound, instead of the $9.95 the deli charges.Just take the time to properly clean and sanitize after using. Also it is very important to buy cut resistant gloves to handle the blade.
Using mine at home. I purchased this product for my home kitchen. I have mixed feelings about the slicer. The Bad:- The unit came with a number of minor blemishes and scratches. (None worthy of complaining about by themselves.)- When I took the blade off to clean the unit, I found metal shavings inside. While these would not be exposed to any food being cut, they were a mess to deal with when cleaning the unit. (The shavings were under the blade mount.)- The unit is difficult to clean. Not too bad, just not convenient.- The blade is a pain to clean, you have to disassemble the unit partially to clean. Especially around the ring guard.- The ‘depth’ calibration is off. On the depth knob, zero is not zero. Again, not a bid deal, just a lack of attention in manufacturing.- The ‘gap’ between the slide and the product tray and the backstop is a little wide. Food can be pulled into this gap.The Good:- The teflon blade is exceptional. Love it.- The unit is solid, the slide moves easily, and it cuts very nicely.- Very powerful and no issues cutting- The 0.6″ cut depth is very good. For the home, this unit requires a lot of work to clean. So if you are only going to slice a little bit, the cleaning may be more work than it is worth.I feel it would do very well in a commercial setting where this unit would get a lot of use before being cleaned at the end of the day.(Again, I purchased this for my home, and I knew what I was getting into. So this is not a complaint, I’m just making others aware.)Overall, I feel it is a good unit and worth the money. When using it at home, it has sliced VERY well and I’m happy with its performance.I’ve used it to slice beef for Bulgogi, fresh bread, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, vegetables, etc… It works well.My only real concerns are that the unit could have been designed to make cleaning it a bit easier.Definitely a good product, and I am happy with it.
Worth the expense. Excellent machine. Used it today for the first time. First I shaved an entire deli ham, next I dialed up thicker slices for Canadian Bacon. I then moved on to bologna and sliced it thick – to pan fry. Last item was a 5 lb block of Swiss cheese. The slicer handled all of these without trouble. Cleanup went very quickly – about 15 minutes. I did order no-cut gloves to use when cleaning the blade – definitely worth it.
Now this is a slicer that does it all from slicing paper thin prosciutto to making quick work of slicing cheese and meats.

While researching this machine online, I saw someone who mistook it for a motorcycle. If this does not demonstrate authority, what does?!

This unit is impressive right out of the box, with its sleek, gleaming aluminum alloy construction and powerful 420W 0.57HP pure copper motor spins the blade at an incredible 440 RPM. Okay, I can see how it might be confused for a motorcycle!

However, this is a large unit. With dimensions close to 2 feet by 2 feet and a weight of over 60 pounds, this machine is too large and heavy to be lifted into and out of a kitchen cabinet. The most professional machine on our list is designed to be permanently installed on a countertop.

It is well-suited for commercial use, including farms, sub shops, and catering businesses. This machine is for you if you make your bacon or smoked meats, do a lot of slicing, and want a top performer that will not tire after hours of continuous use.

This premium-quality slicer with a large (118.58″) food tray to hold large pieces of food will go the distance, effortlessly and swiftly slicing cooked and frozen meats, vegetables, cheese, bread, and fruits.

The size and 12-inch blade make it ideal for those who make their belly bacon, as the belly can be sliced without being folded in half—the only one on this list large enough to accomplish that.

I like the blade’s ultra-smooth Teflon-coated stainless-steel construction. In addition to providing complete precision control when slicing anything from wafer-thin to 0.6″ thick, the edges are easy to clean, and food particles do not adhere as firmly on non-coated meat slicer blades.

Given that cleaning slicers are a negative for some users (but well worth it when you bite into that fresh turkey and pastrami sub!), having a blade that is easier to clean is a plus for me.

After pushing the food through the slicer, an automatic carriage return will gently return the food tray. This slicer is safe and straightforward due to its water-resistant on/off switch, dual whetstone sharpener, and skid-resistant feet. In addition, it comes with an additional belt and sharpening stones.

This model is the best commercial food slicer on the market.

Initial thoughts on first use and cleaning. Purchased the 250 model.Overall I like the machine and what it does, it could use some design changes to make it more user friendly.Inspected after arriving, read instructions, disassembled and cleaned it. Reassembled to test it out on some smoked turkey breast. I really like the adjustment on the thickness dial, it’s easy to use and makes some very thin slices if that’s what you are after. The instructions are decent. It took a bit to figure out a few of the steps, but after reading and paws on the machine it becomes clear. It’s a heavy machine meaning with a heavy product you slice it stays put and doesn’t slide or rock when slicing, it is very stable. It is also quiet and worked very well slicing up 4 turkey breasts. (I’d rather smoke and slice up our own than buy the processed chemical/preservative infused crap anyway) Thais machine allows you to do that very easily. When using, if you keep your left hand down where the slices peel out, catching them before they get sucked between the blade and the blade guard will prevent messes and lost food. If the meat gets stuck in there the blade has the tendency to fling it all over or ball it up behind the blade. That balled up debris leads me to the next item. Two areas that could use improvement are the breakdown of the blade guard at the bottom. It is a process to get to the screws that hold that on and should be made easier to access and undo. A simple qtr turn knob located above the frame, could save a lot of time and broken plastic covers underneath the machine. To access them now, you need to remove a cover beneath the machine. This means removing three screws and undoing two of the feet. The cover comes off and there are two nuts holding the blade guard on that need to be removed. Not an easy or quick process. Not doing this leaves food trapped behind the blade guard. Two keyed standoffs with flats could be used to remove the guard from above and leave all that below stuff out of that process. Trying to fit a cloth, brush or anything else between the blade and the guard will result in cutting up what ever you slip in, or damaging your blade edge leading to more sharpening and wear. The second area that needs a redesign is the sharpening stone head. It isn’t easy to get that aligned square to the blade surface. If this isn’t square to the blade you will end up messing up the edge. If the shaft that slides into the mounting portion had a keyed slot and a key was machined into the shaft, it would be square each time it is reinstalled. At that point your only worry is the height of the stones on the edge. This would eliminate some variables leading to a bad knife edge.
Out of the box I’m impressed. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos on this slicer before I pulled the trigger and ordered itI just got done slicing up 2 beef bottom rounds to make jerkyLeft them fairly frozen, sliced like butter, paper thinMachine worked flawlessly and clean up was pretty straightened.I think the people complaining about how difficult clean up is must be overthinking things here. It’s really not that difficult.Looks and feels like a pretty solid machine for the money. Only two things that can potentially fail in my eyes are the motor and the on/off switch. Both of which I’m SURE you can source if you’re handy like that. All in all Everything else seems to be built pretty wellThe big selling point in this unit from what I take away after countless hours researching is the Italian made blade.I’ll update my review as time goes on but after the first initial use after receiving it today I’m pretty impressed and happy with my purchase so far!
Strong and precise. shipped quickly and arrived quickly. product was as advertised. worked well to slice up meat for my beef jerky. It also worked very well to slice up ham, roast beef, and corned beef into deli slices for sandwiches. I had no problem getting thin slices from it. Cleaning it isn’t a simple wipe and go process if you want to do it correctly but it didn’t turn out as bad a I dreaded after reading some reviews. Good machine, quiet, powerful, and delivers what I want from it. Very pleased with the purchase.
Easily the best kitchen gadget that I’ve bought. I’ve wanted a slicer for a long time, but have been gifted or otherwise used cheaper home-use slicers and they’ve always been horrible to use. I did the research and this kept popping up. So after a little bit of saving and a little bit of convincing myself I went ahead and got it.Received it today. Well packed, but mostly fully assembled (just had to attach one of the guards) Was able to clean it with the instructions provided and got it setup on my counter. I had planned around this coming, so I had a roast beef waiting to be sliced. All motions on this are buttery smooth. The motor does make sound, but it’s not what I would consider loud. A far cry quieter than the stand mixer, if I’m being honest. Now for the slicing; it must be a Midwest thing but I love super thin sliced meats, almost but not shaved. This thing rocked like a champ at that. It does have a zero setting and goes all the way up to 12. These are not locked in settings (they dont click into place, you can dial in precisely where you want), you can adjust and go anywhere the blade will cut. The setting was very good at staying put and just rocked through the 3lb roast beef in just a few minutes. Perfectly thin sliced at not quite the half mark between 0 and 1 on the thickness dial. Paper thin and oh so stack-able on a sandwich.Cleanup wasn’t as straight forward as I was anticipating, but after reading the directions it was simple enough. I was able to ensure that no crumbs or debris was left anywhere on or in the machine and it was completely cleaned and wiped down within about 5 minutes. The only downside that I can mention on this was the width of the food tray. It’s plenty long so I can slice meatloaf lengthwise from my loaf pan, but how deep the tray goes is a bit limiting. I had to cut the 3lb roast down in order for it to fit within the food guide. There is a grip that can come down, but because of the high angle, it made it awkward to push it along for the slices. I dont really consider this too much of a downside as it is intended to be for home use, and if it were bigger, it’d be a bit more of a pain to store when not in use.Final downside is this thing is big. It wont fit in most of my cabinets nor will it fit in my walk in pantry without going to a top shelf, which is about head height. It will fit in one of my cabinets as long as I’m willing to sacrifice ease of accessing anything behind it. That said, It will likely live on the counter in a corner out of the way of normal food prep areas. Now, advice; if you’re planning on doing a lot of slicing, this is definitely the slicer you want. If you’re planning on slicing once or twice a season (or year) this is a hefty investment not only in money but space. I specifically got this because I do make my own lunch meats and cheeses so the slicer was just a next step in that direction.I should also note, i kind of consider this a kitchen gadget. It does one thing, it does it well, but there’s no crossover. My stand mixer does all sorts of things for me from baking to cooking to candymaking, and even meat processing (with attachments) This will pretty much just slice meats and cheeses.Bottom line, I do highly recommend this slicer if you’re in the market for one. Buttery smooth operation, nearly effortless slicing, and this thing just keeps on rocking.I’ll come back and update after a year of planned moderate to heavy use to see how it holds up.
This is a truly professional product. Very solidly built, easy to use & clean. Feels like it will last generations.
Funciona muy bien
Amazing work perfect
More than pleased with product, razor thin slicing like butter 🙂
Easy to use, can slice thick to paper thin.

This product is constructed from superior materials, performs at a high level, and will last for many years. If the blade were 12 inches long, this would have been the best meat slicer, but it has to settle for second place.

It has an aluminum body with a chromium-plated carbon steel blade, so it is corrosion-resistant, maintains a sharp edge for a long time, and is simple to clean and keep hygienic. Additionally, it is ETL, and NSF standard approved.

Its 240W motor spins a 10-inch-diameter blade at 282 RPM, allowing it to cut effectively and quickly. It can slice foods with thicknesses ranging from 1 to 12 mm (0 – 12″). This can range from paper-thin to pencil-thick meat and vegetable slices.

The maximum slicing length is 210 mm (8-1/4 inches), and the maximum cutting height is 170 mm (6 – 7/10 inches). This is ideal for all vegetables, most hams, back bacon, and all cheeses. To slice something as large as streaky bacon, one must first reduce its size or fold it in half.

This item weighs 33 pounds and has nonslip feet, so it will remain in place while in use. It operates without noise or vibration and can run for hours without overheating.

For safety, it has a blade ring guard and a double illuminated, recessed on/off switch that prevents accidental activation.

It also has an easy-to-use double whetstone blade sharpener mounted on the top of the knife to keep the cutting-edge razor sharp.

Overall, a high-quality and dependable product worthy of consideration.

Key Features
  • Premium Chromium-plated Steel Blade with protection against corrosion
  • There is no need to sharpen the blade frequently
  • Double Illuminated ON/OFF Switch 24V to avoid power shock for best protection
  • Slicing meat, cheese, veggies, ham, fruit precisely
  • USA standard approved: ETL, NSF
PROS
  • Commercial level quality
  • Chromium-plated carbon steel blade is corrosion-resistant, easy to sharpen and holds a sharp edge for longer.
  • Aluminum body is anti-rust and easy to clean.
  • 10-inch blade allows for slicing larger foods than many smaller slicers.
  • Powerful motor can run for hours without over-heating.
  • Near silent and vibration free operation.
  • A good weight and non-slip feet ensure it stays put during use.
CONS
  • A large and heavy unit, so not a product to sit on your kitchen counter when unused and takes up a lot of storage.
  • Blade not easy to remove for deep cleaning (but this is common to nearly all slicers.)

Love this slicer. My KWS slicer is nothing short of fantastic. I got the Teflon blade because I slice a lot of cheese. I slice meat and cheese at least once a week in my home. I have diabetes and a heart condition so I really have to watch my diet. There are few ready made diet programs good for both kinds of conditions. You have to keep an eye on both fat intake and carbs. As a result keeping track of portioning is very important. The ability to slice meats cheese and other products with great consistency makes computing dietary intake very easy. You need the ability to slice thin or thick as you need to help make things easier. This slicer cuts from paper thin, literally see through slices, to very thick. I burned up a smaller slicer in less than six months. In that one from the beginning I could hear it slow down when slicing cheese. What few of the manufacturers tell you is that most of these machines are not meant to slice cheese. The Teflon blade has no problem handling cheese and is the only slicer I found in this price range that actually says it can slice cheese. (This model with just the stainless steel blade is not rated for cheese slicing) Even large cheese loaves are sliced easily. Clean up is pretty easy with this machine. It’s a bit trickier than with the smaller machines but that’s because the safety guard and screw system are heavier than the smaller machines. Once you try it a couple of times it’s really pretty easy. One important point, and it’s brought up in both the written manual provided with the machine and in the KWS video on how to clean your slicer, it’s most important to wear cut resistant gloves when cleaning this slicer. The blade is very, very sharp. This machine arrived ahead of the promised date, and the packaging was very good. The construction is excellent. The first time I removed the blade for cleaning I had some difficulty removing the three Philips head screws. Luckily my son had a wrench that fit into the square hole in the blade shaft. ALL the screws are tightened very well. No problems with any of them coming loose. The slicer is quiet when in operation, and the controls are all in logical places. Easy to see and use. The tray is big enough for anything I have tried so far. The slices are all uniform and the blade cuts completely through the meat or cheese without any uncut edges that formed a flap like protrusion that was left after some cuts when I used my last slicer. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a good slicer with a very reasonable price.
Works Great. The media could not be loaded.  This is a quality meat slicer, super sturdy and well built. Slices through meat smoothly and easily (video is from the very first time we used it, so we were a little slow). Cleaning is a little bit of a pain because you have to unscrew the machine to take the blade off, but I think worth it because it means a sturdy and safe machine. 100% recommend purchasing cut proof gloves to wear when taking apart! I read a lot of reviews of different slicers before purchasing and others recommend to avoid a slicer with a serrated blade (because it means a weak motor) and I’m glad I did! I would recommend this product if you’re looking for a meat slicer.
Great for entry level commercial operations, and even better for hardcore home users. So, I’ve worked in a lot pf restaurants, and I’ve had experience with a lot of machines. I can tell you that this machine is virtually identical in quality and construction to the more “value” models that restaurants buy when it’s a limited use prroduct. In other words, a full service deli would want a better machine, but they’d be up around a grand. Machines like this generally go for between $500 and $650.PROS: This unit can cut through most anything you throw at it, though very large frozen meats will take some time. I have cut frozen beef tenderloin and frozen pork loins with it, and it did fine. Because this is a true upgrade from a home model, you’ll notice some differences. It’s heavy. The jaws lock in certain positions because they are lined with sharp spikes and you can’t have them floping around. The slide arm will not move as smoothly as a Hobart, but you’re paying half the price for a unit that will do all the same stuff, maybe a little slower. I’ve owned two of the “home” slicers, and they don’t begin to compare.CONS: It’s not a $1500 Hobart like you might see at the grocery store. It won’t run on automatic, and it won’t be as fast with sticky cheeses. It will slice exceedingly thin slices, but you have to be careful that they don’t get pulled back into the blade. Home units ARE designed to be easier to clean. Many of the attributes that make them easy to clean also reduce their effetiveness against big meats, particularly when frozen. The disassembly isn’t bad, but there is no special tool for blade removal. I would invest in some cutting gloves. Probably get one of the chain-mail type. You’ll have to loosen the big knobs, remove the blade conver, and then unscrew and remove the blade if you want to get everything clean. This is true of all commercial slicers. The whole process, with cleaning takes about 5 minutes. Conclusion: If you want to slice a little meat or cheese here and there, you are probably better off with a smaller home model. They are light, easy to clean, and can do a great job on small tasks. But if you want to cut frozen meats, (necessary to get the thin slices necessary for Banh Mi and other asian dishes), and you have been frustrated by the limitations of the little ones, this is a great buy. Dollar for dollar, you won’t get this much machine for this price anywhere else that I’ve seen. Their website is hard to find, because it’s really for Asian markets, but it’s there if you look. This company makes BIG machines for heavy industrial food production. (Tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars). If I were opening a restaurant, I might spend a little more. But for someone who butchers meat and finds uses for the slicer 2 or 3 times a week, I couldn’t be happier.
Nous l adorons, pas bruyant, tranche à la merveille !
Works very well
Super

Works Great. I was hesitant about buying a slicer. This is one of my best buys for sure. The slicer showed up well packaged and easy to unbox. Putting it together was simple and pretty intuitive looking at the parts. The slicer was actually nicer looking and well built that I expected. After getting all the parts washed to clean off the “oily” parts, I put it together and proceeded to cut some meat I bought in anticipation of the shipment. The meat cut like butter. The blade is clearly very sharp and made the job simple. There is minimal mess although some particles do go on the counter… That’s to be expected.Cleaning Vevor is simple… HOWEVER, taking the blade off to clean it requires level 5 cut proof gloves to protect you from being “part of the meat slicing”. I bought those a few years ago because of my knife sharpening I do so I already had them. This is my first slicer so I don’t have any comparison but I don’t think you can go wrong with this product purchase.
Heavy duty, easy to use. Just got this slicer as an early Christmas gift. We thawed 5lb frozen deer hams and sliced them to make jerky. This thing is awesome. Right out of the box, it comes well packaged, and clean. All parts were coated with what appeared to be a light coat of shipping oil. I first disassembled it, including the blade for which you will need a 4mm Allen wrench, and the back rest, which you will need a 10mm wrench for. Put everything in hot soapy water with Dawn and cleaned it well. Be sure to wear safety gloves when handling the blade as it is incredibly sharp. Reassembled everything and turned it on. It’s super quiet, and we sliced our deer ham in less than 7 minutes, including stopping to clear a few scraps now and then. Our meat was about 2/3 thawed which is perfect for this raw application, and it powered right through cutting perfect 5mm slices. Not even once did it act like it couldn’t handle the effort. For the money, this 10” slicer is absolutely amazing.
10in meat slicer preferred over 8 inch unit for home use. You need a min of 10inch meat slicer over the 8 in. 12in would be even better. IMO- But for Home use. I find is 10inch is prefect/ workable size for Holiday Thanksgiving and Xmas Roast beef and Prime rib roast. the item was on Sale Black friday; which make me purchase it. everyone in the family didn’t want me to buy this Big and Heavy unit. You don’t need it , just carve it with the electric knife. it really nice to eat uniform cuts of meat.It arrived in a Clean and Sealed box. It was signature required, but UPS dropped and left at door stepPorch pirates didnt get this one.It was beautiful to unwrap. My first meat slicer. Safety is paramount.Just remember when you cleaning or just touching the blade to remove any meat bits under the cover – always Unplug /Remove the power cord just to be safe. Regard if the On/Off switch is Off. alway be aware and not chat while slicing or in a hurry to crank out the slices. Turn on and off to test the unit. wait at least 30sec as it runs for your first slice. Always remember when its adjustment knot is cranked opened to 1/2 in gap. after your last slice to close the gap back to 0 to prevent a oops.It works beautifully for my 6th time use. quiet as the motor runs with the tin sound motions between slices and solid on the counter top . No movement only the slider movement.Yes, the bits of meat does fly off the unit no matter how slow or uniform strokes.Best to have it close to kitchen backsplash wall for a easy cleaning.Clean up is a learning curve , it get quicker each time you use it. I use bleach wipes for the blade.Keep in mind bacteria from meats can grow on the slicer blade and parts , which keep me prompt to clean up the unit after each use. Dont take short cuts not to cleaning the small gaps, its there. The Meat holder or spike clamp , not sure of the correct name. but that part is PIA to clean. you cant remove it from the meat loading tray to wash clean from the fats. I use to wrap it with foil warp around the hinge and spike plate to reduce the cleaning time.Haven’t used the blade sharpen yet.Its big and takes up the entire kitchen counter if you only have a 7 foot counter .But the family wont admit it was a Good Call to purchase this unit.I can tell when they are quiet and eating LOLIt cuts thin slices of Roast beef and Prime rib , SO easy to eat for Senior with Teeth issues. My Mother inlaw was enjoying her extra helping slices of Prime rib . who would complainI can only eat 2 slices. So far no issues with the machine.Haven’t slice egg plants or cheese or Frozen meat yets. You will enjoy your Roast, I mean your 10inch meat slicer , be safe ,aware and keep it clean.IMO Great price at 240.Happy Holidays
I was able to slice prosciutto very thin on #1 setting. Also slice a 75% thawed roast beef to 1/8” thick slices.Very smooth operation. Could be a little quieter.Instructions are garbage but there’s a good YouTube video with some helpful hints.
Es muy bueno y practico, el único inconveniente es que tiene defectos en la fundición de las piezas, y tiene muescas que pueden ayudar a la proliferación de microorganismos

Price, power, and size reductions always make me uncertain about what to anticipate. Can the unit still perform effectively? Will it become overheated or strained if the load is increased? But this machine cut precisely because it met all the requirements. Including creative thinking!

The sleek, easy-to-clean body, smooth curves, sturdy black knob handles, and feet are the first things you notice about VEVOR’s smaller compact unit with plenty of eye-catching counter appeal.

With dimensions of approximately 19 19 17″ and a weight of 46.8 pounds, this electric food slicer is light enough to lift into and out of a cabinet but heavy enough to operate without slipping. It is not a small item but occupies less counter space than the previous models evaluated.

The 240W or 1/3HP motor performs admirably when slicing meat, bread, vegetables, and cheese. If you are working with raw meat, ensure that it is only partially frozen so the machine can handle it.

The thickness adjustment knob provides a wide range of slicing options from 0 to 17 mm, and the 10″ steel blade with built-in whetstone sharpeners will remain razor-sharp and easily slice foods up to 8″ in height.

Key Features
  • 10 Inch
  • Compact Design
  • Stainless Steel Blade
  • Muiti-application
PROS
  • Built-in whetstones

5. Chefman Electric Deli & Food Slicer

Chefman Electric Deli & Food Slicer Die-Cast Machine for Home Use Slice Meat, Cheese, Bread, Fruit & Vegetables, Adjustable Thickness, Blade, Safe Non-Slip Feet, Easy to Clean, Black Stainless Steel

Amazon.com

The Chefman Die-cast electric meat slicer is ideal for deli-style slicing of meat, vegetables, and fruit. This commercial meat slicer comes equipped with an adjustable dial for slicing thickness.

The space-saving compact meat slicer can be placed anywhere in the kitchen. This Chefman raw meat slicer with its 180-watt motor is ideal for weekday parties and food preparation.

The advantage of this meat slicer is its protected blades, which ensure safety. It includes a food pusher to facilitate feeding while protecting your hands.

The die-cast aluminum body prevents rusting. An electric deli food slicer can be used to slice meat, vegetables, cheese, and fruit.

We were impressed by the variety of thicknesses offered by the Chef’s Choice: 0.1 to 0.75 inches is a more excellent range than many larger models. However, because of the serrated edge, it is impossible to cut charcuterie into paper-thin slices, as it will catch and tear. This requires a straight edge.

Finally, we appreciate that this machine disassembles into multiple pieces for easy cleaning, which is essential when handling raw meat and maintaining impeccable hygiene.

Key Features
  • Food Carriage & Pusher
  • Quick-Release
  • Adjustable Thickness Dial
  • Easy Use & Cleanup
PROS
  • Premium quality stainless steel slicing blades
  • Durable and versatile blades
  • Food pusher for hand safety
  • Blades are guarded
  • Die-cast aluminum is rust-free
  • 180-watt power motor
  • Slicing veggies, fruits, and meat is easy
  • Variable slicing settings
CONS
  • A little bit of high noise
  • Cleaning might be harder

Nesco Gets It Right. I waited to post a review until I used this slicer a few times. I have cut a ham into breakfast steaks, a pork loin into chops, 2 London broils into jerky strips, and a bottom round roast beef into deli slices. The machine performed flawlessly. I was initially concerned about the manual warning against running it for more than 10 minutes at a time, but not now – it makes short quick work of everything. Nothing I have cut came anywhere close to taking 10 minutes. While there are several competing brands and models available on Amazon, all with well deserved 4+ star ratings, few have the Nesco FS250’s large 8.7″ blade, fewer still have an all metal chassis, and fewer yet have a professional-style metal pusher/handle assembly. After 30 years of managing and owning restaurants, I found those features irresistible. Yes, when it comes to slicers, size matters. A lot. So does power, and nothing in this price range surpasses the Nesco FS250’s 180 watts of power. The ham was cut cold right out of the wrapper. One half-inch thick slice makes a perfect breakfast steak, grill two for a nice dinner, and diced up or julienned they’re great for making omelets and chef salads. The London broil and pork loin were defrosted to a firm, semi-frozen state. I agree with a lot of other reviewers – semi-frozen works best with home slicers. The completely defrosted bottom round roast (3.5 lbs.) was seasoned and put in the oven at 480 degrees for 17 minutes, then the oven was turned off and the meat cooked in the steadily cooling oven until it was cool enough to touch the pan – a perfect rare-medium rare 130 degrees on the meat thermometer. I then put the cooked roast in the freezer for a few hours to firm it up, then cut the strings, and trimmed off the little bit of bottom fat. It sliced perfectly – wafer thin, with almost no crumbling. Between me and the dog, about half of it never made it back to the refrigerator. With everything I cut, the thickness control knob remained as set and the support plaque didn’t bend, nothing wandered or lost setting – slices were uniform – that’s something a few competing machines have a problem with. And the big, sharp blade spins fast enough so it didn’t yank the meat around – the spiked metal pusher kept everything under control.Cleanup is a breeze – everything comes apart and reassembles easily without needing any tools. And there’s just something nice about working with a steel/aluminum product for a change. This machine has a strong, professional appearance – it makes the whole kitchen look sharp. And it performs perfectly for my purposes. Buy it! And live happily ever after.
Buy a Proven Name. I purchased this slicer mainly on the Nesco name. My family has Nesco roasters that have been passed down for generations. Needless to say, I went into this with great expectations. I was absolutely correct. It sliced my roast beef, thin, without issue. I worried there would be “saw” marks in the meat (like a spiral sliced ham), but the cuts were smooth. Cleanup was not difficult. Just common sense when cleaning anything with a lot of nooks and crannies. The price was good in comparison to others from companies with whose names I was unfamiliar. Having worked with Hobart slicers in previous jobs I liked the look of this miniature version. Time will tell about durability, but I take good care of my small appliances and they usually live a long, happy life with me. My rule of thumb is always to try to purchase a name I know and trust. I was totally correct in this instance.
Overall nice slicer. Overall this is a nice slicer. Easy enough to clean. It does get warm if it’s on for 10 min or so.Couple drawbacks, if the tray was a v shape, it would hold meat better and safer. It’s a bit far from the slicer, so the end of whatever you are slicing will need to be hand sliced or whatever else you want to do. Bacon is a bit difficult to cut, due to size of unit. But we make due.I’d recommend this to someone looking for a decent inexpensive slicer.
Terrific home slicer. I have been using this slicer for a year now and love it. I am in the fabricated materials industry and can attest that the slicer is well built for a home machine. It is easy to clean because the sliding carriage can be removed quickly. The serrated blade, though more expensive to make, means that the blade does not need to be sharpened (just like serrated knives). Motor speed is geared down to give ample torque yet enough cutting speed to do the job without getting dangerously fast. Speaking of gearing, the gears are made of a nylon filled plastic that give both strength and lubricity. There is liberal use of aluminum die castings and polished & bent stainless steel sheet.I have read some comments comparing this machine to a professional unit. Hobart was a customer of mine and the professional units are bult for daily use in a commercial envionment, not occassional use in a home. If it is a professional unit you want, then buy one. If, however, you have the need for an occassional use slicer, I don’t think you will find a better unit than the Nesco on the market.
Returning. We bought this slicer mainly for jerky meat. We had issues with it cutting the meat evenly. Probably on par with slicers in the price range but we want something better. Not only did it not make an even slice, it didn’t seem to cut very well. More tore the meat. We even tried partially frozen meat. Bought a Vevor which was more expensive but well worth it! Amazing machine and works great.
Pros: cuts meat thin for beef jerky and deli cuts, motor doesn’t slow down. Good value for the $100-$200 price range.Cons: motor spins slower than commercial units but still powerful for the job.
The only experience I have had with a meat slicer is my old Rival with a 6 inch serrated blade. I had this machine for 30 years before giving it to one of my kids. One of the reasons for switching is I want to move up to a larger blade. I like it for slicing beef round roasts and pork loins plus I smoke my own bacon, I then package the meat portions in a vacuum machine for hot pork sandwiches or whatever. The machine seems to be decently made and as other have said very easy to clean, in fact that was the feature that attracted me and it is really so, especially compared to my old unit that needed to be dismantled using a screw driver to clean it, this is as stated by others very easy to clean. I gave it three stars because it has a downside, to me in concern with my machine I got is a bad one. The first test was slicing cooked and fridge cooled pork loins at a thickness of 1/8 inch. The machine bogged down sufficiently enough that my wife looked up and asked if I was jamming it. I said no, I am not even putting any pressure on the blade at all.My first thought was if this is 250 watts they must be a lot smaller in China than here. After I cut all my meat at a much slower pace than my old smaller machine I got looking at it when I was cleaning it. The problem was easy to see, the blade is dull. My old machine had a six inch Solingen blade, it was still razor sharp after 30 years, the blade on this Nesco machine is dull, or at least mine is dull. I literally took the blade off the machine dragged it across the palm of my hand and nothing, it is that dull. That explains the motor laboring to cut. I guess the easiest example is a perry knife one side is sharp and the back side isn’t, my machines blade is the back side of the perry knife. So my options are to send it back and hope a replacement is better, try to find out if a 8.7 Solingen blade or other brand blade would interchange, dont know if they are all interchangeable between machine manufacturers or finally take my box of sharpening hones and see if I can sharpen the existing blade, So my machine is good, the blade is not, even the blade has a wobble of just under a 1/16 inch, if I can’t sharpen/replace the blade I don’t see a long motor life. Others have stated they can cut frozen meat, that sort of makes me think I got a bum blade??———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————I usually don’t do a follow-up, in fact I think this is my first one. I have since sharpened the blade by using several grit stones on the blade edge while running the machine. This has worked out quite well and has allowed me to put a much finer edge on the blade itself. I have also used it since to slice and shave ham, roast beef and pork since sharpening the blade. The machine works a whole lot better and I feel it is now much better value. Mine might have been a stand alone case, but as far as the performance goes I am quite pleased for the money and as such have raised my rating to 4 stars instead of 3.
Excelente producto para el uso correcto. Aunque le ayudaría un poco más de potencia. Pero por el precio no pido más. Excelente calidad

The cheapest option is the NESCO stainless steel meat slicer. The blade of this kitchen accessory is removable and made of stainless steel. The edges are resilient and efficiently cut frozen meat.

The adjustable settings allow you to choose the desired thickness of slices. Dual safety features are present. The adjustable 9/16 knob simplifies the adjustment process. The Die-cast aluminum food press is resistant to rust.

The feet of this industrial meat slicer are stable and prevent movement. The power ON/OFF switch is concealed to avoid accidental power on/off. The motor’s power is 180 watts, and it operates efficiently.

This thing is somewhat monstrous. It has a large 8.5-inch blade and a powerful 180-watt motor to supercharge your slicing.

Its slicing mechanism is equipped with a depth control feature to provide as much flexibility and functionality as possible during use.

  • Adjustable thickness control knob for 9/16″

Great for home use. My item arrived within two business days using Amazon prime. It was in excellent condition and ready for use. I recommend that everyone read the entire manual front to back to understand how to use the appliance properly (even if you have used a food slicer in the past). Every make and model are different. This slicer works great for slicing meats, cheeses and bread. It also cut pretty uniform slices which is nice to have. It is a home slicer and because it is for home use it is not as powerful as the ones used in a commercial setting. Please keep that in mind during usage and take your time.I will be honest and say that this unit is light years ahead of other models that I have tried. I tried another brand the day before just to slice cheese and lunch meat and had to return it to the store from it smoking and make rejection noises. This slicer can handle whatever you throw at it but you have to work with it. I am so happy to finally be able to slice my own everything and for the savings that come along with it!Tips:Throughly clean your unit. If you see black smudges on your food take the blade off and re-clean your unit (around the housing where the blade is kept). The black smudges come from the lubricant oil.Make sure that all meats and cheeses are cold or chilled.Allow the unit to cool down after 10 minutes of usage per the manual. When cleaning I also noticed that food gets stuck under the knob that turns for width adjustment. In order the clean it use a butter knife to remove debris. Use the butter knife under the knob and push through to the opposite side.A small wooden brush (one used for basting) is great for cleaning debris under the blade and unit as well.Hope that helps! If this review was helpful please say so below and thank you.
Slices nice. I recently purchased a canister to make homemade lunch meat and realized I needed something to slice it with. I found this and I love it 💓 works great for meats and cheeses. Also is awesome for slicing veggies! Really good quality. So far we’re really loving it!
I can understand the frustration but it seems like so many are rating this product off of what. So I gave it 4 stars.First, for those reviewing this with 1-star ratings. I can understand the frustration but it seems like so many are rating this product off of what it can’t do versus what it can. If you’re looking for a deli-style slicer for paper thin cuts with almost no work to it, yes, this product is not for you. There’s a reason commercial slivers cost so much. Ultra thin and well crafted blades with high rpms don’t come cheap. For all the reviewers giving this 5 stars, this really is t as great as everyone makes it out to be. There are some serious design flaws and it takes some work and toying with to get the hang of this product.Pros:(1) will slide better than a knife and more consistent than a mandolin.(2) fairly easy to operate. Cleaning didn’t seem too bad. You can’t put this or any parts in the dishwasher, which is a drawback for home users, but cleaning it didn’t make me feel like it was the end of the world.(3) it will cut near paper thing slices if you handle it the right way(4) slices bread in consistent sized slices. I like that this can act not only as a meat and cheese slicer, but also a bread slicer for my fresh baked loaves(5) does really save you money if you buy deli meats in bulk or cure your own deli meats. And the size is not too bad for a slicer. Fairly small and easily storable. It’s also very light in weight.Cons:(1) major design flaws. The adjustment knob itself seems fine, but the backing where the object to cut slides it weak. It does move during slicing(2) I don’t like the plastic handgaurd. It feels a bit flimsy(3) for something that is only 150w, I feel like inly being able to run it for 10 minutes is a bit frustrating, especially if you have a ton to slice. I understand the nature of the engineering behind it, but for a home – based kitchen appliance one would expect to be able to not have to let the thing “cool off” with such a low wattage rating. This tells me the engineering is not that well thought out.(4) the blade does operate at a low rpm. I suppose it’s not the end of the world for a home product, but i feel like they could have designed this a bit better with a higher rpmSuggestions for use:(1) for anything that it cut, if you want consistent sized slices, I would put the object of slicing a little higher. I know this could become a safety issue, so just think while you slice, and keep in mind you have a blade nearby. I’ve been using about 1/2 in- 1in off the bottom. It definitely yields better and more consistent cuts. I also don’t have anything get stuck in the blade.(2) for paper thin slices, you really need to set this almost near size 0. By following the first suggestion, it’ll get you there. It won’t be consistent, but at least you’ll be close enough to be happy(3) don’t press too hard on the hand guard. I feel like this is one issue that led me to inconsistent slicing.(4) don’t go fast. Doing so will certainly ensure uneven and inconsistent slices. The instructions even direct you to operate slowly. But obviously don’t slice, stop, slice, stop midway. You want one smooth slow pass. This will also get you thereOverall, this is a home kitchen product which is why I did give it a 4 star rating. If this were sold to me as a commercial product, I certainly would be complaining. Heck, the box even specifies to only use this in a home kitchen. If you’re looking to leave your deli and move to home cured or bulk deli meats, then this will get you there. But it does require some playing around with. Don’t expect to open this, shove a hunk of meat on it and expect high quality slices. Just like any non-commercial kitchen product, there will be inconsistencies. But for under $70, I think the quality of the product matches with the price well. You just have to learn how to use it the right way for everything you use it for. I’ve found different speeds of my hand moving and heights really make a difference based on the type of food being sliced.. I know most of us want these things to be intuitive and easy to use, but what can you expect for a kitchen product for less than $100? It does what it needs to do when used in the correct way for each type of food. With all that said, certainly worth the investment so far. I’ll give updates if anything changes.
Easy setup, use, and cleaning. Easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to clean
Satisfied customer. Thanks, I liked the name brand so I ordered slicer
Do Not Buy, Read these reviews. Absolute trash. Zero consistency in slices, loud motor, very slow blade speed. Left some disgusting grey/black film over every piece of my food, had to throw out $30 in cheese. Cuisinart should be EMBARRASSED that they put their name on this product.
Doesn’t slice meat very thin. This item was good for cutting any items such as fruit or veggies, but when it came to meat (our primary slicing need), it mostly just was too slow to thinly slice, and would just move the meat around.
Well worth the money. Easy operation, good safety features, easy to clean.
Only issue is that the thickness changes with every slice. No way to lock it so it doesn’t move.

Better than Expected. Very nice, and very sharp! It gets the job done! Great quality for the price!
Great buy. Works great and is very easy clean was impressed for the price
Stable meat slicer. The slicer comes with suction feet that hold steady. The slices fall off but the location of the thickness control is too close to where the slices land. Very easy to use, not dishwasher safe. Only the blade and the meat press are removable. The big savings will come from roasting meat and slicing for sandwiches and subs. Fresh roasted turkey is a healthier option to the deli counter.
You will love it. Cuts clean. Easy to clean. Easy to use
Good enough for the price. Sliced pretty well and was easy to use. Kind of a pain to clean. Could be a little more powerful. Didn’t really suction to the counter, but wasn’t moving around. Overall for the price it’s not bad and gets the job done.
Does what it is supposed toi. Was not expecting much for the price but was pleasantly surprised. As many reviews stated it is small so you won’t be getting those long bacon slices but if you don’t mind cutting your slab down it does a great job. Everything comes apart easy for cleaning. Just keep in mind this is not an industrial machine and it will do just fine
Great kitchen gadget to have. This works well and saves me money on being able to cut up meat to use in other ways that I wouldnt normally be able to do. Have to admit Im a little afraid of it because it is very sharp and not having alot of experience with such a device Im very careful. Do like it though
Cut meat falls on machine, no space for a tray. Not easy to clean. It’s not easy to clean. When you take the blade off you get gear oil/grease all over you. There is not much of an opening to put a tray to catch the cut meat. The meat literally falls into the machine. Worse design ever. If it was within the return window I would def return this and buy a different one. Not a good investment other than it slices. But I have less clean up with a sharp knife.
Love it! Great quality and so much better than my old foldable rival meat slicer. Love that this is all metal and when i adjust the thickness guide it stays where i put it. Well worth the price.Update: still love my slicer but if you are going to be slicing much hard cheese i would suggest going with a different one with a stronger motor. This will slice the cheese but if its very cold the motor seems to struggle a bit and you have to go quite slowly. I will keep this one as long as it lasts me but in the future would buy one with a stronger motor.
Super fast delivery .I haven’t used it to much but I can say is it works good and it’s a great deal . If you need a slicer , this is a good one. I liked it so much I bought a second one for the cottage.
Well worth the price. Had no problem cutting meats with it to the thickness I wanted. Haven’t tried cutting anything else and probably won’t since it meets my needs. Would have preferred a metal meat holder to the plastic one but it seems to work well. Hope it stands up to regular use.

Great value, solid product. Great value for the money. Light and easy to operate and clean. Mostly all good, could replace the hard plastic gears. Only other thing that could improve it is on the back side where the cut meat slices come out. They fall onto the back housing of the slicer. Needs to add a guide to allow the meat to fall onto a container. But overall a great home meat slicer!
Easy to clean. Great value for the money. it works just as stated in description. I use it to slice my own sandwich meat and bread for said sandwich. Easy to clean. No nonsense slicer.
Good for home use. I looked at and read reviews for dozens of this type of slicer prior to purchasing this one. I chose this one because of reviews and the apparent strength/ sturdy construction. It is important to keep in mind that this is not meant to be used in a business such as restaurants or a deli etc. It is definitely designed for home use. Overall this slicer preforms well despite some obvious design flaws. I have tested the slicer with summer sausage, deli meats and various types of cheese. I found that the biggest annoyance is the space between the feed table and the back of the machine. This excessive gap (about 3/8”) makes it impossible to slice all of the food being sliced, leaving you with an oddly cut or too thick of a slice at the end. The next flaw is the food pusher itself. The handle, so to speak, that’s used to push the food towards the back while slicing is plastic and too flexible. It does not hold well on the far end towards the blade. This would work much better if the handle on the pusher was more centered to give more even distribution of the pressure applied to the food being sliced, or perhaps if it were made out of metal like most of the machine. I found the blade to be very sharp as it should be and no damage or issues with the teeth. Unfortunately, there is another design flaw here. The blade is very slightly warped which if much worse, would not allow for even slicing. Next is the suction cups that hold it down for safe slicing. These suction cups are very strong, maybe too strong. The unit will not move when properly set to a smooth countertop or surface. In my case, while trying to move the slicer after the third use, one of the suction cops held so tight that the mounting screw pulled through it. I had to remove the screw and remount the suction cup. This will likely be an ongoing issue and may be corrected with a better mounting option by the manufacturer. Cleaning is quick and easy as it does break down nicely. The table, pusher, and blade are easily removed giving full access to clean the machine itself and the parts can be cleaned easier as well. I personally prefer hand washing parts so I did not check to see if the parts are dishwasher safe. Refer to the manual on that. Again, Overall it is a good product so far and I would not hesitate to purchase it again.
How well it will hold up long term. I really like it so far. I have used it 4 times in the 3 days I have had it. Works great slicing real thin for chicken dog treats for my dogs. Sliced Mozzarella super thing for lasagna. Pray it lasts a long time.
Not for big slicing projects. This unit is not as robust as I’d like it to be. I sometimes wished I’d spent more money and got something more powerful. It is difficult to clean and there is nothing to catch the slices. It is handy, but if we had more slicing projects, I’d invest in something more powerful with more features.
Every kitchen should have one. Perfect home sclicer! Does a great job on roast beef, ham, turkey anything that you wanna slice up sandwiches.Affordable! Easy to clean and use
Good slicer for the money. Bought this slicer to make beef jerkey. It is adequate. Construction is good. Uses a lot of plastic and some metal. Blades are easy to remove and cleans up easily. Sharp blades, I got both blades. It’s pretty light and compact. I caught mine on sale. Worth every penny.Had four Stars, but after considering, it deserves 5. If you want better…pay more. Over all…I’m happy with my purchase. My friend bought one after me. He is happy too.
Good slicer for home use. This is a good light duty slicer. I’ve used it a handful of times now for deli meats to shave beef(sukiyaki cut) to slice beef for jerky and to this slice vegetables.Pros:It is compact and light weightThe suction cup feet help keep the unit from sliding around while in use.It has plenty of power to slice most things. It hasn’t bogged down on me, even when cutting frozen meat.Cut thickness is consistent from top to bottom of the blade. It is fairly easy to cleanCons:Being compact means that larger meats will need to be broken down to more manageable sizes before slicing. Don’t expect to cut a full slab of bacon or a whole brisket. The marks to indicate cut thickness aren’t accurate. On mine the 2mm mark brings the guide flush with the blade. Not a big deal, but worth noting. It is easy enough to adjust it to your desired thickness. The tray sits pretty far from the guide plate and blade. You will end up with an end piece about 3/8″ thick. The pusher (or whatever it’s called)fits a little too snug on the tray. It is difficult to slide and I normally end up taking it off out of frustration. Safety devices shouldn’t be difficult to use. This is the only reason I am knocking a star off my rating. I always end up using something else so I don’t get my fingers too close to the blade.Overall it isn’t a bad slicer for the price as long as you are willing to work within the size constraints. I you want to cut full sized strips of bacon then this unit isn’t right for you.
As someone uses an electric slicer on a regular basis for more than 20 years, this machine provides excellent value for the money. I find the cheaper models last 5 – 7 years depending on how often you use it. I think this is okay because replacing them when they wear out is still cheaper than buying an industrial model for thousands of dollars. I use mine almost weekly depending on the month. I loved my previous slicer from a different brand but this one is far superior for a few reasons:- It has suction cups that keep the machine from sliding around on a smooth table.- You get 2 blades instead of just 1.- The mechanism for removing the blade is easy to use. My previous one required me to use a large screwdriver.- It’s easy to take apart for cleaning.- The blade is 7.5 instead of 7.0 which allows me to cut larger things. Half an inch bigger is great!- The slider stays in place. My previous one had a weird way of locking the slider in the required groove.Reading some of the complaints of other reviews. I just have to say in response, “this is not an industrial model and adjust your expectations accordingly.” Every cheaper home kitchen slicer I have used for the past 20+ years tells you not to run it for more than 5 minutes. They can overheat or blow the fuse. If you blow a fuse, it’s an easy fix that costs pennies. All of them have plastic pushers that work just fine. If you don’t put it in the dishwasher it will last for the life of the slicer. This is an amazing little machine. So far I have used it to slice roast pork for Italian sub sandwiches. The slices are very thin and an even thickness. That means that the blade is super sharp. I am confident that this study little machine will out perform any of my prior models.
Great little slicer for home use!
I purchased this product because I have a freezer full of meat I want to use for more versality in my meals and to get the most economical use I can including slicing my own bacon. The unit is simple and straightforward to use, easy to clean and best of all, its Quiet. It easily slices semi-thawed slabs of bacon though it obviously doesn’t slice frozen meat. I keep it unplugged and covered in its plastic bag when not in use and tuck it into a corner to save counter space. Quite pleased with my purchase. I does come with two blades as promised; one for meats, the other for fruit and veg making home canning easier.

Overall a good product. So I originally bought this because I eat entirely too many cold cuts from the deli. I drive for a living and sandwiches/ wraps are the easiest to eat while driving, and fast food sucks so I make my lunches at home before I leave. Processed deli meat has a lot of preservatives and sodium so my intention was to just cook chicken breast/ pork tenderloin/ turkey at the house and slice it myself. This product does the trick pretty well. The blade does not spin anywhere near as fast as I thought it would as I’ve used professional equipment before and kind of expected that but it does slice through cooked meat beautifully. Other people said the noise is kind of loud, I don’t think it’s that bad at all. It came with a serrated blade however for $20 I was able to buy a non serrated blade from the company.Cleaning this is not horribly difficult. Including the blade, four pieces come off super easy and can be tossed into a sink full of soapy water. The blade is not sharp enough to take your finger off if you reach into the sink and grab it, which I kind of wished it was but for home use is probably safer than it isn’t. It is still a fine enough edge to cut through the meat and definitely bread but your fingers will be safe in the dishwater. The rest of the machine can be wiped down with a damp rag. Little scraps of meat do tend to be all over it when I’m done however wiping down the counter half of your done cleaning the slicer isn’t too difficult either.Did notice as others have mentioned there are a couple of places, little tiny areas that little bits of meat could get into and getting that cleaned out for health purposes is important. My solution was to grab an extra toothbrush the next time I was at the store. Get a nasty color handle that nobody wants and leave it in the kitchen near the sink. It works beautifully to get into those little areas and dislodge anything that is stuck there. ( Hmmm, kind of like what a toothbrush is designed for 🤔)So yes overall I believe this is worth the money I paid and considering a pound of sliced chicken breast at the deli can cost about $8, and a pound of chicken breast that I cook here at home cost me about $2, this will pay for itself in a couple months.
Worth it. Bought this awhile ago and still runs great, Mom absolutely loves it, cuts extremely well, durable, and well worth the money
Perfect for Jerky. We’ve gotten into making homemade jerky to avoid all the price hikes & pesky additives. This is the only thing we’ve used it for, but it’s easy to use, clean, and does an awesome job with quick and consistent cuts! It’s a little loud, but no big deal. We love the safety features and smaller size for storage.
Nice Meat Slicer for the Money. I purchased two of these one for myself and one for a gift which was the only thing they really wanted for Christmas and I feel this is a very nice priced Meat Slicer compared to other ones I have seen.We actually used this slicer the very first day we received it and am impressed with its ease of use.The instructions are complete and very helpful the suctions feet are a nice addition to make the slicer stable when using you can feel it is staying in place. The safety features are amazing it has a very nice guard when feeding to keep your hands safe it has a two point system to turn on and use which would make it harder for a child or young adult to play with.Quite frankly I could not figure out why it was not slicing till I saw this feature and am very Thank full they added it for the safety of the consumer .You can choose your size of sliced meat with a nice dial that is easy to adjust .It is easy to clean and remove the blades and wash and wipe down.I actually found a few videos on line I found helpful for cleaning and storage. We have used our Slicer for Large turkey pieces as well as meat and even freshly baked bread .If you are on the fence purchase this slicer you will not be disappointed.
Does what it says. When something is good, I prefer to get the bad out first. So, you can see my rating here, but I’m still docking it a tiny bit for “ease of cleaning”. There’s a small hole near the bottom left of where the blade is seated, looking at the appliance, that I can find no way of cleaning out without a screwdriver. I doubt it’s going to be a huge problem but a piece of meat did fall in there. Bad for bacteria growth. Otherwise, this thing is quite easy to get clean. The blade, pusher, guide rod and platform all come off without any tools. The back is easy enough to clean with soap and water or a disinfectant wipe.So what’s good? Just about everything. First off, the price is beyond reasonable. I thought I’d have to drop a few hundred on a deli slicer, but that’s simply not true. $100 or so for something rated so well,I had to get it. It’s definitely a great value. Now, keep in mind, 7.5″ blade is a lot smaller than what you see at the deli. You’re gonna be a bit limited here. That said, a little creative cutting will make the vast majority of stuff manageable with this blade. This is still a great value at this price.Next, the blade: seriously don’t touch it. It comes nearly razor-sharp, and with the serrations will likely last me a few years before I need to take it in to get it sharpened professionally. The sharpness is a key factor in the next bit and the reason I wanted one in the first place: thin cut meat.So you’re looking at this because you want that paper-thin deli meat, as I was, right? Yeah, you’re getting that here. I ended up dialing the thickness up a bit because what I used it for first was jerky. I wanted nice thin planes of meat to dehydrate. Yeah, I tired it on a thinner setting, paper thin in fact, and that just doesn’t work. The meat falls out the back into a crumpled mess that will never pick up enough marinade! It does this job too well for jerky, but cooked meats? Oh you better believe I’m going to be making a beef roast and slicing it up with this, and soon. Arby’s got nothing on the thinness I’m going to go for. Now, I’ve seen people whimpering about the volume of this sucker. I was going “of course it’s loud, you peanuts! It’s basically a circular saw that cuts delicious meat!”I was wrong. They were more wrong. It’s quieter than a food processor! I suck with decibels, but, what, ten db quieter? I wouldn’t run it with a sleeping baby on the room, but it’s better than running a blender. This does, however, mean the blade spins far slower than I thought. I expected this to be a problem, but with nice freezer-chilled meat? Not so much. Fat, though… Watch out for the fat cap on a good roast. It’s a good way to get rid of the fat at the ends, but it does not like the white stuff.Overall, I’d say it does a great job. If you need super thin meat or cheese, this is absolutely the way to go. I won’t say it’s going to save you money, but it’s way more convenient than asking the butcher to cut things up thin for you.

The OSTBA slicer is ideal for users who require a device capable of slicing through thick cuts of meat. Its thickness dial offers settings ranging from paper-thin to three-quarters of an inch. This may sound excessively bulky, but its 150-watt motor was performed admirably during our tests.

If you lack confidence in the slicer’s motor power, it is also available in a 200-watt model for a bit more oomph. A child lock prevents the slicer from falling into the wrong (tiny) hands. This is accomplished by having a safety lock button that must be paired with the power button.

It’s a simple feature, but it could prevent many mishaps. Built with detachable components for simple and secure cleaning and encased in a cover when stored to avoid exposure to moisture or dust overnight.

How to use Commercial Meat Slicer

If you’re looking to slice meat like a pro, you’ll need a commercial meat slicer. These powerful machines can quickly and easily slice through even the most brutal cuts of meat, making them a must-have for any busy kitchen. In this guide, we’ll show you how to use a commercial meat slicer so that you can start churning out perfectly sliced meat in no time.

  • To start, you’ll need to select the right blade for your slicer. If you’re slicing cooked meat, you’ll want to use a thinner blade so the meat can cut more easily. For raw meat, however, you’ll need to use a thicker blade, so the meat doesn’t fall apart. Once you’ve selected the right blade, you’ll need to adjust the slicer to the correct thickness. The average thickness for sliced meat is about ⅛ of an inch, but you may want to change this based on your preference.
  • Once the slicer is adjusted to the correct thickness, you can begin feeding the meat through the machine. Start by placing the end of the meat onto the blade and then gently pushing it through. Always keep your hands clear of the blade to avoid injury. If you’re slicing multiple pieces of meat, be sure to slice them one at a time, so the slicer doesn’t become overloaded.
  • Once all the meat has been sliced, you can begin packaging it for sale or storage. If you’re selling the meat, be sure to package it to keep it fresh and delicious. For storage, you can either vacuum-seal the meat or place it in an airtight container. Either way, you’ll want to label the meat so you can quickly tell what it is and when it was sliced.

And there you have it! Using a commercial meat slicer is a quick and easy way to get perfectly sliced meat every time. With a bit of practice, you’ll be churning out perfectly sliced meat like a pro.

Factors To Consider When Choosing The Best Commercial Meat Slicer

It would be best if you considered a few factors when choosing the best commercial meat slicer. These include:

Type of meat

This is an essential factor as different meats require different slicing thicknesses. If you are slicing thin cuts of meat, you will need a slicer with a smaller blade. Conversely, if you are slicing thick cuts of meat, you will need a slicer with a larger blade.

Size of the slices

This is another essential factor to consider as it will determine the size of the slicer you need. If you require large slices, you will need a slicer with a large blade. Conversely, if you only require small slices, you will need a slicer with a smaller blade.

Power

This is an essential factor to consider as it will determine how quickly and easily the slicer can slice through the meat. If you require a slicer that can slice through large cuts of meat quickly and easily, then you will need a slicer with a lot of power. Conversely, if you only require a slicer that can slice through small cuts of meat slowly and easily, you will need a slicer with less power.

Durability

This is an essential factor to consider as it will determine how long the slicer will last. If you require a slicer that will last for many years, then you will need a durable slicer. Conversely, if you only require a slicer that will last for a few months, you will need a less durable slicer.

Price

This is an essential factor to consider as it will determine how much you will have to spend on the slicer. If you require a durable, durable, powerful slicer, you will have to spend more money. Conversely, if you only need a low-quality slicer that is not exceptionally durable or powerful, then you will not have to spend as much money.
